My husband's name is James we like Lydia for a girl but have not yet decided on either genders name. We think we're going to wait to see what we're having first.
omg DUH I have a short list (and a long list) but DH is not on board with me at all : (
My son's first middle and last name are all 1 syllable (3 total) so if we have another boy I would like to stick with that theme and name him either "Shark Finn A_" (nobody mentioned Shark yet, right? lmao) or "Wilde Finn A_" (Wilde after my favorite playwright ofc)
For a girl my DH is more agreeable since we already discussed and picked it out 5 years ago.
"Adalaide Ainsley Marigold A_" yes, 4 names but IDGAF ty
I love the name Charlotte as well but one of my younger cousins is already a Charlotte
Boys: B(r)entley Jacob, Brantley Jacob Girls: Kyler Ann, Kyleen Ann
The boys middle name is for my boyfriends brother that passed away before birth and the girls middle name is my mothers middle name that I really like.
We love Hudson Ryan for a boy currently although i'm famous for changing my mind! and we agree on no girls names but i love Amelia, and Eleanor, we have awful family names my grandmothers were Edna and Evangeline and his grandmother was Mildred so if we go family we will have to branch out.
We already have kolby, Hannah, and Quinnlyn Grace. Boy: either Carson Jonathan or Miles Jonathan Carson is dh grandma's maiden name. Jonathan is my brother who passed suddenly 8 weeks after Q was born.
Girl: unsure.....we like Elizabeth, Alivia, Cecilia
We have always had a long list of possible boy names: Byron Beau (DH's favorite) Wyatt Vaughn Crosby (my favorite) And have NEVER been able to agree on a girl's name. But now that we're actually pregnant, we can't agree on a boy's name, but have our girl's name locked in: Wren Marie
Love your list! Wren is on our short list for girl MNs.
I love the name Nora. We have a Norah. It is more common than we expected though. After we had ours, we met so many other people that have Norahs around the same age. (Ours is 11mo.)

Really?! That's kind of a bummer to hear. Whatever we choose, I don't want it to be a name where they are 1 of 5 in a classroom with that name, you know?
I know!! We tried to be unique too! My husband is a Brian and he said he didn't ever mind knowing other Brian's. It's not as common as a lot of names but we've probably met maybe 4 or so other Nora's. (Like age 3 and younger)
We're Team Green and my partner doesn't want to pick names before we meet him or her, but I got him to compromise into making a list of pre-approved names. Here's the list! I posted it on the Baby Names board, hoping for more suggestions... I want more of a variety, but nothing stood out to me! Unfortunately, a lot of the names we like were too similar sounding to our LO's cousins... Ella May, Griffin Bruce, Bennett Christopher, etc. The middle names have personal family meaning to us, so that is why they've been delegated to the middle name role.
Girls:
First Names: Evangeline Scarlett Margot Hazel Meredith
My husband likes Beckham if it's a boy.. I'm still not thinking about it yet.. As I'm just trying to adjust with all that is going on..
One of my friends recently named her son Beckham James. It took me saying the name out loud several times and see the little boy to fall in love with his name. They call him Becks for short and it is very cute!

1. Do you seriously want to name your child Shark Finn? I want to dislike it, but I'm kind of just like damn... That's bad ass!
2. My name is Ainsley! I love being unique, but I think it's such a sweet name for a little one!
@vvitchhazel, I LOVE hazel. But the husband hates it, so it was removed from our short list. @KateBee, yay for Wren! I've only met one Wren in my life, and I thought it was so cute and feminine. I've loved it ever since, and luckily the husband agrees with that one!
2. My name is Ainsley! I love being unique, but I think it's such a sweet name for a little one!
1. HECK YES! But when I metioned it to DH he replied "Why don't we just name him BubbleBee Tuna?" So I may not be able to convince him. I also like Blu Finn A_. We are both all about Finn and that is likely what he will be called. One of the prequalifications for this baby's name is that it *cannot* be found in my baby naming book : ) Neither Finn nor Shark are in it and it contains 60,000+ names, ty
2. Ainsley: YAY! I love it and I bet you haven't met too many people that share your name have you? It is actually a family name, so are the other 2, actually. I went up my family tree and chose those 3 bc omg I love them together!
Gunner William for a boy. And January Elizabeth is the front runner for a girl. We also like Emma, and Winter. I feel like girls are SO much harder to name, lol.
If it's a girl, I love Aria Joanne or Eliana Josephine. If it's a boy, thinking Colin, Ethan, or James... Not sure on a middle name yet. Girls names are so much easier to come up with!
For DD we threw around names for a long time... if she had been a boy she would have been Elliot James, but a girl's name was harder to settle on. We kept coming back to Eliza so we went with Eliza Michelle and it completely suits her!
Now we're feeling so much more pressure to come up with a complementing (but not matchy) name for #2. I still love Elliot for a boy but it seems too similar to Eliza now.
Others on the boy list: Cormac, Beau, Theo(dore), and Rhys, but we're not sold on any yet.
For a girl: Megan, Lorelei, Tessa, and Maeve. I think Maeve is DH'S favorite, and I like it a lot too (most days...)
We'll probably change our minds 100 times before go time... it's how we roll :-)
I used to watch this online show called The Young Turks, and the host legally named his son Prometheus Maximus.
DH last name has a very common German last name so I would like to stay out of the top 50 baby names. At the same time, I hate unique spellings because I have one and it has been such a burden to spell it out multiple times a day professionally.
Unfortunately, most of my favorite name choices are already taken in my husband's family! The middle name for a boy has to be Paul as it is my husband and father in laws middle name. For first name I like Noah, but not sure if the two go together? For a girl I like Ava.
Re: What names are on your short list?
But we can't come up with one single boy name that we like...
Boys: B(r)entley Jacob, Brantley Jacob
Girls: Kyler Ann, Kyleen Ann

Boys: Owen Scott Lawrence, Liam (no middle name yet)
Girls: Madilynne June, Avaleen Grace

Valerie for a girl.
Middle names are traditionally first names of passed away relatives.
But if it's a boy, it will be George. With either middle name of Alder, Oliver, Augustus, Elliot or Lendon.
Girls we agree on Cora, Alice, Clara, Eleanor, and Gemma.
Now we're feeling so much more pressure to come up with a complementing (but not matchy) name for #2. I still love Elliot for a boy but it seems too similar to Eliza now.
