Re: RTT 2.0

  • I hate when DD decides to take a poop right after I change her diaper. We need to coordinate this better kid! I guess I should be thankful it doesn't happen during the diaper change!

  • The worst is when they have a giant poop right after a bath
  • Anyone have issues with targe brand diapers leaking out the side? I'm trying to decide if I need to switch brands or if the leaking Is normal and I need to be more careful when I put her diaper on. Hmm...

Oh man, pooping during the change actually happened to me! I had to keep catching it on wipes so it didn't hit the pad lol

I do.  LO leaks out the left leg often.  I'm not sure if it's a matter of how i put on the diaper, the direction of pee-flow, or the diaper itself, but it drives me crazy.  Not crazy enough to buy more spendy diapers though. :)

It's been a while, but it's happened to me several times ;) poopy baby x2! Mine love to poo!

Hey anxiety sufferers out there that are willing to share. Do you have information/experience with inpatient vs outpatient vs just regularly scheduled therapy appointments?

I use them and I have to be rely careful to put them on right. If any part of it is folded in it leaks, but if I'm careful it doesn't

  • I was thinking about switching to luvs. I think they're about the same price. I'm just tired of the constant leaks out the side. I don't wanna have to keep constantly checking the sides of her diaper.
  • Luvs are great. I highly recommend them.
  • I'm sick of this frickin' cold weather.

It's only Monday and I am dreading the rest of my work week.

Ugh me too. I'm sick of being stuck inside. The days are loooooong.
  • So Saturday we found out LO has a double ear infection.  Dr. prescribed cefdinir.  Holy crap is that stuff potent.  LO had so many firey diarrheas today at daycare that his poor little bottom is totally scalded and puffy.  Diaper changes are HORRIBLE at the moment, as he is in real and excruciating pain.  Sigh... 8 more days of antibiotics...

Oh man! I hate when you have to keep changing an already painful bottom! Hope his system gets used to it soon

Sorry @smushi‌ ! LO had diarrhea a couple days ago and I know about the painful red butt! You just feel so bad for them! Hope your LO feels better soon!
  • Work rant. So we were audited Thursday and Friday. My boss decided to give two people those days off because he didn't trust what they would say. Fine. Except he didn't give everyone else two days off! If you're going to give two people the day off, you have to give everyone equal time off! And one of the girls was rubbing it in our faces. She knew we didn't have the time off, but asked us at lunch, so what's up with everyone getting Thursday and Friday off? I'm just annoyed and bitter at the whole thing.
  • @lilac02  So sorry :( That's rough.

Fashion Police is just not the same.  Although the caliber of Kathy Griffin's vocal quality is about the same.
  • @lilac02‌ , so basically they were rewarded for being bad employees...so uncool.

  • @BADASBKRCK‌ that's what our argument was!
  • @smushi‌ Hope your LO feels better soon. My little guy came down with his first real fever tonight and I was so worried. I can't imagine how I would be with a double ear infection and irritated butt!

And I totally agree Fashion Police is not the same. However, I am liking the guy that replaced George. He's pretty funny.

@lilac02 that's a dirty trick! And really unfair. It would have been interesting if someone had mentioned to the auditors about those employees getting time off.

It seems that poor employees often get rewarded. My mom's boss gave a glowing reference of a difficult employee just to get rid of them.

Oh man, you're telling me! It's -20c out there again today. I'm so sick of being housebound. I quit winter.
  • The tag on LO's sweater says "low iron". Who the hell has time to iron baby clothes? I don't iron my own clothes!

My iron stopped working about 6 months ago. I haven't even replaced it yet

Seriously! My LO has a natural Mohawk and people asking who "does" his hair. Who the heck has time or energy to "do" their 10 month old boy's hair?!!

I've thought this too. I think "Don't worry - it's not getting ruined from ironing."
  • Ugh. Rough night! LO decided it was party time from 12:00-2:30. And then DD decided it was party time from about 4:00am onwards. Both of them ended up in our bed. I bet they'll all be cranky today too. Our weekly trip to the museum should be a true joy - three tired, cranky people.
  • Sending all the coffee your way, @yellowflower15‌ !
  • I straight up refuse to iron.

^^^ This! I am on my second child and I only buy Luvs. They have worked great for both...very rarely ever any leaks! MY DS is potty trained for days now but we use pull ups at night and I ma bummed that Luvs doesn't make a pull up as we have multiple leaks with the huggies pull ups. I don't like using a regular diaper though because he cant pull it up/down when he does wake to go on his own.
  • @yellowflower15‌ --such a bummer! I can relate to those party times with LO, but with TWO LOs having party time on a single night...sheesh. All the coffee to you.
  • @smushi - you may have already tried all of these but tips I have learned for a soar diarrhea baby butt are:

Don't use regular wipes, they sting more. Try using just a wet rag.
Let the bum completely air dry then slather with ointment - I also put some ointment right on the diaper (this works especially if LO's bum is too soar for you to really touch to put ointment on).
Try letting LO soak in a warm oatmeal bath (I just put dry oatmeal in a sock and tie it shut.
Its really hard and can be gross but letting LO go without a diaper as much as possible as the air help the skin heal.

    Good luck! Poor LO!
  • The stories I hear on this board about multiple children only serve to clinch my decision of "One and Done" lol. The impractical part of me kind of wants another one, but the logical part is happy with our choice!

I hope I'm not scaring anyone away from 2 or more! I know that was already your plan, but I maybe I should tone down the multiple kids horror ;)
  • Is there some sort of a sleep regression at this age? I need some sort of explanation for this nap chaos!

I was just going to ask the same thing! Naps are horrible and we are waking at night again!
  • Thankfully nights have been glorious since sleep training, but naps are really all over the place! Sunday she barely slept for 30 minutes both naps, and yesterday her second nap was 2.5 hours!

  • Postpartum I had a HUGE hernia that was repaired in June. Just yesterday I started getting pain in that area when it was poked and it looks like I have another lump. ARGH! We are still paying for the C-section and the first Hernia surgery!
