LO was 16.8lb and 26" at his 6 mo checkup, he's EFF.
Just wondering if anyone does any at home workout DVDs or programs. I just don't go to the gym anymore...I only really like the classes and they always take place during LOs nap times, so I just don't end up going, so I think I need to just workout at home. Insanity workout or p90x are probably too hardcore for me (definitely too hardcore). At the gym I usually do Zumba...has anyone done any Zumba at home? Any recommendations are appreciated!
No suggestions but I've been thinking of doing the same. I was going to check the library for videos. DH suggested looking to see what Amazon prime has on streaming, if you have that.
Unfortunately no Amazon prime or Hulu in Canada
Bummer! I didn't realize you are in Canada. Well, at least you have universal health care.
Haha, yes, lack of Amazon prime and Hulu are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.
Lack of Amazon Prime is huge. Not for the video service, but the free 2-day shipping. How do you live?!
I don't know about the TV stuff but we do have amazon prime free 2 day shipping stuff, my friend has an account. Of course Amazon Canada blows but that's another issue.
Whyyyyy did my baby decide he hates pacis? My nipples hurt so bad from his comfort nursing (
All of this. I tried a paci again today and he just looks at me like "you're kidding right?"
Has D ever taken one before? S used one from 1-5 months and suddenly hates them!!
This is exactly what happened with my LO. She won't even take one for a minute. She will pick up her wubanub sometimes and try and suck on his paw or chew on the side of the paci but heaven forbid you try to put it in her mouth!
Today's dilemma: to get KFC (Ew haven't had it in forever, but craving it), or pizza and cheesy fries from the local pizza/sub shop, or Chinese. All things I'm craving! I don't know how to choose.
Saw LOs new doctor today and I actually like him. I was concerned at first because I always hear bad things about the doctors here. For those of you BFing, did you or are you considering getting the flu shot? I concerned it'll hurt my supply.
Skipping a bit from the weekend and Monday, but hugs and high fives to those who need and want them.
Side note: getting tired of seeing posts started by some people. Seriously, when you've started 1/4 the amount of discussions as you've had posts, contribute more.
Almost every post I open is from the same person. I need to pay more attention.
:-? Wondering who you're talking about... Just scrolled through, and I think it could be a couple people.

eta : I dont know why this looks weird. OH GOD I can't believe I forgot to post this "gem" .
On Thanksgiving this year , FIL purposefully went into the kitchen for the sole purpose of getting a turkey leg bone and bringing it back to the dining room table . Proudly he presented this turkey carcus part and then advised while leaning across the table to my son who was perched like a casserole on the table's top in a Bumbo , that is was fine for LO to have as there is no meat on it.
Thankfully my DH has at least half a brain and grabbed it from FIL's fist before he could give my bulldog son a bone to gnaw on.
I was speechless at the whole ordeal until MIL says to me that if I never let LO try new things , how will he get used to them. Because you know he will need to know how to chew on bones in life .
Also I have never eaten KFC . Well not the chicken at least. I had the fries once but found the gravy terrifying. I kinda wish our KFC had mashed potatoes but last I checked they didnt . That was eons ago though. I vaguely recall when KFC had loaves of bread though.
I'm behind due to sick baby, but I'm super guilty of buying all the baby shoes. We have bought the Freshly Picked mocs and I like them a lot. They stay on her feet and are really well made, plus you can resell on facebook. For a non-walker, I can easily resell for $30 and I paid $45 for them. To me, it's worth it. Someone just posted something today saying that they buy 3-4 pairs of shoes a year for their toddler and she constantly loses them. Since the FP stay on the feet, she can buy one pair and they'll last much longer and it makes it worth the money. I did buy a knock off pair for cheerleading competitions, and they are really well made and nice and a bit cheaper. I got those from Baby T mocs, and I know there are some brands in Canada because my canadian mommies have become addicted too. If you want the name let me know and I'll find out for you.
I leave the Uggs to my crazy mom to buy, but I really like them too. Hoping I can resell those and the other name brands too.
Baby shoes, probably a weakness at my house... Even my husband likes the mocs.
We have a pair of toddler/baby uggs. They're like a baby size 4/5 and DD1 wore the hell out of them. The only reason DD1 even had a pair was that my mom found them on clearance at nordstrum for $20! Apparently no one wanted Barney purple uggs? DD2 will be wearing them as well, despite their very loved appearance. I have a pair of uggs I've had since 8th grade. The Costco brand is every bit as nice without the high price tag, the only problem is the dye will stain your feet. I now only wear the old uggs when camping as they are truly beat to hell.
Oh i have no problem buying UGGs for myself. love them and they last forever. although i was a bit disappointed in the Bailey Bow UGGS from last year i think it was . They are made weird and tight across the top . Mine never got squishy. Love the crochet ones too and of course the classic ones.
joytomylife- I'd be interested in the canadian brands if you can get me the name please.
LO Is having an awesome nap. I really need to have a shower but i vaccumed instead . Now trying to pry myself off the couch to deal with the dishes quickly . would much rather sit but I ll be mad later if I try to do it when LO Is up .
We are on hours 7.5 of being awake/crying. The swing didn't even work. The car didn't work. She won't take a bottle. I have zero idea what to do. I'm exhausted.
Oh how miserable!! Both of you must be so exhausted. I'm so sorry. Maybe try a bath? Maybe the warm water will relax her. Sorry I don't have a better suggestion.

DD1 caught a cold at school and of course was nice enough to share it with baby L and I. Ugh. They are both getting better and I just keep feeling worse. I just want to whine and sleep all day.
DH said he'd pick up dinner so I don't have to cook so I guess that makes up for it.
@deidremaria - Connor got that fire truck for his first birthday. He would DIE if he knew I let the baby touch it!
@hlm184 - Good taste! I thought with a name like Duncan he needs all the tartan stuff. I want a tartan wrap!
I fucking live for you three and your crazy FB updates about Connor's meltdowns
On top of the $1500 in repairs we've already done this year.
We can't get a new car. We still owe like $7000 on this one. I found the extended warranty we purchased. I pray the approve of the claim because I def don't have $3600 for car repairs
Edolie is 6 months old today! I copied some of y'all and decided to put in a little extra effort to make them nicer. We did outside pictures! She was so distracted though, so I didn't get any super smily ones.

I'm peeing on a stick tomorrow. I planned on it even before D's dad and I made up. I don't think I'm pregnant but it's possible. If I am I'm screwed. Although I'm OAD I think I'd want a girl. Ive been obsessing over pregnancy all day. Some one smack some sense into me.
@deidremaria Feel free to come snuggle her anytime! We can trade baby snuggles. I wouldn't mind some Dylan snuggles.
@Vinny424 Thanks!! I like taking them with my camera, but it's being dumb and won't turn on. I just had to use my phone, but I'm happy with how they turned out too!

Can I have some positive thoughts? This whole car situation keeps getting worse, now we are at $1000 in repairs... Again.
Also is a morning drinking thread acceptable? Because I'll start one.
