I feel like such an ass. I am pretty mad/annoyed/disappointed at my sister for smoking her entire pregnancy. However, her water broke Monday night at 31wks. So... I shouldn't be mad at her. If anything, I should be praying for her little guy (which I am) but I'm still annoyed that she could have made better choices and might not be in this situation...

Hahaha, us too. Any time she is sitting facing me, she dive bombs my boobs. Also, Blaire likes to roll over while nursing, so she will start out "under" my boob, and rolls up and over. It's funny, but OMG OW!

There was a shooting on Parliament Hill . Not sure whats going on but its on every channel . A guard was shot and then apparently a shooting inside. No idea how the gunman got inside its like getting in the white house with a gun.

Yes I am here in Ottawa. Someone was shot on the War Memorial - the gunman went into parliament and open fired in there and was killed. They are still looking for more shooters as there have been shots fired elsewhere downtown. So scary.

DH was downtown this morning - just found out his is clear of there now and is ok. He said it was really scary.

There is footage of the shooting inside parliament on the Globe and Mail site and on you tube - its unsettling. Now they are saying its confirmed that there was shooting as well in the Rideau Centre which is the mall nearby.

DH and I are both military and I'm not gonna lie I am a little worried right now with this week's events clearly targeting military members. The possibility of a deployment is starting to loom over our heads. I'm going to enjoy my last 5.5 months of parental leave because I have no idea what's going to happen when I get back to work.

Good news! The warranty company will pay $1500 out of the $3100 claim, and then we are still waiting to her about the $600 claim for the power steering. If they cover that we will only have to pay like $1000 something. Thank God.

Its so scary what's going on in Ottawa right now. I have a friend in university there and they are still on lock down. There's so many conflicting reports.. They were saying there was more than one gunman now one is dead and he was the only one.
To be honest, it scares me to think that I'm brining up a child in a world where stuff like this happens.

Well bring on the nightmares. I was in a school shooting 6 years ago and still get frequent nightmares. They get much worse when public shootings are in the news. Sandy Hooke was especially bad. Just got over the stress of sending DS to school.

@embear22‌ I feel the same way! I admit I used To watch them but ever since an episode where Kim was thrown in the ocean and had a major breakdown because she lost an earring that was over 20K, I lost all respect for them. It was just the way she handled the whole situation that bothered me!

I feel like they are changing informaton and omitting important stuff so the culprits ( wtf why cant i think of a better word lol I am a licensed paralegal and law clerk ) don't hear. I keep hearing on the news that they arent saying such and such because they dont want to give out the info .

I had to watch full house today because they are repeating the same " breaking news" over and over since like 11;30 am . I hate when they put it on every channel.

Also that April 2014 mom group on fb that i joined by accident that i turned out really liking, there is a girl taking advantage of SAHM trying to get them involved in a work at home scam ( Daily Money Team / Instant Rewards FYI ) . pissing me off because she is adamant its not a scam / no selling like hello lady we have google.

Dylan has a sippy cup and knows what to do with it. We only put water in it. FFWC: Dylan's dad and I call his sippy cup a flask because he refuses to give it up once he gets it and he likes to nestle it next to himself in the high chair

@macgrs, sending a virtu-hug to you. I've been feeling kind of that same way, not able to give 100% anywhere and just being stretched really thin. Dudes, especially childless dudes, just have no concept of being a working parent. Even DH won't hesitate to stay late to finish something at the expense of time with me or LO. You're doing great, even though it might not feel that way!!!!

( I was given a Maya wrap, so I really wanted to make it work since it was free. I'm so intimidated by it though. I'd rather just have something that I strap on, stick her in it and we're good to go. :-<

I dont have a set amount but I also should.

For LO I don't plan on spending a tonne. He needs a convertible carseat like stat , a new stroller before i chuck it on the road and toys & books.

Guys... I ordered some pregnancy tests. We were not trying but not preventing and the last few days I've had what could potentially be early pregnancy symptoms. It could also be symptoms of having an infant and being chronically sleep deprived though. I'm way more excited and way less scared than I thought I'd be at the thought of another baby. I'm tempted to buy a test at the store instead of waiting for the cheapies to show up in the mail.
