Miss Callie Ann arrived 6/16 @ 7:23pm. 7lbs, 19.5in, blonde hair! Woke up with contractions at 2am, hospital at 11:30am, water broke naturally at 2pm, pushed for 45 min. She has daddy wrapped around her finger and we are so in love :x Everyone is doing well!
Baby Miles Edward was born June 11 at 9:36 am. Induced at 38 weeks and 5 days. Concerned about his head size not fitting out of mom! In labor for 25 hours and pushed for 2 and a half. Turns our he was "sunny side up" and was getting caught on the edge of my pubic bone. Finally had to use the vaccuum (which came off three times). Fourth degree tears required a lot of stiches but we were able to avoid a c-section! Thank goodness for epidurals. It was all worth it when I saw his handsome face! Dad and I are completely in love! 7 lbs 7.5 oz 20 1/2 inches long
Cassidy Ann Greider born June 12 at 9:38am. 8lb 2oz 20inches long. I had to have a c-section due to preeclampsia after being induced for 24 hours and not dilating past 3cm. The epidural was done wrong so I had to be put under for the operation, but baby girl
Baby Samuel was born 6/16 at 23:23 from an emergency c section when I arrived to be induced I had a slight fever. Doctor broke my water and could smell an infection so not twenty minutes later he was coming. He weighed 7lbs 6 oz and is 21 in long and seems to be doing well on the antibiotics.
Syd.ney Ly.nn was born today at 38 w 4 d via c section. 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 Inches long. I started to get high BP and it was decided to take her the next day. When I came in this morning, I was having contractions ever 3/5 min. She was determined to be born today.
Ethan Antonio was born on 6/14 at 40+3. Was scheduled for an induction for 6/21 but he had other plans. Began having contractions on 6/13 at 7pm and was beginning to lose my Mucous Plug. Called the OB at 8pm and she told to wait it it out at home as it was early labor. At 10:30pm the pain was unbearable and decided to go to the hospital. To my disappointment I was only 1.5cm dilated. However they decided to keep me. That night was horrible; little to no sleep. By 8am the following day I was 7cm and they rushed me to get Epidural. By 11am I was fully dilated and ready to started pushing around 11:45am and he arrived at 2:05pm. FTM and the pushing was the most difficult part. I am so in loved with my boy. He is nursing well, but I am very sore!!! Good luck to everyone!!!
Adeline Claire was born 6/17 at 1:25pm at 39w 1day. 19.75" and 7lb 5oz. Six hour induction, 3 pushes! Different from 15 hr induction and 2hr pushing with first . DH and I love her, as does DD!
Quinn Marie was born today via scheduled repeat c section at 39 weeks 4 days. She was 9 lbs 8.5 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Mommy, daddy and big sister love her so much!
Wren Eloise born 6/17, 7lb 8oz, 19.75". Pitocin was started at 10:30am and she was born at 1pm with 2 good pushes. The epidural was not completely effective, but it did take the edge off and even though labor was still fast, it was completely different than when DS was born. Night and day different. The anesthesiologist was frustrated, they upped my dose twice and then tried additional drugs, none of which blocked the contractions. But still SOOO much better than my first experience. She's breastfeeding like a champ and currently sleeping in my arms. :x
Piper Mackenzie was born at 10:26 after a pretty rough and long labor. She is having some trouble breathing so she is spending the night in the NICU. T&Ps would be very much appreciated. Thank you all!
I'm a week late, but here's my baby boy Rohan. Born on 11/6/14 at 1:03am, he gave us some scares along the way - his cord was around his neck and his heart rate started dropping while pushing, then I had a post partum haemorrhage and lost approx 1600mls of blood. But thanks to the doctors and midwives that were looking after me, we're both here, safe, happy and healthy.
Connor Lucas Maragno❤️ Born Tuesday June 16 2015 at 12:52 am. Weighing in at 7lbs 8oz and 19 inches long. Induced at 37 weeks due to Cholestasis. Cannot praise God enough for this precious, beautiful, healthy little blessing!!! Cannot get over how perfect he is and that after adopting his older brother, that he then happened for us!!! I am so over the moon, it's insane
Sean Daniel was born at 2:10 this morning at 38w2d after my water broke at 11:30. Ended up having a c-section due to breech presentation. 5lbs 7.8oz. 18.75 inches. He's tiny but mighty. Practically perfect in every way.
Oliver Michael was born at 1:00 am on 6/13, after 24 hours of labor. I ended up agreeing to augmentations that was hoping to avoid and having an epidural much earlier than hoped for as well, but had a vaginal birth, and that is what most wanted in my birth experience. He came out sunny side up... dear God. 6 lbs 6 oz. Doing great with breastfeeding.
My Fast and Furious L&D!.........I'm really late to the party - Bode William was born on June 8th. He was born a tiny 6.5lbs and 18inches at 40+4 weeks. I was afraid of having a big baby and boy was I wrong. No joke my labor and delivery was like something you see on a sitcom. I woke at 4:00am because of storms and just laid there talking to my husband. At 4:30 I felt a contraction, but didn't think too much about it because I've been having them in the early AM for the past couple weeks. But then I had another about 5 minutes later. Again, didn't think too much about it. Then a third. At this point I figured this must be the start of labor so I would go take a warm bath and relax until we had to leave for the hospital (assuming it would be a few hours away). Went pee and started filling up the tub. Got undressed and walked to the vanity to get my hair up into a clip and suddenly felt liquid running down my legs. So, told my husband "I think we need to go to the hospital now". Of course I didn't have any kind of bag packed so he is running around like a crazy man throwing anything he can think of into our overnight bag (which turned out to be nothing I actually needed, lol) I attempted to help him, but really just walked around the house doubling over ever couple minutes. Next thing I know, it's 5:10 and contractions are only 2 minutes apart. I told him we don't have time to take DS to his parents house (which was the plan). Luckily my BIL lives in the same subdivision as us so we dropped him off there. Got to the hospital at 5:50am. My husband pulled up to the front of the hospital and we got out of the car and headed up to L&D and was taken to triage - I was 5cm and 100%. I was taken to my room and hooked up to everything. They gave me oxygen because peanuts heart rate kept dropping with each contraction. I got my epidural at 6:50ish then house Dr came in and was all cool and calm. He was all "Well it looks like we are about to have a baby. It's going to be a good day." He reminded us of Ken Jeong
from the movie Knocked Up. lol My OB/GYN made it in time.and delivered our peanut at 7:24am. He had the cord wrapped around his neck and there was a knot. But, he is a healthy boy and nursing like a champ.
Cheyenne Hattie made her beautiful debut June 19th @ 12:19 a.m. Weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces. 18 hours of induced labor and out after 2 pushes. Daddy, two older sisters and I are completely over the moon for her!
We said hello to our beautiful baby girl on 6/18 Anya Nicole was born a healthy 7lbs 12ozs 20inches long after 12 hours of induced labor including the hour of pushing. 3 small tears but both mommy and baby are doing awesome
Don't have a picture I can upload yet, But our wonderful rainbow baby Trinity Alexis was born on June 17 at 41+4 days by induction. She weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 19 1/2 in long. She got a clean bill of health and we are home now.
OUR FAMILY is a circle of LOVE! TOGETHER we are UNBREAKABLE! FAMILY is FOREVER!
There's a RAINBOW of HOPE after EVERY STORM! And a POT-OF-GOLD at the END of EVERY RAINBOW!
Way late to the game. Makenzie and Harper were born June 3. Makenzie was born at 8:11am weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces. She was 19 inches long. Harper was born at 8:12am weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces. She was 20 inches long. It was a planned c-section due to one breech and one transverse baby. I was 38w2d. We are all happy and healthy. Loving my twin girls. Our son is 2 and a half and in love with his sisters!
My sweet little Holden James decided to come a week after his EDD on 6/18/15 at 8:33 in the morning. I had a c section due to failure to progress and when they pulled him out, the dr told me his head was sideways in the canal, so all the pushing in the world might not have moved him. I'm absolutely in love with my 8 lb 12 oz lil guy.
August Eric was born 6/20 at 10:02 am writing in at 9 lbs! We had an induction scheduled for 8 am but our little guy decided he wanted to come on his own terms and my water broke at 3:30 am. I went in and was contracting 3 minutes a part and was a 6. I opted for an epidural and it was smooth sailing from there on out. He's feeding like a champ and we we both doing well.
Camille Clementine was born June 13th (41+3) at 2:42pm, weighing 8lb 12oz and 22.5 inches long. Labor started naturally, but the pain was too intense once they hooked me up to the monitors and I couldn't move around to cope, so I opted for an epidural and had the perfect experience with it -- had sensation in my legs the whole time and could feel to push, but had zero contraction pain. We are enjoying our girl so much! She is such a sweet, easy baby so far, and the first week has been wonderful!
A little late, but our little girl Emmalyn was born June 15 at 3:06am (39+6). She was 7lbs 7 oz and 20.5 inches long. Emma was born via c- section after 27 hours of labor due to infection and late D cell. Both mom and baby are home and doing wonderful!!
Juno was born at 7:25pm on June 18th after a 48 hour labor at 40+2. I did the first day of labor at home when the contractions were 5-15 minutes apart. At 2am on day 2 they were 4-5 min apart for 2 hours so we went to the hospital. Was 3.5cm and 90% effaced /(FTM) so they had me walk around for 90 minutes. the pain progressed while walking to back labor and i was throwing up from pain with every contraction. when they rechecked me at 5am i had only progressed a 1/2 cm and they told me that while she would arrive on the 18th, not to expect her until the afternoon or evening. at that point my birth plan went out the window. i decided to do a " walking" epidural" which cuts the pain from a 10/10 to a 3-5/10 and you can still move your legs, feel your legs, and stand up (though they dont actually let you walk). i was able to sleep for the first time in 2 days, so my husband and i napped for a few hours. when I woke up I was 6cm, and 3 hours later i was 10cm. Her decent into the pelvis was slow and when my ob checked, we realized that she was sunny side up and a huge baby. she did a very painful spinning of her from up to down mid contraction, over the period of about 3-4 contractions. this was the most painful thing i experienced in my life, even on the epidural because there was a whole hand up into the cervix/base of uterus forcibly turning the baby mid contraction. Juno didn't like being turned and was fighting and kicking and trying to turn herself back. After she was turned, i was allowed to have her re-descend for another 1.5 hours. There were only 2 instances when a low dose of pitocin was on, once right after the epidural while i slept (and contractions slowed down) for about 3 hours, and then during the version through delivery (about 2 hours). After she descended to station 0, I used the body bar/tug of war pushing method. I used to do cross fit and i was also an angry pregnant lady ready to meet her baby after 2 days of labor, so every contraction, the 3 nurses/med students had to trade off on being my tug of war partner. My biceps are still sore 3 days later! Juno was born at 7:25pm weighing 8lb 13.65oz and 21 inches long. she had no complications. Mom had a grade 2 tear. we are home now and doing very well. we are both trying to be patient while my milk supply comes in.
A late post, but Team Green turned out to be Team Pink! Our baby girl Cassidy Ashley was born June 8 via c-section due to her large size - 11 pounds, 25 inches!
Jasper Naoki was born at 2:14 AM June 21, his due date, Father's Day and the summer solstice! I went in for an induction due to being AMA on June 19 at 5 am, and was in the hospital 45 long hours before he was finally born. My cervix didn't want to dilate past 1 even after a day and a half of Pitocin, so I agreed to let the doctor break my water yesterday afternoon. After that things progressed better and my contractions started coming in stronger and more regularly. I declined an epidural per my birth plan, but asked for something to take the edge off when things started getting hard and got some fentanyl by IV, which didn't really take away the discomfort/pain but seems to have helped me relax since I went from a dilation of about 5 to 10 relatively quickly. Then they checked me and it was time to push! I pushed 2 and a half hours and gave birth to our wonderful son! He is absolutely perfect and we love him so much! Still struggling with breastfeeding. He was 8 pounds 9 oz, 22 inches long!
One complication I am struggling with is very stiff/sore legs--I had bent legs during most of my active labor and pushing, and now they are so sore and swollen I can't really walk unassisted. It is so frustrating. I hope it gets better in the next few days.
James Franklin born June 20 12:53am at 40+6 days 7lbs 8oz. I had flexibly envisioned a naturalish labor, ended up induced with cytotec and pitocin and got an epidural at 3cm after Dr broke my water. So happy with the whole experience, had a few scares with my bp dropping and decels with contractions but got to deliver vaginally in the end 27 hrd after starting the induction. I loved giving birth! So tired but so happy and in love!
Ayla Clare was born on 6/20 at 5:22 am, 8.3 lb, 19.5". 40+1. I had an appt (40wk, due date) the day before and they swept my membranes. I had been contracting pretty consistently for a few days but the sweep kicked them up a notch almost immediately. But still only felt like moderate period cramps so I didn't think much of it. Was at dinner at a friends house when I noticed they were coming frequently (3-6 min) but not much stronger. Got home at 8:30 and they started getting more intense and really started timing at 9. Called dr at 10:30pm and she said to come in and on the way there I was in sooooo much pain. When they checked me I was 8 cm then 9cm by the time I got epi! This was a vbac so unfortunately she never descended far enough to push and I had a RCS. But that's ok, I am feeling great and she's incredible!!! I had a big win
