Hi everyone! I've been reading the posts on these boards for about 5 weeks now, so feel like I should probably introduce myself. I am 33 and my DH is 34. We've been married for 5.5 years. It took us 3.5 years to conceive. I had an early term miscarriage last October (it happened on Halloween) and so far everyone looks great this time. I'm currently 11.5 weeks. This will be our first child. I'm very excited and very nervous! Looking forward to communicating with everyone and hope we all have safe and healthy pregnancies and babies!
Hi everyone! I've been semi lurking for a few weeks now. I'm sticking with my screen name for now. I'm 29, DH is 30, and I'm 11.5 weeks pregnant with our first baby. We had our first ultrasound on Thursday because I'm petite and my uterus was "taller" than expected - which made them nervous about twins! We are expecting a singleton February 3rd and couldn't be happier!

Hello ladies! My name is Renee and I am 32. I live in Michigan. Married 5 years (together 8). I have a daughter who is 2 years 4 months old. She is so much fun! I work full time in the environmental field. My DH travels to different states for work and is home occasionally. This is my second pregnancy and my EDD is February 21. I have not been to the dr yet. I go next week on Thursday - and am very anxious. As you all know, its difficult to wait and see if LO is doing okay in there.
We also have a 6 year old chocolate lab...i had a 12 year old cat who i recently had to put down due to the onset of heart disease. So sad...

Hi Ladies! I have a 20 mo old son. I followed the Nov13 board when I was pregnant with him. I'm from Ohio, born in Arizona (we stayed until I was 10). I'm 31 and my husband is 29. We have two dogs, a bulldog and a blue pit puppy we just rescued. I'm a runner and unless my husband is home I push my son in his stroller. I don't run quite the long distance that I used to but still run 4+ days a week and do conditioning, as well. I had my first ultrasound on July 1 and am 11 weeks exactly today; EDD is 2/9. I mostly just read (been following-lurking since I found out I was pregnant), then I'll want to post to contribute something or some experience and realize crap I've never introduced myself.

Hi, I guess...I should do an intro here....? I've been on TB for a VERY long time. We had lots of issues, m/cs etc. Finally had my first successful pregnancy producing my LO who was born last Oct. Had a high risk pregnancy, placenta previa, and some weird birthing things. Hopefully will avoid those this time around! My full history is in my sig.
I wonder if anyone will ever even read this. As a total Type-A organized person I totally get why we are lumping these into pinned posts. I guess I have just been on TB so long that I think it is a little weird and kind of goes against the nature of forums to try to heard people into pens like this. I like going through pregnancy (successful or not) with the support of other people going through the same thing, but I'm not liking the layout of this and how naziesque people are about correcting other posters constantly about where they should have posted their thread. I almost feel like it is more disruptive than if you were to just ignore a post that doesn't look interesting to you.
Based on how 28 pages have been filled with intros I can see how, in theory, it would be annoying to see every individual one. However, I think the average lurker would be more likely to post on a thread like this, rather than creating their own individual thread. So it looks like far more than you would normally see, based on my experience more than 1/2 of these people would not have posted an individual thread for their intro.
I'm obviously just as much of a lemming as everyone else who posted on here and will attempt to obey the rules, though I think it is weird and controlling. I also think it is interesting how people are not allowed to post their pregnancy tests. I haven't seen a good explanation for this (I'm mainly referring to TTGP, because that doesn't really apply here).

I was in the March 16 birth group but I had my 8week Scan on Tuesday and she dated me 3 days ahead so I'm now due 27th of February instead of 1st of March, my name is Dani, I am 22 and have been with my fiancé for 4years now and this is my 4th pregnancy with the other 3 ending in miscarriage unfortunately, hoping this baby makes it and I get to hold him/her in my arms! Hi I'm Roos, 30 years old, I live with my husband and cat in Missouri. We moved to the USA (also the cat from the Netherlands last year in July because I could take a very exciting research position here, and I love my job and we love being in the USA! I went through two pregnancies last year both resulting in a missed miscarriage and d&c (one at 9 weeks, one at 11 weeks). It was a very difficult time, but I am super happy to be 11 weeks pregnant now. This time we saw a heartbeat on the ultrasound, so we are a bit more confident that this time it will work out. Although now and then I get very insecure especially when suddenly the pregnancy symptoms are much less.
Well, it is great to be on thebump, so much fun to read all these different stories and introductions from women from all over the country and all walks of life. Also very helpful for me, as a support, to understand how things are done here in the USA (quite different then from where I am from to hear how you are experiencing all these weird things happening to our bodies and our lives. On the forum that I wrote (all from Dutch mothers-to-be in my own language) there are many subgroups of about 15 women who get to know each other better and support each other in person, they sometimes have private FB-groups. Some of those groups end up meeting a few times and become good friends. Is there something like this on here? Is anybody interested?
My DH and I met freshman year of college and dated for 9 years before we getting married. We have been married for almost a year now. He is 29 and I'm almost 29. This is our first pregnancy and and are extremely excited. husband is a lawyer and a very reasonable person, I'm a speech language pathologist and very impulsive person lol. We live in st Louis and within 2 miles of both sets of parents. We are extremely fortunate and blessed in many ways and look forward to passing our love, knowledge and life wisdom onto our children. Due date feb 25th!

My name is Emily and I am 29, this is my first pregnancy. My husband and I have been together for 3 years just got married on May 23rd and had a pretty big surprise wedding present to ourselves...a baby!! We couldn't be happier though and the baby is supposed to arrive on February 22nd. I am an Environmental Engineer and I am currently getting my PhD, which should interesting with a baby. We have a 5 year old English Springer Spaniel named Ginnie and she is pretty much my baby at this point.
The morning sickness (or all day sickness) has been pretty rough and has been impacting my work quite a bit. I wasn't sure when to tell my boss (adviser)...I was thinking 12 weeks but am not sure I can hold off that long because of how crappy I have been feeling. Any input on that would be appreciated.

We recently found out we are expecting our first human baby (8wks 6days) we believe! We have 2 dogs, 6 horses, and several cows who are our children as well!
