I'm one of them. DH's pistol is in its case right by the bed (for now, gun safe once A's mobile), and if I heard someone open the door when it's not time for DH to be home from work, I'd have had the magazine loaded and weapon hot, and been standing in the hallway before said person got their ass up the entry staircase. One warning to go back down and leave is all they'd get. I don't fuck around with my kid's safety! XD

@Ashleypixie‌ in my house, that guy would be gone or at the very least held at gun point until proving his identity. We have handguns and loaded clips in our room, we almost had an incident when SILs boyfriend came over at 4 AM and I heard him coming up the stairs. He better thank his lucky stars he yelled up the stairs before anything happened, DH was loading his gun.

Our house was broken into and DHs family farm was robbed twice, hence why we are wary. In the next week or so I'm hoping to establish that all guns get locked in the cabinet or the safe upstairs since LO will be mobile soon.

I'm having a go to fucking sleep moment. This baby sucks today. All she wants to do is scream and pull my hair and rip the skin off my face and if I put her down it escalates into full on, hyperventilating wails. Why won't she nap, for the love of god, why?! She is in her swing right now, in the bathroom because it's the quietest place in the house and I'm sitting next to her so she can see me and hopefully go the fuck to sleep before I have to run everyone all over town for practices so the two hours in the car won't be a fucking nightmare. And DH has a thing and won't be home till 10. Ughhhhh

Last week we didn't get any sleep because bottom tooth #1 was coming through, I've had evil spawn today so I check, bottom #1 still coming through and bottom #2 decided this was a great time to show up. I have Carter motrin. Hopefully he sleeps longer than 30 minutes because we both need it.

I've had sex a few times and I want to be pregnant but according to the per sticks I've peed on I am not. I love not having my period but its disconcerting.

I was a bit ragey but what if the baby had been napping and I was in the shower? I'm sure his intention wasn't to rob or rape or kidnap anyone but just a really bad move. It's been a pretty dramatic week round here.

Can I have some fellow Canadians weigh in on this? Not sure if it's just me or a cultural thing but this seems like no big deal to me lol. I remember in college some guy walked into our apartment because a friend of his used to live there and he didn't get the memo that he had moved. We all had a good laugh about it, shooting him was not considered.

My grandfather ended up making it. He had a blockage in the 'widowmaker'. Thankfully they got him to the cath lab and were able to put 5 stints in. He will be there until Friday, but things will probably be okay. We are incredibly thankful that they were fast acting at the hospital to take care of it. Apparently, this type of heart attack has 96% mortality rate. Thanks for all the good thoughts.

Because I've been so stressed and obviously hormonal, DH and I got in a fight about tacos that has continued to escalate. He doesn't know how to do anything with the baby and I asked 5 times for him to check his temp because he has been running a fever from the shots. I finally checked it after I realized he never did it and the poor guy was running a 101.9 degree fever. He also rolled in his MM suit, so we have to get him out of that tonight. He didn't take his bedtime bottle, so this night is looking like a shit show and I keep fighting with DH because he isn't being helpful and thinking before he acts.

@Vinny424 my dog eats pieces of a blanket everyday. How did thread mess him up so bad?? It's good that you have time to pay it. Hope Thurman Murman feels better!!!! My IL's have paid upwards of 10k for their one cat. What we do for our pets.

It's wrapped on his tounge in the way back that I couldn't see. They could snip it and hope it passes but that could mess him up a lot. It caused a blockage and apparently he has ibs because he's lost so much not from this blockage and will need to be on a special diet.

If you sew think of when you stitch across fabric and pull on the needle how all the fabric bunches up along the thread.

That's what happens to the intestines.

I just don't think Canada has the crime we do and fear mongering is so pervasive in the media lately that we're all a bit on edge. I wasn't upset because I thought he had some criminal intention, what mostly pissed me off was how he kept telling me that opening the door and walking around my kitchen was an "honest mistake." I have a baby sleeping upstairs and I'm just about to get in the shower and some stranger is downstairs for whatever reason IS a big deal no matter where you live. I had an issue with a man who would follow me everywhere and call me telling me he was watching me and popped my tires, it all made me much more stressed about creepy situations with strange men. This was only two years ago. I still don't own a gun though. I'm only a moderately irrationally fearful American.

Speaking of asshole pets, my damn dog ran away (I won't even go into the lengths he took to escape) while I was putting the baby to sleep. Thank goodness one of DHs friends lives nearby and knows Beau is a dickhead. He found him in the neighboring trailer park cavorting with the locals and bright him home. I offered him dinner sometime. He asked instead that I set him up. Lol

today I found out I have to have 3 maybe 4 root canal and crowns. Fucking awesome. I have two abcesses and an infection that she was surprised didn't hurt me. I have zero feeling in the nerve endings from when I had jaw surgery I never fully regained feeling. Every single infection I have gotten has been at an exact location where the oral surgeon broke or cut my jaw and it's always between two teeth. And every time the dentist or endodontist looks a little perplexed as to how it's between the teeth And not attached to a specific tooth. Just sucks. It's a lot of time and money. We had just paid off all our credit cards and then we had to buy a new fridge and now this will be like another 2500$ in dental work minimum.

Lovin it for solidarity, sista. My root canal failed last monday and I can not get into tbs endo for surgery until the 12. I've tried three antibiotics, and the first two didn't work. The third I picked up today and hopefully that works. The pain associated with mine is outrageous. Completely crazy and utterly expensive.
