Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: he alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection (Psalm 91:1-4
Well, I didn't post this to be deliberately mocked and made fun of. I'm talking region ..and I got very inappropriate comments? Really. You girls are like the mean girls. But moms at the same time?

In all seriousness, what did you expect?
It's literally impossible to get pregnant by prayer.
You weren't "talking religion", you just posted a bible verse and asked for an Amen. I'm sure if you would like to talk about religion, there are plenty of people here who would engage in a discussion.
While the rest of us talk about how babies are ACTUALLY made...
Since I started praying, I've gotten off all of my heart medication, I've had less anxiety and fears, I've been a more positive person in general, I have more energy to give to others in need, patience for my children, my mom survived breast cancer, I've gotten pregnant after a year and a half of trying and a loss... and honestly on top of all that it's a amazingly wonderful feeling to have faith in something bigger than this world. I'm the happiest and healthiest I've been all my life. I thank God everyday. Just sayin, I'm not a pusher but don't knock it till you try it

Sorry, I'm sticking with sex, doctors, and science. That mass in my uterus wasn't going away any other way... But hey, thanks for making me feel like I couldn't get pregnant for 2.5 years because I didn't pray. It must feel awesome to be so self-righteous.
Wow. I am devastated at the morality and maturity of some of you. My faith is very important to me something I did not put out there to share in a post to get such disturbing, mocking responses. I'm a Christian and I pray? So what? If that was motivation for y'all to write such inappropriate things then god help you, you are exactly what is wrong in this world. No faith, cynical, cold, unreasonable, unforgiving, spiteful.. The list goes on. .. Maybe this is not the ap for me. I'm looking for HAPPY, open, mature and kind women to share this experience with. This is absolutely crazy.
OP - you have to understand that religion is a private and personal thing. Good for you for finding faith in something, but it's not a lifestyle that everyone is in to.
And if you're such a Godly person, then you shouldn't judge those of us who aren't religious.
Thank you Charlie, we just have different beliefs which is fine, I used to feel the same way until a certain event happened in my life. Now I believe their is a higher power that created allll this science etc To each their own!
Besides the fact that I have literally been getting "bullied" on my own post, regarding my own belief... By grown women? Now I'm judging apparently. Lol oh boy. Ok. Goodnight ladies.
Sorry for thinking there may be a couple Christians on here that wanted to connect on pregnancy related struggles. Didn't meant to offend anyone's scientific beliefs.
Just imagine for a sec if you had prayed, and prayed, and prayed, and prayed to get pregnant and your prayers were never answered. Or if you prayed and prayed that you wouldn't miscarry again, and you did anyway. This happens to women all the time. Was God ignoring or punishing them? Were they not #blessed? OR is it just shitty luck of the biological draw?
OP, this is the Internet. Whether you agree or not, what you posted is controversial. You're going to get it handed to you.
Saying you "got a BFP" by prayer is like saying to all other Christian ladies out there whose prayers "are not answered" that they what? Didn't pray enough? Were not worth it?
Connecting with people sharing your beliefs = awesome
Not even understanding the basics of science = stupid
OP you have to realize that praying isn't the only step to receive your blessings. Prayer, along with sex COULD lead you to get pregnant.
You cannot judge others for having different beliefs. It actually saddens me that you don't understand how wrong you are. It's like me praying to lose weight but not getting my fat ass up to go work out.
Are you serious right now!? It is so disrespectful to be commenting on a post mocking a religion! If there was a Muslim or Jew or catholic on here asking for support from fellow believers I would NEVER comment talking about MY god or mocking their god in general. Ever. That's called.. Starting shit. No rhyme or reason for it, just because? You disagree? I was raised to never ever bash someone's personal belief, talk religion, politics or race. Kinda like if you don't have anything nice don't say anything at all? Ya. This goes way back.
I live in NY and been in the city for quite sometime now, I've became cultured, hard but patient and anything but ignorant. Having moral, class and respect for others is just part of life for me. I apologize for offending anyone in any way shape or form by this post!? Not sure how that was possible or why all these comments were necessary but it is what it is. Any Christian would understand why sometimes things don't work out and how god has other plans. This post was meant for people that understand what it's like having a relationship with god. Not people who just think by praying your problems will be solved. Trust often requires unanswered questions. It's so much deeper than this all but I'm not going into it all. I'll delete the post. Have a goodnight!

Hey, practicing Catholic here. Was that your Bible you quoted? Cause it's the same as mine. Probably the same God I pray to also.
And deleting a post is considered poor etiquette.
ETA: In all seriousness, there must exist a more appropriate forum somewhere for those who want to talk Christianity and pregnancy. Maybe that's a better place for posts like this. The Internet might be the right church, but The Bump may be the wrong pew, KWIM?
I have nothing against Catholics!!!! I was just using the different religions as a example oh my word you people are so nasty!!!! I keeping coming back because I'm in such disbelief. Never in all my life have I met such crazies who get off on arguing.
Please people find peace in your lives,.. Maybe an activity y'all must be very bored or something.
Are you serious right now!? It is so disrespectful to be commenting on a post mocking a religion!
Who mocked your religion? Please cite examples. You posted about getting pregnant via prayer, and people gave their opinions on what they believe caused their own pregnancies. Welcome to the internet, princess.
OP, I don't know where to start. I am a Christian.
However, you need to realize that not everyone believes the same way. And that is okay too. Nobody here mocked your beliefs. They stated their own. You can't get pissed because people don't agree with you - that's ridiculous.
Also, I don't think its fair to say that you got pregnant because of prayer. Sure, if faith is important to you, then you may believe God allowed you to get pregnant because you prayed to Him and had faith. I believe my babies are a gift from God, truly. But I had unprotected sex with my husband, and that's how I got pregnant. You are implying that people who are not able to get pregnant or have losses did not pray enough. Please get off of your high horse. You do not deserve a baby more than anyone else.
Lastly, you "can't believe some of these women are mothers" ...I know, and am friends with several women who are not Christians who are kind, loving, giving, wonderful mothers. You do not have to be a Christian to be a great mother. Please don't imply that.
OP, you are being ridiculous. You posted a bible verse & asked who else got pregnant through prayer. No one mocked your beliefs, no one even said that prayer didn't help you!
I'm glad you found God & it has brought happiness in your life, but when asking people to respect your views, you need to respect theirs.
I prayed HARD during my miscarriage in November for a miracle & it didn't come. I believe there's a reason for it, it still sucked. I prayed to get pregnant again, I also temped & had sex during my fertile window. It worked, wonderful. I'll continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy, while also seeing my dr & doing what I can to hopefully not have another loss.
I did not get pregnant by prayer, maybe it helped, who knows. I got pregnant because sperm fertilized my egg & it implanted in my uterus. That's how pregnancy works.
I think it's time to add to the "read this first" sticky that religion and politics (just like everywhere else in public) should not become a topic. And if it does, that you need to be prepared for mixed opinions that you may not like or agree with. @CharlieFox30
Re: Anyone else get a BFP by prayer!?
/ded
BFP #1: 10-25-11, MC: 11-1-11 @ 5w5d
BFP#2: 12-29-11, DS born September 2012
TFAS: July 2014, BFP#3: 12-29-14, EDD 9-9-15
Yup, that's how it went for me. Verbatim.
