Thanks @Talltrees82 ! I feel better, sorta. LO woke up, so DH just brought him in. Nursing while sick is the pits. But hopefully it'll keep LO from getting this again. I'd hate to end up in some sort of terrible vicious cycle where we just give it back to each other!

Nursing while sick is totally the worst. I've done it while just feeling like shit, while desperately trying not to hack up a lung and wake-up LOs and trying to keep a runny nose from dripping on them. Yuck Sorry you and LO have been sick
We went on a fairly spontaneous overnight trip to Niagara Falls for a big water park there on Saturday night. It was fun! Both kids had a blast in their own ways. But traveling with little kids is not particularly relaxing! Meal times at restaurants, missed naps, melt downs and tantrums. Oh well, still worth it. I think LO caught a bug from the water park cesspool though - diarrhea city around here.
And when did my almost one year old develop "behavioural issues"?! Such tantrums for everything! He may be worse than the 3 year old and he was always so laid back. Sigh.
Really? I am allowed to give DD whole milk now, but I want to do it on a day off when we aren't holding a birthday party or running around for Easter. I guess I want to be in control of the situation should anything go south. Tell me about whole milk poops
March siggy challenge: Dream job = Playing with wolves
BTW, we totally missed April's challenge for siggies. Anyone have a good idea for April challenge, or should we all just go back to having a signature of our choice?
I kind of like the one I have now

Sorry about the sick babies and any other stuff I haven't had a chance to comment on. I hope everyone is doing better and all had a nice easter!
I really wish we would get a troll or some other fun drama. Not that I don't enjoy reading all the regular stuff we talk about, it would just be nice to spice things up!
I feel like the worst mom in the world. Yesterday LO fell down the stairs (only 6 of them) but they are wood. She's just moving too fast and I couldn't get there in time. Then today I had to call poison control because she ate gel cling ons that go on windows (Easter decorative ones). Luckily no toxins in them but it will be interesting to see how they are worked out of her! She got so fast and into everything all of the sudden. I need to bubble wrap this kid!

Well, they're not really any messier, but they stink so bad. Like smell like dead animal stink. DH gags so bad when he has to change one . But I don't know...maybe it's just our LO!

Ooh! Thanks for the heads up. LO downed a bottle of whole milk today. We'll see what happens on the diaper and stink front!

We've been doing whole milk during meals for awhile now, and I haven't noticed a stink, but LO has been blocked up a few times since we started. Prune juice for the win!

Same here. She strains so bad she ends up crying. Hoping her system will adjust soon.

DH and I used to joke around that we only wanted kids so we could go to that water park! It's good to know your A14 baby had a blast, I was wondering how old my LO would have to be to get something out of it. I should look into booking a trip in the fall!
Now that DD is trying to walk she has become damn near suicidal! Throwing herself off the edge of things, falling and missing a table edge by a few millimeters... Yikes. I think for my sanity today I will be keeping her in the baby corral lol

@Talltrees82 - this time we went to the Fallsview water park, but in the past we've been to Great Wolf Lodge. They both have their pros and cons. However, we wouldn't have gone with this LO if not for his big sister. He had fun this time, but he could honestly have as much fun in the bath or a small city run water park this summer.
We took DD to GWL for the first time at about 18 months. She definitely enjoyed it and it was fun for us. She quasi "got it" then. She got it more at 2.5 and could do a lot more. At 18 months she couldn't go on any of the slides.
@yellowflower15 good to know! It's Great Wolf Lodge that we're interested in. We used to joke about borrowing somebody's kids so we didn't look like creepers! It looks like so much fun! At this point we would be going more for us than LO

Then totally do it! It is fun. It's not cheap though. Yikes.
Ya know the Darius Rucker song "It won't be like this for long"? I haven't heard it in forever and it came on my pandora station today. I ugly cried. Oh Darius, pullin at my heart strings...probably because the big birthday is comin up. If you haven't listened to it in a while, do it! But have some Kleenex handy!
That one is a good one. And the book "I'll love you for always". Stupid book. LO just up screaming for...I don't know why. This week feels so long with dh being gone.
Does the bump leave our babies stuck at 52 weeks forever? Yesterday marked week 53 for us. I find it odd that they stop the baby's age, but the pregnancy ticker never ends!!!
All of the sudden when LO woke up from one of her naps yesterday, she now looks like a little toddler to me. It's hitting me out of nowhere that our babies aren't babies anymore!! I already know I'm going to be a wreck next Friday on her birthday...
I've turned back into a lurker I am still here, and love seeing all of your posts. I just never have anything interesting to contribute, or others have already suggested anything I might add. Thanks for all o the great information and entertainment.
Sometimes I feel the need to post just to make something happen.
I actually posted a question directed to you on the "my life has fallen apart" thread. I have anxiously been awaiting your response, but then got concerned that I offended you. If we that is the case I sincerely apologize. It was honestly that I found your comment intriguing. People fascinate me.

Oh crap...I read that when life was being chaotic (business trip followed by DDs b-day followed by Easter) and wanted to give it the serious, well-thought out response it deserved, so I was going to come back to it at a better time. Sorry! I don't offend easily and your question was a good one so no worries. I will respond tomorrow

My parents arrived in town today. It's nice to have them here. They haven't seen LO since he was 5 months, so it's interesting to watch him interact with them and warm up to them. I'm also using them as babysitters! Hooray! I'm getting my hair done tomorrow and DH and I are going on a date this weekend! And I'm hoping to finally get some spring cleaning done while they watch the kiddos! (Pathetic that I'm excited about the cleaning)
I get excited about cleaning when I have the time to do it without DS around. It's just a pain in the ass to get bathrooms cleaned when I am also taking care of him. When I get 20 minutes "to myself," I usually clean one of our bathrooms, so lame. Lol.

Bathrooms are my favourite place to clean because they don't need to be decluttered first! I've been on a spring cleaning spree during naptime. I got a new shoe rack for the mudroom and deep cleaned all the dirt and salt out of there. I just want to hang out in my mudroom and enjoy the organization!

I wish I could get things done during nap time. I still hold him for naps. I need to work on this!

This is so me. Last week I had my parents watch LO just so I could clean my house. It made me so happy!
When you are all done then you guys can come over and clean my house! I hate cleaning, I do it, but I definitely don't like it... Actually my MIL is coming over briefly tomorrow to bring DD home. After work tonight I will have my own cleaning spree. Ugh
