Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )

  • @aronie82 I'm pretty sure you confessed to giving your little guy multiple foods without waiting the recommended 3 days, but I'm wondering what others have done? Does it matter if the parents don't have food allergies?

I was pretty haphazard about it.  Like tonight I was like, oh, guess he isn't allergic to peanuts!  Forgot that was there!

Neither of us has food allergies.  Don't know how much that plays in.

  • Well good. I don't feel bad about giving her banana yesterday and avocado today then. I probably got the crap judged out of me on Facebook, but oh well! A first parenting milestone I guess? :-/

  • Do you guys use gray or grey?
  • OMG my poor friend. He's been trying to sell his house, and he's done everything the realtor has asked of him. Well she told him to have the house professionally cleaned, and he said ok. Well the cleaner didn't clean, but he decided to touch up the paint. And it looks so much worse IRL...
  • @RedDawnsRevenge‌ that's awful! Did he pay for that?! What kind of cleaner touches up paint? I'd be so upset!!

A spent about half of his bath tonigh playing with his new-found goods. Flicked the tip. Cupped the balls. Even gave himself a little golden shower. It starts early, eh? :-L (That's the penis emoticon right?)

Food down the wrong pipe.  Thanks. XD

  • @swerbtastic3351‌ It's a ring sling I guess. It says it's 100% cotton, not sure if that helps to know if it's woven or not.

I use grey because it's prettier.

I started parenthood on Netflix. I'm 4 episodes in and I'm pretty sucked in. Lol why did I not start watching this when I was pregnant, sitting around and had nothing to do.

I started it a couple weeks ago and couldn't get into it... after the first episode. It's still a little cheesy at times, but I love it now! But Adam seriously needs to shave his sideburns off.

I've been watching since the get go. Still cry pretty much every episode, new one is on tomorrow :)
  • So I just discovered I've been driving around with a broken car seat! I have no idea how long it's been broken. Only one latch is broken, so I've been hearing it click but the other latch is way broken. So moral of the story is check your infant seat often if you use a base attachment.
  • Bein' all sleuthy and compiling a list of Bumpies' SNs with real names and kiddos' names, so I stop screwing up who's who!

    (I'm not a creeper, I promise. *cough*)

  • :\"> Thanks, ladies! I sure do appreciate y'all being an unofficial little focus group and a morale boost.
  • @edoliesmom‌ I use grey because I think gray looks ugly! Lol

A girl on my fb is always posting articles about breast milk and and formula propaganda. She just had her 2nd baby a month ago. Maybe it's mean but I kind of want her to dry up do she'll just stfu.

But I'm always posting BF articles... You still love me right?
  • Grey.

@mamrotu73 Bubba plays with his goods all the time. He also laughs when I wipe him there. Ugh, it starts so early.

Idk why, but I'm really having anxiety tonight that DS isn't trying to crawl like your babies! Also, he only rolled back to belly a few times. I hate that I compare him!

I've read that if you don't have a history of food allergies in either family that is not really necessary to wait the 2-3 days between foods.

Also, DS has his 6 month check yesterday and DH took him. The ped told him that peanut butter was ok and recent research shows its better to give it early actually? Anyone else heard this? She said only to wait on honey and cows milk.

This is our dr too. Says its better to introduce early. He gave me a better explanation ofcourse but that was the gist of it. But no honey til she's two. We followed his advice with our first and had no issues.
  • Don't stress @ambarnett1‌! There's such a wide range of perfectly healthy and normal, and every baby will have skills they learn faster and slower. And how they learn is so different too - this baby I see try a skill and fail at it for weeks and weeks, and get it little by little. My first wouldn't even try something at all, and I'd be absolutely panicking he still wasn't doing whatever it was - and the next day he'd just get up and crawl, like oh hi this is my new thing.

So your baby not even trying to crawl might get there faster than my rocking baby head butting the dresser. ...Especially if he keeps head butting furniture!

This! For a while I've been a little worried because dylan shows no interest in rolling. Last night when I got back from class he was sleeping on his belly but his dad had put him on his back. They do what they want at their own pace.

Recommendations for where to buy work trousers/pants?

AW Moment - My current ones have reached they point where if I shimmied enough I could get them off without undoing the zipper or button, but not so good for looking professional at work.

In the past I've purchased the "Perfect Trouser" in ankle length from the GAP, but now I am reading they have changed the cut & fabric (basically everything that made them great).
I like Rafaella slacks. So comfortable, true to size and they last forever!

I need RTT’s honest opinions. I was invited via text (kinda a last minute just because we ran into each other thing) to a “baby bash” that a friend and her husband are throwing for themselves. It’s basically a damn baby shower on the beach. Was I a little annoyed that they’re throwing it? Yes. Was I a little annoyed that I only got invited because we ran into each other? Kind of. Am I annoyed that she was formally invited to my shower, RSVPed and didn’t show? Yes. Should I go to this shower? I already got a gift but I am sooooo torn about whether or not I really want to go. Am I an asshole? I genuinely like this girl but I can’t get over my annoyance. If I decided to skip I could return the gift OR just keep it for Dylan as its practical stuff. WWRTTD?

I'm a fan of shopping at Tj maxx or marshalls; I get most of my clothes from there.

A nursing sports bra. It feels pretty tight but maybe it's not enough.

Maybe. I do remember a lot of momma's on here talking about their tricks for keeping the boobs in place while exercising. I don't quite remember who or what they were as my only form of exercise is walking to and from my car. Judge me. I give no fucks lmao.

I LIVE in those stores when I go to NYC. I'm going in the summer and I can not wait!
