My husband likes Beckham if it's a boy.. I'm still not thinking about it yet.. As I'm just trying to adjust with all that is going on..
One of my friends recently named her son Beckham James. It took me saying the name out loud several times and see the little boy to fall in love with his name. They call him Becks for short and it is very cute!
OK, I love that name, but I'm having a hard time with taking any boy names that start with a B seriously because we want the middle name to be James and the initials would be BJ. Of course this makes my older kids giggle uncontrollably.
Girls name is locked down - Dolores June, we'll call her Dee. It's a combo of mine and my DH's maternal grandmothers. Both really special to us, neither still with us.
Boys name is hard!!! My husband leans toward a family name -- his name is John but he goes by Jay, so I would be ok with that since they wouldn't be called the same thing. So if we did that I would want to have my dad in the middle name he's Paul Ronald BUT I have an uncle John Ronald (not a blood uncle buy my g-pa and his dad both Ronald, coincidence) and my DH has a cousin (maybe 2nd cousin actually, not sure) John Paul... I think John Ronald is out because we're super close with that uncle and that would be weird to me but I'd be ok with John Paul because even though it's my DH's cousin in 11 years together I've never met him and my DH probably hasn't seen him in even longer than that (not close with his Dad's side). DH feels the opposite, that it's weird to 'name the baby after someone' we aren't close to. We're so disconnected from those people I really don't think anyone would even associate the two. I would really just prefer an original name and family middle name, but I feel bad -- my DH really doesn't ask for much in any aspect of our lives and I think this is something he really wants so I don't want to push back too hard. ughh this is really long and probably annoying, sorry, hopefully it's just a girl lol.
Its been 9 years worth of trying so we have huge list! I really like the name Zaha (after the famous architect Zaha Hadid). The name means Brilliance, i think. Anyway, i love the way the sounds roll off your tongue.
We have too many boy names on our list (it's a list that we had with DS and we've just added to it) but our front runner boy names are Jack William, Declan James, and Jensen Nathaniel.
Girl names are: Penelope Mae or Callie June.
We only do one middle name, but that's because we like to use family names for middle names and have a hard time even pairing one with the names we like.
I have so many names that I love but we can't seem to agree on very many.
So far, for girls, I have: Ashlynn, which is my favorite of all time Zaira (zzz-eye-duh) which he says no to Hadley Adaline or Adalynn Kayleigh, however, seems to be every little girls name right now
For boys (which is so much harder for us) Elijah, which he agreed on only because I let him choose the middle name of John. He knew someone named Elijah that he didn't like. Jase, which I like more than Elijah, but doesn't go with John. Aiden Grayson Kayden, which is also too popular for my taste right now.
What's funny is we've been set on the name Hunter for YEARS and now that we're pregnant we are second guessing ourselves. Here's a few of our favorites -
For girls we like Alice, violet, Erica and Gracie. Middle name will be Elizabeth since its a family name on my side. It's just a matter of narrowing it down. For boys I want to name him after DH, Zachary Edward or after his father who passed last year, Martin lee. It's been a very peaceful discussion thus far, but I'm only 5 weeks

Mohamed's daughter! Love him and her and the name and the namesake : )
It's so hard to figure out a name that will stick with then their whole lives!!
But right now: Girl- Audrey Anne Boy- my S/O has shot down EVERY idea I have had... Because he knows somebody with that name. He like Snyder... But.... No
We are less traditional but really excited about our names. And thankfully very much in agreement. Our parents are going to be pissed (not really but they def all prefer very traditional names) but we won't tell them until they are holding the baby and they can't freak out because they will be very in love.
Girl: Brekkan LeeAnn -- Lee is mother-in-law and DH's middle name and DH saw "brekkan" on a license plate and it stuck **other options: Brynlee, Brylee
Boy: Braidyn Michael -- Braidyn was a name we heard on our honeymoon that we both reacted to the same way, and Michael is DH's name **other options: Brycen, Breyson
Going with a "Br" theme lol. Started off being coincidental, but it works (:
Girls: Everely and we would call her Evie, her middle name would be Ann after my husbands grandmother. Boys: Griffin, middle name being Michael after my dad's middle name and his grandfathers first name
I am finding we have more possible girl names, because the two of us can not decide on a boys name that we both like. These two names are our top contenders so far.
Kimberly Francis or Camden Brooks.....we won't be changing they are meaningful names....Kimberly after a great friend I lost to BC Francis is my husbands grandfather and Camden Brooks after the Orioles....my husbands a big fan
We are finding it IMPOSSIBLE to come up with a boy's name! We only have two girls names- Norah Ann or Chloe Ann. Ann was DH's grandmothers name and they were very close.
For girl: Reagan Nicole or Grace Nicole (middle name is my first name) For boy: Darik William (named after my husband but spelled different and middle name after one of his grandfathers)
I love the name Nora. We have a Norah. It is more common than we expected though. After we had ours, we met so many other people that have Norahs around the same age. (Ours is 11mo.)
Really?! That's kind of a bummer to hear. Whatever we choose, I don't want it to be a name where they are 1 of 5 in a classroom with that name, you know?
2. My name is Ainsley! I love being unique, but I think it's such a sweet name for a little one!
1. HECK YES! But when I metioned it to DH he replied "Why don't we just name him BubbleBee Tuna?" So I may not be able to convince him. I also like Blu Finn A_. We are both all about Finn and that is likely what he will be called. One of the prequalifications for this baby's name is that it *cannot* be found in my baby naming book : ) Neither Finn nor Shark are in it and it contains 60,000+ names, ty
2. Ainsley: YAY! I love it and I bet you haven't met too many people that share your name have you? It is actually a family name, so are the other 2, actually. I went up my family tree and chose those 3 bc omg I love them together!
Finn and Ainsley are actually both becoming quite popular. And Shark? Yeah, I just can't with that one...
What do you all the if the name Eliza? It's from the name Elizabeth. We've got a couple Elizabeths in the family and I really like the name but I'd want it to be a little different.
What's funny is we've been set on the name Hunter for YEARS and now that we're pregnant we are second guessing ourselves. Here's a few of our favorites -
Boys: Hunter Michael, Cooper Erich
Girls: Audrey Elaine, Brooklyn Nicole
How does one ever decide?? :-)
I know what you mean! For over a decade, I was convinced if I ever had a girl, her name would be Brooklyn. I get pregnant and suddenly my decision switches to Juliet!
I also has a few long-term faves for boys, like Alexander and Zachary, and now I'm reallllly into James for the first time (which is a common name in my family that I didn't used to really like.)
