Glad I'm not the only one!! I'm just overly sad - it's the end of an era (friends fans?)
My plan is to cut pumping from twice at work to once at work next week and maybe stop after that. Hopefully that will help my body adjust so I don't get uncomfortable or engorged!
We signed the paperwork on a new house today and sold our house on 2/14. The level of stress it have right now is driving me to drink half a bottle of wine tonight!
Oh man...why stop at 1/2 a bottle? You deserve a little mommy break before you start losing your mind!

Omg. If I have more than two glasses I'll be so hungover! I remember when I used to be cool enough for a whole bottle. Sigh.

I quit cold turkey and it was awful. I don't recommend it. But I was an exclusive pumper and I just couldn't handle pumping anymore. I quit on a bad day and I still regret it (
Anyone feel their dog is more needy than LO? He will bark and bark and bark for his bone because he can't remember where he put it and he thinks I do! Meanwhile I have a screaming LO that I'm trying to comfort while the dog is being all barky.
On a happy note, last night DD slept with her head on my chest! She hasn't done that since she was itty bitty! Made me want another one!
I'm so bored (read: I don't want to clean the kitchen, wash clothes, or make more baby food) that I'm reading through some of the other boards. The stupidity on TTC always makes me want to claw my eyes out, much more now because there are too few snappy women to chime in with no nonsense responses. I just spent 5 minutes lurking on Sept15, and all I can think is 1) those poor girls need to learn how to QFP, and 2) I want to give them ALL THE KNOWLEDGE. Ya know. Because having had one baby makes me an expert in the matter.
Went to kohls today, they have lots of baby clothes on clearance right now! Anywho...searching through the racks and seeing the newborn, 3 month, 6 month made me want another just a little bit.

Aaaaaaaaaaah. Dishes, wash yourselves!
I agree that the lack of snappy comments makes it less fun to read. I would normally scroll down to see which posts had the most comments because I knew, the ones with the most would be good...alas, there are only a handful over 10 each. And no one to yell "no stupid B, we can't tell if you're KTFU. Go take a test." Le sigh.

The snark was one of the main things I loved about the old Bump. Miss you, old Bump!

My dog seems needier once LO came along, but she was needy before and I think it seems she's needier because my focus is on LO most of the time. When people come over she is all over our visitors like no one in our house pets her ever!
I can volunteer to be the bitch of the group if you all want...? I will light you all on fire.
Do it! I nominate you. Light 'em up up up!
I will start with you. Have a Life much? Shouldn't you be more concerned about your baby instead of getting kicks on here when people are nasty to each other? Grow up and get a life!
Too mean? Not snarky enough? Where am I at people?
...and I am not sure if this is the job for me, I feel bad and am worried twohunts won't be my friend anymore.
Soooo tired! I can't wait for DD's nap so I can nap too. It's going to get up to 26 degrees today which is damn near tropical, so I get to shovel and see if we can find the wood of our porch again.
March siggy challenge: Dream job = Playing with wolves
We took LO to his swimming class today. DH helped get him ready and then back into his clothes after the class. LO peed all over DH and he had to take his shirt off and wear a zip up hoodie without anything underneath I have been peed and puked on as much as any parent, but somehow DH wins the prize for getting baby fluids all over him in public... It's not the first time he's gone home without a shirt Mind you, I just leave the shirt on for the rest of the day usually, so maybe I just don't make as much of a mental note of the public peeing
Just got home from funeral part 2 and am so relieved to be tucked away in our quiet little home again. Missed ya'll. poor cell connection out on the farm.
Hey anxiety sufferers out there that are willing to share. Do you have information/experience with inpatient vs outpatient vs just regularly scheduled therapy appointments?
We still use the infant car seat carrier (she's little and it's easier in the winter). When we go into restaurants, we ask for a high chair. Every time, without fail, the host will always ask do you want a sling or high chair. And not just once! I think we know what we need.
I made what was probably my last real batch of baby food puree today. It was amazing. Nothing makes me feel more accomplished than a freezer of baby food.
@smushi do you have any good suggestions for foods you make?
My DD is such a good eater but I've noticed she doesn't love store bought baby food anymore probably because of the lack of seasonings. We usually have her eat what we're eating (cut up small - we aren't doing BLW) but sometimes my husband and I have something she can't eat so I'll end up giving her jarred baby food and she pushes it away these days.
Apple, Pear, Blueberry (3 apples, 1 pear, a small package of blueberries, chopped and simmered til tender then pureed)
Broccoli, Pear, Peas (2 heads of broccoli steamed, half a can of peas, and 1 pear - chopped and simmered with the other fruits; pureed)
Carrot, Acorn Squash, Apple (Bag of baby carrots steamed - with broccoli, acorn squash halved and microwaved in a covered pyrex for 7 minutes, and 1ish apple from the simmered fruit; all pureed)
It filled about 16 four oz containers plus. I didn't add any spices, but I've read that there are some good ones to add like cinnamon. I've also done some chicken ones in the blender too. Just no cooked chicken on hand today.
You make me feel like the lazy bastard that I am @smushi .
If you saw my house, you'd realize I am indeed a lazy bastard too. I just pick my spurts of effort.
It's more of an, I've bought 3 different sets of pears with the intention to cook, and they've all gone bad, so I decided I better get my ass in gear and do it.
I'm about 50/50 bought/homemade baby food. I like the meat dinners in the pouches (the jars seem greasy). I like Sprout and Ella's the most. But LO is also eating finger foods: black beans, peas, steamed veggies, strawberries, puffs, scrambled eggs, bananas, avocados, etc (mostly at daycare). They gave him cheerios and graham crackers last week but his excema got worse so I'm attributing it to those.
Someone (can't remember who) was commenting about missing MIL drama. Well, my MIL has always made little snide comments here and there. In an effort to be a good DIL, I usually just let them slide. Like she commented on having a dirty house even though I cleaned for three hours before she got there. At our wedding she actually asked for the money they had given us back!
Anyways to keep a long story short, I decided that I'm not going to let it slide anymore because nothing will ever change otherwise. So she was visiting last weekend and made a comment about how we need to watch our dog around LO (he's super sweet just hyper). I responded I think we can take care of our dogs. (Nobody better be dissin on my dogs!). Well apparently now she thinks I hate her because I made a snide comment! Seriously, she's made about a million since I've known her. I make one, and apparently I hate her.

It was me! Thanks for the entertainment I have soooo many inlaw stories I can share. I'll crack open the vault some time
Good for you for putting her in her place. Maybe she'll watch herself next time. I don't react well to any interfering... My own parents included. I also leave the handling of the inlaws to my spouse, but sometimes I wonder if I should step in somehow. Mostly I just prefer to avoid them entirely.
I love my in-laws, including all the siblings. But if one of them was making snide comments about my house or dog or kid, I hope I'd be able to comment back. So good for you @lilac02!
Home sick from work today as my little loves shared thier plague. DD is napping and DS is getting entirly too much screentime playing games on my tablet but hey gotta do what a gotta do to get through the day. I love my kids more than anything but man I miss sick days meaning I just lay around by meself and not taking care of babies too.
@LolaX2 - sorry to hear you caught the plague. They're educational apps, right? do what you gotta do. And I hear you about the good old days when being sick meant you got to rest!
Wait - if you normally work, what's your childcare arrangement? Can't you still send them wherever they go?
Yellowflower15 DS is still sick too so I can't send him anyway. DD is mostly better but she is pretty easy so no point in getting evrything together for just her to go to daycare.
I got a message from a group of high school friends who are starting to plan a 20th reunion. WTF?! How is it possible that I'm old enough for a 20th reunion?! What happened?

I have two more years before I face this. I'm not looking forward to it.

I did not watch the Oscars. I don't watch a lot of movies and don't know who a lot of people are. I watched the Property Brothers instead!
