@edoliesmom Lovetitting in solidarity. My formerly great sleeper has not been a good sleeper since she got sick a few weeks ago, then we moved her nursery, Oy!
Help @ashleypixie and other ladies who know hair. I'm sick of the ponytail. It is not professional for work, but my hair is thick and not cute wavy and I have fuzzies growing back in where I had bald spots post baby. I usually have to dry then straighten and no one has time for that these days. Any recommendations for cuts or easy/quick styles?

I just saw this the other day. Obviously some of these are neither quick or easy, but there are a lot of ways to make a ponytail or messy bun look cool by just tweaking the way you do your hair already. I do the half up half down thing a lot, or just twist the front like #10. I did that when I was growing out my bangs, I never had to actually blow dry, curl, or straighten. You'd be surprised at how two bobby pins and just twisting a strand of hair makes it look like you put in way more effort than you did.
Diarrhea... when do I need to be concerned? He is perfectly happy, just... a ridiculous shitshow over here.
I don't know, but I hope someone responds. I'm not even sure if it is diarrhea, but we went from 2 poops/week to 2 each day and they are HUGE. But she seems fine otherwise so I don't know if I'm worrying for nothing.
I just went through this a couple weeks ago. I think the main thing is to be aware for signs of dehydration: skin not elastic, mouth is dry, no tears when crying, not peeing much, etc., and to call the Dr if you notice any of this.
My LO didn't experience dehydration, but she did get wicked diaper rash from the unending torrential poops.
Hey ladies. Been trying to get over a terrible cold and DS is really fussy today because he is teething I think.
My dad texted me on Friday asking to come over Saturday or Monday. He said he would let me know. He finally texted me back today 3 1/2 hrs before he wants to come over asking if it's okay. I want to say no because he can't be considerate enough to give me more time or let me know what day he chose. Plus I feel like hell and DS is screaming. I feel bad saying no. Ugh! He's doing this to get back at me for trying to get out of the trip.
I'm sorry for everyone dealing with babies who just want to party at night! DS has gotten into this lately too. The only thing that works for is going in and making sure he is fed and fine, but then just kissing him goodnight and leaving the room. He will sometimes get worked up and throw a little fit but his will eventually breaks. I know not everyone is comfortable doing that though. We do have a video monitor so I can check on him to make sure he didn't bonk his head or get his foot stuck. But us going in there and trying to fix it over and over just perpetuates the problem.

I want to punch my husband. This morning when Edolie woke up, he was saying, "Ugh, tomorrow's going to suck," and getting all frustrated. He was never able to comfort/calm her because he was being too impatient. He was saying how he really needed to go to sleep, and I told him I did too. He was like, "I have to be on my feet all day tomorrow. At least you have the opportunity to nap when she does." So I told him it's not that simple!
Edolie usually takes a 1.5 hour nap first thing, but she just took about a 35-minute nap. I took my husband's stupid advice, and I didn't sleep at all. X( (

I need some advice for a friend. Her son is 3 weeks old and she's exclusively pumping, she has a clogged milk duct that's causing a fever. I've never had one, and she's asking me what she can do to help get rid of the clog.

Massage, heat, if she has a manual pump @mamrotu73 has suggested going in the shower and holding the suction as long as possible.

I remember reading here to stand over the baby and nurse with the baby's chin over the clog howver since she's EP , I d say lots of pumping and massage in shower. When I got them from EP sometimes massaging wiht the actual shower head helped.

Heat and massage. My husband was a huge part of why BFing worked for me, because when I was painfully engorged and clogged, he would massage my breast while I nursed or pumped - he could use both hands, and has bigger/stronger hands than I do. It was a huge relief for me, don't know if that could help her.
I had to delete photos from my phone today to make more room... Looking at pictures makes me need 100 more kids. Waking up at 2am makes me want no more...
I'm glad my LO wants to share, but this sharing every single illness he gets with me is getting old, and he's only 7 months!!
I think this must be paybacks for all the times we got my mom sick as kids... At least it's only been one cold, but I think I'd take the colds over the fever inducing viruses he keeps handing off.
@MaiTaiBeth I have 2 pair of keen boots that I really like. One is a mountain stylish heavy duty snow boot lined with comfy faux fur. I had sorrels before and they fit much looser. My other keens are a flat black waterproof boot. Now that I know how much I love the keens I won't get sorrels again.
My current form of exercise is chasing A away from places she doesn't need to be. Like in a toy box, or cardboard box, or in the bathroom.
I thought cardboard boxes were acceptable baby playthings. While I want all our current boxes gone, I'm kindof excited that A will be at prime box-fort-with-tunnels building age for our next move!
She was trying to get in a cardboard box that was too.small for her. I didn't want her stuck is all.
I haven't started shopping for my buddy. I don't know what direction I want to go in. I want to get a nice ornament and onesie, but have no good ideas yet.
Omg those meatballs sound stupid good. I'd do some kind of avocado-y thing. Maybe blend avo, olive oil, jalapeno, lime juice, cilantro and garlic? Something along those lines?
I locked myself out today, which hasn't happened in forever. I decided to make lemonade from lemons and take LO to the park while we waited for the landlord to let us in. This lady, I can't handle her little face sometimes.
I just gave Quinn an oatmeal bath, put him in an adorable cream sleeper I bought him today...brushed his hair and sang him to sleep while I fed him, which hasn't happened in a couple months.
He smelled so good and looked like an angel. I burst into tears the second I closed his door...how am I going to leave him for a week?! Ahhh I'm actually really regretting this trip now. ( I feel so dumb.
Sigh. Hope everyone's Monday was okay-good luck @cnbean!
Love tit because you're such a good mommy. You're going to be fine. I think all parties can use this trip. You and your husband can use the alone time and grandma and Quinn sure can use some grandparent spoiling baby time.
@LuckySquare PF fell asleep to Go the fuck to sleep! DH thought it was hilarious!
This is probably the first (and last) time that a child has fallen asleep to that book. DH and I found a recording of Levar Burton reading it out loud to a bunch of adults and cracked up!

My windshield sprouted a 3-ft-long crack today driving around in some snow. So sad. :-( I heard it crackle and watched it spread, and there was nothing I could do!

Just went in to check on Aislyn and she had managed to pull her quilt off the chest that is at the foot of her crib and tuck herself in with it. I am completely baffled as to how this happened. And if my phone would let me post pictures I would show you all. Now to remove the blanket and risk waking her or leave it be. That is the question.

I miss being pregnant some days too, and then my son won't sleep and the feelings goes away.
The surgery is fairly easy and recovery takes a few days, life has been 20x better than it was before
shiiit..I haven't started looking yet. :-/
Good luck @cnbean! Prayers for a quick recovery.
