So DD recently entered the stage where she cries when frustrated (which seems to be all the time), cries when I take something away from her and cries when I leave the room. Ugh.

Same here! Wonder weeks app said she would be upset when we put her down, but she throws full on tantrums for the smallest things!
MH has had to work late the past couple of nights due to the snow. When I am alone for the boys' bedtime I use the TV to keep the older one quiet and in the room with me while I get LO to sleep. We typically limit TV for him, especially at night. I hope this doesn't form a habit for us. Also, I DO limit TV, but I really don't know how people handle more than one kid without it. It is a much needed tool in my life.

Yep! I feel bad because I have started ignoring the angry cry...but I happened to look over when she did it today and her leg was trapped in a toy! Oops!
Oh, and I forgot to add that she now cries when I save her from impending doom as she tries to swan dive off of things. (Edited because I disliked my grammar)

Yes. LO does this too. I try to speak soothingly and just let him know that life doesn't always go the way we want it to and that he'll get over it...but I think all of that is more to soothe myself than it is to soothe him!
We just got home from the funeral, and walked in to find poop all over the kitchen and the dog's water bowl completely empty. Not sure when the neighbors were last here to check on him, but it certainly wasn't this morning like we thought it would be. Such a fun homecoming after a stressful weekend. Working hard to give them the benefit of the doubt...

Not cool at all! Hopefully the dog is alright and I sure hope you weren't paying the neighbors.

On the drive home, we had just been discussing giving them a gift card for an evening out... That may get downgraded to a loaf of homemade banana bread. thankfully, the dog seems to be doing just fine.

My LO too! She screams when we take the dog water away. She tries to beat us to it.!

I'd be so mad. I had our friend take care of our cats when we were away for 10 DAYS. We've done it done for her so many times and always gone above and beyond - like shovelling snow, going over in an ice storm to make sure everything is okay, etc. on the way to our house from the airport I get a text from her telling me she couldn't find the cat litter! WTF?! The cat litter hadn't been cleaned in 10 days! It's not rocket science - it's in the basement, a pretty logical place and also the place where her cat litter is! She had also taken care of our cats once before, so I guess she never changed it then either?
DH says he refuses to ever take care of her cats again... Could be awkward the next time she asks!
@yellowflower15 --terrible! I hope your kitty was ok! Our pup has definitely been extra needy this evening. I think they get at least as freaked out as we do when their care goes awry. It's tough. And potentially awkward with the neighbors...
LO has diarrhea for the first time in her life.... Anything I should/can do?
Good advice given here! My LO had it recently and the doctor said that as long as he was eating and drinking well, there's not much we can do about it. It could last 2-3 weeks (it lasted 10 days for my LO). The worst part was the diaper rash, I used cotton balls to make sure his bum was dry before putting on the barrier cream. Hope it goes away soon!
LO has been getting up an hour earlier for the past week. I don't know why. I try to let him fuss for a bit to see if he falls back asleep, but that only worked once. It's frustrating because no one in our house is up at 6am.
Now I'm wondering if I should have treated his wake up like a MOTN feed since he's being super cranky.
My baby girl is still sick. She had an ear infection two weeks ago. We finished the round of antibiotics this last Sunday. Tuesday through Thursday she had a fever so we took her back to the doctor. It ended up just being a virus. Now she's developed a rash on her head, neck, and torso. I'm hoping it's just a result of the virus and not an allergy to something.
Well she seems to be better. The rash lasted a couple days. We go in today for her 9 month checkup so I will ask her doctor what she thinks the rash was from.
Stay warm everyone-it was below 0 when I got up this morning!! All you in warmer temperatures, enjoy yourselves!!

That has been happening here too, 2 hours early every day this week. DH let me sleep in until 9 this morning.

That sounds like Roseola. DS had it last year - pretty much a virus that causes a high fever for a few days then as the fever breaks baby breaks out in a rash in the torso area (DD had it on the neck to). the rash can last just a few days to like 2 weeks, but is not really a big deal and they are supposedly no longer contagious once the fever breaks and rash appears.
DD has been teething and just cut her first tooth last week, working on another bottom one this week. She is normally such an easy sweet go with the flow baby and sleeps like a champ in her crib. This darn teething is making her cranky (like she is never cranky so I almost don't know what to do with her) and she is waking at night fussing. I have brought her in our room an let her sleep in the rock and play twice already this week (she is on the small side so she still fits). I am TIRED, I have been spoiled with her sleeping so good the past few months.

Liam has been waking up early the past week or so, too! I am afraid that 5:30 might become his new wake up time...
~ Leah, Rachel and Gabriel were born on May 27, 2013 (23 weeks) ~
My LO has been waking earlier than usual the past few weeks. It looks like she's made it her new normal. Waiting to see what happens when all this teething is over.

The teething is never over! Haha. No, it ends eventually but there's a reason for the term 2 year molars...
If these babies keep getting up early, we may be able to use the spring ahead to our advantage to get them back on track!
Super good point! LO is an early riser too. Usually close to 6, but if I can get him to sleep until 7, I'm elated! No nap for him this afternoon, which is super disappointing because all I wanted to do was put my feet up for a few minutes after the crazy weekend/week this has been. Of course, a little dozing while nursing was all he wanted to do. He'd better make it up to me by sleeping through the night tonight!

I would be ELATED if LO slept until 6! She is a 4:30-5:30 waker!!! Not too terrible on weekdays since we are up at 5 but weekends is the same time and it's miserable!!! The worst part is she wants to go back to bed an hour to an hour and a half after she gets up, conveniently just as soon as I'm wide awake...

You got it right! That's what the doctor said it probably was. Good job!! She is feeling better too. Thanks!
Had the longest night of hell last night! 3 year old DS came down with a nasty stomach bug and we sent the night cleaning him and his bed up twice then DH camped in the living room with him. I washing all the nasty blankest and pjs and sanitizing. DD is teething and I think maybe starting to come down with something (runny nose and eyes and just miserable). She is usually so easy even when not feeling well....not last night. Oh man she just screamed and cried all night - nothing made her happy. She finally gave in and fell a sleep around 5 am. until 8 am. So we got about 3 hours of sleep.
I came int to work 2 hours late so that I could at least get those 3 hours of sleep and DH stayed home with the kids. I felt so bad leaving as DS was all pitiful laying on the couch and DD screaming her head off. And now DH just texted me that DD has started throwing up too! Ugh man - stomach bugs are the worst! Baahhh - I might cry!
Oh god... @LolaX2, that sounds absolutely miserable! I hope DS and DD get better and I really really hope you don't get it too! We wound up with a nasty GI bug after christimas that was absolutely awful, both ends at the same time for 24 hours. Everyone on both sides of the family got it because someone was a carrier at Christmas. For the first time since DD was born I actually had to call my MIL to take the baby because DH and I straight up couldn't take care of her!
