@kyleneum13 19 DPO, ha! They must be out of their minds  :-O

Right? Maybe they just threw an extra "1" in there for humor ... because I'll be testing tomorrow on 9dpo.

  • @kyleneum13 I don't really get why it would be that late.  I guess maybe in case you have a longer luteal phase?  What are your thoughts on the accuracy of the cheapie tests this early?  I know they're just as accurate as any others when you're late, but I wasn't sure about how they compared to FRER before your test date.

That I don't know :/ You're 10dpo right? I'm not really sure. Are you on FF? You can actually look at positive tests - enter in the brand (just pick a dollar store one - or I think the walmart brand is on there too) and your DPO and see how many show up. That might give you an idea?
Good call.  I haven't used that feature of FF yet.  Time to do some recon! *-:)

  • @kmcconnell22 it only shows 128 dollar store brand positives at 10dpo and a lot of them are really really really faint :(
  • Hmmm, the results look about the same for 12dpo, maybe slightly better.  But to be fair, I just checked the First Responses, and they are all really faint too.

I guess it just comes down to whatever you're comfortable with then! If you're okay potentially getting a neg at this point then I'd go for it ... but if you want the best chance possible for that positive with no question one way or the other, I'd wait it out. Either way fx to you!!
  • @erica0901 and @kmcconnell22, I thought I'd chime in on this as well. This is my first cycle in FF and they don't have a cycle length for me either so they put me at 19dpo for my test date.  Yeah right.

FF told me 19DPO as well. Yeah right! I'm probably going to test every other day... Whatever, I do what I want :P
  • @kmcconnell22 neither did I! Gosh I have to check that out.. what a flipping brilliant idea @kyleneum13. I tested today at 11dpo.. will test on Saturday again at 13dpo. Fx @erica0901 thanks for the good baby vibes [-O<
  • Well now that other thread is swaying me back to the FRER.  So much for trying to be frugal.  $-)

Hahah yeah mine did, too. I doubt anybody listens to FF the first time around. I held out til 8 this cycle. Next cycle I'll shoot for 10. Baby steps! (No pun intended! Lol)

  • Welcome and fx for you@rmccola2..
Girls a bit tmi but I saw the teensiest brown spotting.. oh man. At 11 dpo im praying its IB.. [-O<
  • Was able to explain the whole palava to DH.. you know how they can sometimes be a bit disinterested :-\" but he listened so nicely! @DandT2point0 we love it when we have listening ears!! (As teachers! ) :))
  • Hi ladies! I'm CD6 and awaiting O with no real idea what to expect since last cycle only got dashed CH on FF and my LP was only 7 days. Really hoping either my O date was off or the short LP was just a still-adjusting-from-BCPs fluke.

FX to everyone about to POAS! Especially those heading to Walmart. Wally World is always kind of an ordeal around here.

  • @DandT2point0 keep us posted for tomorrow's POAS gal! Good vibes coming your way ;)
  • I'm on CD22 (of what should be a 28-day cycle). I don't know for sure when I O'd since I don't temp yet (if this cycle is a bust I'm going all out with TCOYF, temping, and OPKs), but my guess is that I'm 7DPO based upon what felt like O pain last Thursday. I'm trying to hold out until at least early next week! Fingers crossed for everyone!
  • Going to Walmart after work to get my tests.  Looking forward to hearing everyone's results tomorrow!

  • Can't wait to hear everyones' results who are POAS!!! Yay!!! FX everyone!!
  • I have given up on listening ears, @Carlaisy #Dunzo!
I ended up at Target to use the gift card we received as a wedding gift. So marriage related!! As I puzzled over the lack of FRER tests a kind woman informed me there were some on clearance on the end cap. Score!! Headed to Wal-Mart after Target for the cheapies.

Best wishes to all who are POAS in a few hours!!
  • Morning all! I am 12dpo today.. no symptoms at all except sore bbs...and temps are the same. 36.8. Holding thumbs for all the POAS results :)>-

So difficult for me to monitor whats happening regarding cm. I don't produce it properly, hence the iui procedure this cycle. So all the charting re temps is the only way I can really tell. Although today I noticed some light pink spotting. Because I produce little cm I often only see signs a day or two later... feeling as though AF may arrive. But temps remain the same 36.8 above cover line. I'm really hoping for the best. Too scared to test :-SS
  • CD 5 today and still heavy and painful AF. I'm so ready for AF to be over and the fertile window to come back around. I'm just feeling so frustrated and down today :/ anyone else on CD5 or similar?

FX for all the ladies testing today :)

I'm on 6! Best period I've had in years, exercise really does help.
  • How many dpo are you @Carlaisy ?

@kyleneum13 I fully agree. Exercising regularly through the week is a great help in mitigating my cramps, fatigue, and mood swings.

Thanks 27alex - I agree- it definitely helps ease cramps and elevate mood. I'm usually a very avid exerciser but unfortunately the first 3-4 days of my period are always so bad I can't bear to move much at all. Today is the first day I'll be at the gym this week so hopefully I'll feel a little more upbeat after that. Of course it's FRIDAY a too so I'm psyched about that- this has been a long week!

Any suggestions for what kind of exercise/activities are good for the really crampy days when exercise seems like torture? :)

Honestly?  If your DH is up for it - sex!  It really does help.  And it is a sort of exercise.  ;)

  • Hi @DandT2point0 I'm 12dpo... usually af starts 2 days before the time, but I am hopeful that it may be from iB. Usually my temps plummet from 12dpo. Ahhh this to and fro is so annoying ~X(
  • @DandT2point0 and @kmcconnell22 how are you ladies doing?

Ditto what @kmcconnell22 said. Sex helps, a ton!

I love the Les Mills classes. Body pump is always good and I feel like I'm more motivated than if I worked out alone, especially when id rather be home with my heating pad and some wine.

    Test!
  • So I went to Walmart after work yesterday, and they had Answer Early Result tests on clearance. I got two boxes of those and some cheapies for the same price as a 3 pack of FRER (score!).  Took a test this am with FMU and got another BFN. :(  I'm trying not to be too disappointed since tests at 11dpo are only about 50% accurate.  Most of the pics of this test at 11dpo on FF are REALLY faint.  I'll probably wait until tomorrow or Sunday to test again if AF doesn't show up first.

What about the rest of you POAS gals?  Results??

Les Mills Body pump is my favorite too- my gym offers a body pump class. I've been doing body pump a couple of times a week for a few months along with my usual cardio and free weight stuff and I've suddenly got all these new muscles from it which is pretty exciting! As for sex during AF I have never tried it- I'd be up for it but I'm afraid to even suggest it to DH he's very very squeamish :/

Have you done their combat class!? That's good too.

Lights off with a towel, or shower sex! DH used to be like that.
  • Morning, ladies. First time POAS for this cycle and it was negative. Expected since it's only 9dpo ... however, I had a huge upward temp spike this morning. I didn't do anything different temping this time except that I put a pillow over my head to muffle the sound. But, I've done that a few times in the last few weeks and didn't end up with a higher temp, so who knows. Can't consider it anything until it proves to be something but just glad temp didn't continue moving downward today.

As for the rest of my testing plan with my trip coming up on Monday, I'm going to test again tomorrow morning and if neg, I won't test again (hopefully) until I get back. As I said before, I don't really want to find out the day before I leave, mostly because I think my anxiety will be through the roof if I get a BFP and then have to get on a plan, leave the state, be alone for four days, blah blah. Not sure why, but feeling weird about it. The BFN wouldn't be too bad to receive the day before but the BFP, while exciting, would freak me out a little!
