Team green turned pink this morning as baby Katie greeted us with her presence - after 4 days in hospital and two failed inductions - she was born via c section - she just wanted to wait for fathers day. See currently in special care but is doing great - I can't wait for a kiss and cuddle tomorrow.... :-) amazing feeling...
Samuel was born via a typical textbook style labor and delivery on June 21 at 39 weeks, 0 days. I had my membranes swept on Friday, lost my mucous plug on Saturday and my water broke Sunday morning. He had a high heart rate so we started pitocin to speed up contractions. I went without any drugs and it took 6 hours with dilation 4-6 being the longest, 6-10 taking 10 minutes and pushing for 5. He weighs 8 pounds 15 ounces, nurses and sleeps like a champ.
Our sweet little guy was born 6/3 at 39 weeks 4 days. Lost my mucus plug Friday, lots of contractions that weekend then nothing by Monday. By then I had a nasty cough & ear infection. 6/2 my dr put me on antibiotics and I felt a lot better that day. 6/3 4:45am my water broke, I thought I coughed so hard I wet myself but it just kept coming. A few hours later contractions began and he was born at 11:50 am, he was OP but I was able to have him naturally! He swelling in my legs has finally gone away and we are doing great!
Our little one abruptly woke us at 4am on Father's Day letting us know he was planning a speedy arrival at 40w4days. We arrived at the hospital at 6am, and I was already dilated to 9 & 3/4! Kingston Roy was born shortly after at 7:21am! Weighing 7.5lbs and is 20 inches.
I had hoped for a natural birth, and we certainly got it with such a quick delivery, although I had been aching for something from the time we arrived at triage. We had a scare when his heart rate dropped while pushing, which only took about 15 minutes. While the room grew more concerned for him, I am now thankful that the labour had been as quick as it was giving me the energy and focus to push him out as fast as I did. Another reassurance that everything happens for a reason. Luckily there was no complications and he's perfect! Every ounce of him is heavenly and DH and I are so thankful for the little prince! Feeling blessed and am praying for the rest of you new mummy's, soon to be mommy's & your babes! God is great!
James Reed was welcomed into the world on June 14th. He weighed 7lb 14oz and 20 3/4 inches long, mommy and daddy are more than happy to have him here ❤
Ian Michael was born on 6/19 @ 5:21 pm by c section after water had broke @ 1045 pm the night before. I had no progression from 4 cm even after starting Pitocin and Epidural. 8lbs 2 oz 19 1/4 in. 39 weeks!!
Watson James 7lb 11 oz. 21 inches. June 22, 2015. Easy induction. 6 pm got there. Did one dose of cytotec vaginal. Broke water 3 hrs later. Dilated fully by 6 am and pushed over 2.5 hrs and was told I was pushing amazing...... But nothing was happening. Well forceps, episiotomy (which we hardly ever do) done as an emergency because he wasn't budging. He was Acynclitic (sideways)...... Tore through my rectum....... Awesome!!!! Can't lay or sit or walk very well but I love this kid. Next time I'll be begging for my csection thank you.
Taryn Olivia made her grand appearance on Sunday June 21, Father's Day weighing 6 lbs 11 oz - 20 inches long. Water broke at 4:30 in the morning but did not have any contractions and was only dialated to 2. Called l&d was told to come in. They started pitocin but with every contraction, baby's heart rate dropped. They tried used a balloon catheter to help the dilation process- once again heart rate dropped. Balloon catheter was removed along with stopping pitocin. Around 1:00 the decision was made to opt for a c section. It ended up that her heart rate was dropping because the cord was wrapped around her neck. Thankfully baby girl came out crying and is happy and healthy! The Hubbs and I are over the moon with love for this little girl. We're still working on nursing- but giving it our best. Good luck to all the mommas still waiting for their time!
Nathaniel Jacob born June 22 at 3:20 pm. 7lbs 11 oz 21 inches long. Labored 12 hours at home went in to l&d was admitted at 5 cm. Quickly progressed to 7 cm within the hour finally got an epidural...thank god..broke my water 2 hrs later and started pushing almost immidetly. Only 15 mins of pushing and he made his big debue.
Lucas Richard was born 6/23 at 1:17am. Went to the doctor for my check up Monday morning and low fluid and possible 9lb 4oz baby earned me an induction at 40+4. Was 2cm and 50% effaced walking in. Pit started at 2. By 4, I was 4 cm. Got an epidural and went to fully dilated by 10. Started pushing when I felt the urge and 2.5 hours later out comes a 10lb 6oz, 22 3/4 inch baby! Was originally scheduled to be induced on the 26th so I'm beyond thankful we didn't or who knows how big he would be! Some tearing and swelling but otherwise we are both doing very well!
Brooke (still working on a middle name) was born this morning 6/23 at 7:12am. She is so perfect, I can't believe she's all mine. I mean, I GUESS I'll share with my husband hehe
Came in on Sunday at 9pm 1cm dilated but still had a hard cervix so started and completed 6 long rounds of cytotec. Finally I was 3-4cm, a little over 70% so started pitocin. Water broke on its own around 12am and started feeling pressure to push at around 5am when I was 9cm and 100%. I had an epidural very early on so didn't feel anything the whole time but the last 2 hours I had a window in my stomach that wasn't covered by the epidural so they topped me off. I was still able to to push and she was here after about 4 rounds of contractions.
Labor was surprisingly NOT what I expected. It was fairly easy for me, with exception to the time I actually felt something. Props to you all natural ladies!!
She latched like a pro and is the snuggliest, sweetest little girl. So in love
Water broke at 6:30pm hours after a membrane sweep on due date. Promptly headed to the hospital and got settled in. Cervix just did not want to cooperate at all.
Had the happiest baby according to nurses throughout the whole labour maintaining a stable heart rate.
Made extremely little progression through a series of attempts to induce stronger contractions and more dilation. More than 50hrs later I was finally able to push. An hour and a half later our little guy finally decided to arrive.
Pretty late in posting, preoccupied....Frances Meriem entered the world June 11th at 7lbs 5oz 20 inches of perfection! She came via emergency c section due to breech position. Due date was June 17th......love her to pieces
Gabriella Juliana was born on June 21st at 6:55 pm, 8lbs 8oz, 20 3/4 inches long. I was induced with the Foley balloon, after 10 hours I coughed and it popped right out (never been so happy for a cough!). I had contractions the entire time, but as soon as it came out they picked up. I planned to go all natural until I needed, at 6cm dilated I finally asked for the epidural. As soon as I got the epidural my water broke on its own. Contractions were coming but weren't constant so I got a small dose of pitocin. It did its job and soon after I was going into labor. The nurse checked my cervix and mentioned the baby was right there so we were going to "practice" pushing. After one practice push she was coming out, and less than 15 minutes later she was born! I am so in love with her already! Daddy got an amazing fathers day gift!
Emma Elizabeth was born on her due date on 6/11/2015. At around 9:30 AM at my 40 week appointment I started having light contractions and was dilated 1 1/2. I went home and at around 6:00 PM went back in to get checked and was dilated to a 6 with my water bulging! I walked around the hospital and had her naturally at 8:49 PM! She was 18 1/2 inches long and weighed 7 pounds 15.2 ounces!
Meet Kaylee June. Born on her due date 6/23 at 2:54 AM. After 26 hours of early labor with the last six of it having painful contractions 3-4 min apart lasting from 2-2 1/2 min long, I went back to L&D to get checked again for the second time yesterday at 2 pm. I was only dilated to a 2! They gave me a few different options, but ultimately I chose to get an epidural and pitocin to get the labor progressing. I managed to get a little sleep and had a slow progression. After some extremely painful back labor (even with the epi) I chose to have my water broken. Our little June Bug came into this world after about 35 minutes of pushing. 9# 2oz, 19 1/2" long and a giant head circ of 15". Only a minor tear so I opted for no stitches. We're all a bit tired, but doing well.
Carter Alan was born at 8:06 pm on his grandma's birthday, 6/23, 11 days past his due date. Labor started yesterday at 3:00 am, and I haven't slept since so the details will have to wait. He's a little chunker at 8lb 6oz, 21 in. Worth the wait :x
Louis Victor born 6/22 @ 5:30 pm. 7 lbs 7 oz, 20 1/2". Induced in the wee hours of Monday morning, little man joined us after a fairly uneventful labor and delivery. His 3 siblings can't wait to get him home today Big brother Tucker, is so proud!
Noah Allen decided to come 6 days late on 23/6 at 20:32 gmt. Nice short labour of 7hrs 45mins. Weighing almost dead on 9lbs. Had pooped in his water and decided to come out head first, followed by his hand/arm which twisted his whole body around and managed to basically tear one side of my labia in two so very swollen and sore from the stitching but I'm very glad he's here safely
Ava Simone was born on 6/23 at 7lbs 2oz, 19in long, 40+6. Contractions started at 5 minutes apart and were 3 minutes apart by the time I got to the hospital. But I was only dilated to a 3 when I got there so they had me walk for an hour before sending me home. I went from a 3 to an 8 in that hour and they rushed me to a bed for antibiotics (GBS+). It was too late to have the IV pain killers like I planned on having. I labored for 10 hours at an 8 with no drugs but after they told me that breaking my water would possibly make the pain worse I begged for an epidural. Greatest thing ever. After 2 more hours, my baby girl finally arrived. She's super mellow and we're still trying to get into the groove of breastfeeding.
Rylan Jordan was born 6/23 at 7 lbs 10 oz 19 in long. Born at 40 weeks 1 day. Had my membranes stripped on 6/22 around 3pm at 1 cm, started mild contractions around 1:30am 6/23, water broke at 5am. Strong contractions began shortly after. By 10:30am was still only at 1cm but contracting about 4-5 minutes apart so pitocin was started. Made it to almost 9cm by 8pm ish, and was begging for the epidural. My contractions were coming in bunches, I would have 2 or 3 back to back then a longer break between. Got the epidural by about 8:30. Pushed for about 45 minutes, he was born at 10:16 pm. Very healthy and happy baby boy, he is very quiet and super content! Also latched super fast!
Perrin James was born at 2:10am on 6/24 (today). He weighed in at 7#8oz and measured 20in long.
We checked in for inducement at 8am yesterday, had cytotec placed around 830-845am when I was 1cm dilated. Hung around (mostly walking) until almost 1pm, I had dilated to 2 - 2 1/2cm and they broke my water. Hung around some more (still walking) till about 5pm, we started pitocin IV when I was 3cm. Steadily amped up the pitocin about every half hour / 45 min. I got a 1 hour IV injection of Stadol to take the edge off around 8pm, still at 3-4cm. At 9pm we gave another hour's dose, but told the nurse to go ahead and call the guy for the epidural. Great timing cause that second injection of Stadol was pretty much worthless with the contractions coming on stronger. Also LO had moved around in there and was now sunny side up, so back labor was something fierce. Guy got here around 945pm, was done by about 10 - 1015pm, and I had gone from 3-4cm to 9 1/2cm. By 1030pm I was able to relax and get a nap for an hour. (*perfect* epidural. I cannot emphasize *perfect* enough. I could still move my legs and toes, feel pressure and urge to push, but was comfortable) 1130pm I woke up feeling pressure to push but waited a little longer so hopefully didn't have to push a long time. Started pushing at 1215am and two hours later (with a vacuum assist for the last 2 sets of pushes) the job was done.
Mom has a second degree tear but right now is feeling OK, other than tired. Perrin had a 'short cord' at birth, which doc says may have contributed to him wanting to stay put past my EDD and also to his slowness in progressing until the last bit there.
Cameron Thomas was born this morning at 8:37. 6/24/15 seven pounds nine oz twenty inches. He's absolutely perfect. Contractions suck! But the end result is beautiful! Working on breast feeding. Sorry can't post a pic I wish I could he's prefect.
Noa Lynn was born 6-18-15 at 39 weeks 2 days! Thought I would try to make it all natural, but ending up getting an epidural and a bag of pitocin. She was 7lbs 2oz, 18.5in long. She is amazing and my husband and I are so in love with her!
Miss Addie was born June 24th at 11:34 am. Weighing 7lb 8 oz and 21 inches long. She decided to come before our induction that was schedules for Friday. No pain Medications, no time. . We were only at the hospital less than 2 hours.
Had my beautiful daughter blaiklee shae, yesterday 6/23/15, at 3:27pm, at 40+3. We had our induction day set for today, but she wanted to come on her own time! Contractions started at 6 in the morning, they never became consistent, and they weren't very strong. we went into the hospital anyways and I was already 7cm!one hour later we were at a 10! 30 minutes of pushing and we had our 7lb 6 oz, 19 1/2 inch long baby girl!
Dav.on Saw.yer was born June 23 at 3:25 pm after a scheduled induction that turned into an urgent c-section. I did not get the birth I always dreamed of, but my son is healthy and here. He weighs 8 lb 2 oz and is 20 inches long. He loves sucking his fingers.
Sterling McKee Terry was born on June 24th at 10:44pm. My water broke at 2:30 and 6 hours later he is here. No medical interventions, no pain meds and no epidural, I am so thankful I was able to get through labor as planned and have to thank my boyfriend and my doula who helped in so many ways. Sterling is 8lbs 1oz and 21 inches long. Perfect in every way. He is in the NICU for now (he has TGA) until he goes in for surgery. I can't wait to take him home!
Late posting by my Gabriel Vaughn was born at 40wks3days on 6/11 6lbs 5oz 19.5in @9:11am via c-section. I was planning for a vbac but the epidural brought things to a screeching halt. It turns out he shouldn't have been delivered vaginally anyway, he was sunny side up, his shoulder got stuck and his cord was wrapped around his neck but he's here and healthy and eating like a boss! Already gained almost 2 pounds in 2 weeks!! Mama
Shiloh Jonah was born 6/22/2015. He weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and was born via c-section. He is our miracle baby and we are so in love with him. God is so good!
Owen Ernest is here! Born in Father's Day at 8:04 am at 40w1d. Was 9lb5oz, 20.5" long. Had mild menstrual like cramps after dinner On the 20th. No ebb and flow, just constant. Lost my plug on Friday, but didn't read too much into it. Well, Saturday around 8pm, I had some pink bloody show.
Thankfully, I went with my intuition and had my family pick up big brother while I waited for daddy to get home from the Rolling stones concert! Yes, of course the one time he goes out, I go into labor. At around 11:30 contractions started and they were already 5 minutes apart lasting a minute. Got to the hospital at 6cm. Contractions quickly got BAD and I was the romcom lady screaming for drugs!!! Epidural went in and slowed things down a bit, but not too bad. Pushed past a slight cervical rim and pushed for 20 minutes. They had me rolling and on O2 during pushing. turned out he had his cord tightly wrapped around his neck. They got it off and delivered without any ill effects! TONS of sandy brown hair! Mom, dad, big brother are so, so, so happy!
Born on June 24 @ 12:52am, a couple days after his due date, I'd like you all to meet Baby Russel! He is 6lbs. 5.6oz and 19 inches tall! He's my first and probably my only, but my husband and I are ecstatic and crazy in love!
Our baby surprise turned Girl this morning! Admitted at midnight, epidural at 3:30, baby arrived at 9:30. 3 hours in there were spent "trying to sleep."
3rd degree tear- 7lbs 12 oz and 20.5 inch long! So in love. Was 40+3
Contractions came on strong after lost mucus plug yesterday and they said my water broke at some point during contracting at home. Epidurals are amazing!
After 22 hours of labor your mother went through and a C-section, you made it safe and sound. From the moment I knew your beautiful mother was pregnant, a new chapter in both our lives were beginning. You gave me life. I will promise to be the best daddy for you and raise you with all the love in the world.
As I'm holding her on my chest and watching her sleep is the best feeling in this world and I can't put it into words.
All the info throughout these months had helped me and gave me great advice. I wish everyone the best. Thank you again.

11 hours of hard labor.
Finley J. Gomez 5lbs 12oz, 19" long
Easy induction. 6 pm got there. Did one dose of cytotec vaginal. Broke water 3 hrs later. Dilated fully by 6 am and pushed over 2.5 hrs and was told I was pushing amazing......
