Something happened and I had to sign in again. And then I got lost in all the boards!! I literally never left this one once I found it. I was on 1st tri and then S14. I was so scared. It's like the jungles of Vietnam out there! *sobs*
DS won't go to bed b/c he "can't see." Well, then, you shouldn't have broken your night light. DD is having tummy issues tonight and DH won't help me with any of the chores whatsoever. I haven't done them today b/c every time I try to start them, LO starts crying and needs me. I tried to lay down, but five minutes into that, she started screaming. I'm so tired that I feel like I'm going to fall over every time I get up. Here we go again....
@lil_diamond_eyes I'm so bad about that. LO will be asleep so I start doing other things and then when I finally make it to bed she's up not even an hour later. DH gives me so much crap about it.
It's a total pita how hard or is some nights to get her latched nursed burped and back to sleep. Can babies forget how to nurse? Because I think mine has..
I got ambushed by a toddler and the baby. One woke up and came into my room needing to use the bathroom, she doesn't typically need to go in motn, so she needed help in her sleepy state and baby had just pooped so he needed changed. Dh rolled over at exactly the wrong moment (for him) and I said dd2 needs help in the bathroom! And he heard me and got up! Now just trying to get the tiny babe back to sleep.
I don't know what LO did but my left nipple is killing me.. Every time she latches it burns like fire, I have yet to experience this much pain BFing... DH was just staring at me lost during our 2am feeding because she was nursing and I was crying. I stuck a soothie on and that seems to be helping.. there is a bruise next to my nipple, I'm guessing that's the culprit.
Anyone else feel like the nursery is a huge time warp? When I come back to bed and check the clock and I'm surprised it's been 2 hours. Not that "time flies when I'm having fun"... I'm just getting used to feeding her forever and just sitting there while she loses her shit trying to stay awake. Then sitting there for a while making her she's really asleep this time.

I agree! Any time I'm doing anything with DS I'm always shocked at how much time went by.

Yes absolutely!! My feeding area is the den but yes, definitely yes! I'm not taking any chances that LOs eyes pop open as I lay her down. Sometimes I even give her a little jiggle before I start moving to see how "wake-able" she is.
So, the other day, I had commented to someone saying most babies only eat until they're full, unless they have reflux or are bottle fed. Well, now I'm wondering if LO has silent reflux, or if he is one of those few glutton babies (lol). I say this because, DS doesn't really spit up, except a couple of times, but when he does, it's a freaking never ending fountain of spit up. He also isn't really fussy, so that's why I'm leaning more toward him being an over-eater, rather than having reflux. The thing that sucks, is I'm BF, so I can't really see how much he has had, so I guess I have to go by how big his belly looks. FTR, when he's completely full, his belly looks bloated, and when he's hungry, his belly is super skinny.

I've gotten a handful of BM showers and it's usually when my boobs are really full and she gets too much too fast. One time it was because my DH offered too many oz than her belly could handle from a bottle. I guess she doesn't know when to say no...it's just too yummy! Haha

I have a glutton too. Started 5 days ago. Lol She doesn't cry, just milk pours out when I sit her up, or even a while later. I've been cutting her off at 15-20 mins. We hang out and if she's still fussy 10 mins later I feed her more. Usually she's fine. It's a leap week so I think it's a comfort thing. So I hold her, sing, rock, etc.
I could cry.. Why is this every single night? Why can't she just go the hell to sleep already? Why does it always have to be a fight to get her down? And why at freaking 4?

My LO does the same thing. Last night I had been sleeping four about twenty minutes when DH brought her to me to feed again. I started crying, I was so tired, and I told him to make her a bottle. He comforted me, encouraged me, and tried to take her for awhile after, but her gas was too much. She finally went down at six. I got four hours after that. At least I got that much. Hopefully I can get this gas under control this week, or at least make it manageable. I have to go back to work on Monday, and I have to be leaving at 640.
Uhhhhhhhh.... Someone kill me. LO is the least of my worries. If DH doesn't stop snoring I think my heart is just going to stop beating to keep me from killing him. And I'm in the freaking den!! Not even the same room as him!! Dear God.

I'm not back to work yet (thank god..) But I wasn't at home. I was visiting my parents down south. I think that night have made the whole thing worse for me because I seriously didn't want to wake them up. She didn't let me sleep until close to six after waking me up at 2:30, and then my toddler woke me up an hour later..
The growth spurt may finally be over. Thank you little guy for that 5 hours you slept, then ate and went right back to sleep. Give me another 5 hours because I am use to 2 hours now so I can't go back to sleep. Oh an thanks for letting me put you back in your bed. That's amazing since your sister has already appeared next to me. :-q
We spent the first half of our night in the crib and I'm so proud.. probably would have spent the second half in there too except I fell asleep in the recliner nursing... oops..
I hate when she gets gas linlikee this.. I always wonder what I ate that's causing her issue...
I discovered something with LO and her gas last night.
LO was always having trouble even with a nightly bottle that so many have suggested to me, so I had a thought the other night to switch the bottle. so when we were at Walmart last night we bought a Playtex ventaire bottle. I pumped when we got home and gave it to her. Not one gassy episode last night. I even got two three hour stretches out of her. It was a huge improvement. I will now be buying more of those bottles. :-)
The funny thing is that DH didn't believe me that at least part of the problem could be the bottle that we were using. I kept telling him, but he didn't believe me. I thought it was because she wasn't latching the nipple on the bottle correctly. The bottle we bought has a nipple more like the breast, so I think that helped. Anyway, he finally saw what I was talking about and HE ADMITTED THAT HE WAS WRONG. That's a first, lol.
Sorry for the rambling. Check it out. Hopefully it will keep working and I'll eventually get a six hour stretch. :-)
Freaking 11pm and damn dh fell asleep on the couch over 2 hours ago with the baby. While he was sleeping, dd2 took a bath, I made 3 loaves of chocolate chip banana bread, cleaned the kitchen and did yet another load of dishes plus took the trash out. But when the little boy wakes up and wants to have a midnight meal and party, guess who will be up with him? Not dh, that's for damn sure.
Oh and tonight was ds1's first wrestling meet. It was against a small school and because of his size and skill level, he ended up wrestling another team mate but he did really well. With all of his difficulties due to his asd, I am beyond proud and wasn't sure he would be able to participate on something like wrestling but he loves it and that makes me happy for both of us!
Edited to add that it's been nearly 4 hours and dh is still asleep with lo. Haha, jokes on you. I told you that you would get to stay up with him when you briefly woke up and said you don't know why laying down with him makes you immediately fall asleep. Enjoy work tomorrow.
@amom2four how awesome for your DS1!! I'm so happy for y'all!! My kiddo has some trouble with her legs, so I know how...(I can't even think of the right word. It's not scared, or sad, it's like I'm anxious for her, I guess.) So I know what a beautiful moment it is to see them have a moment that they may not have had.
I think I've decided that this second leap is worse than the six weeks growth spurt. During the spurt she at least got some sleep during the day and we both got enough at night too. Last night she slept from 2ish am to 10am with two wake ups to nurse, then she would not nap more than 15 minutes twice. How she's still not sleeping at 1am is beyond me. If she won't go down for the night soon, I'm gonna friggin break down from exhaustion. I really hope DH consider himself lucky he gets to sleep!

In other news...LO did 6 hours!!! She's only ever done 4 and that was twice! I didn't think it was possible to love you more :x
