So tired and annoyed. (:| Edolie woke up at 2:30, which she does maybe once a week, and then again at 5:40, which is around her regular time. But then she woke up at 7:15!? She's not hungry, she's just awake. I didn't expect her to be up til around 9. (

I skipped pumping entirely yesterday to work on the oversupply thing. Righty took it well, but lefty is a hot mess. I pumped this morning, but it still hurts to touch it or move my arm. (
Ugh that sucks. Can you get in the shower and massage it under hot water?

This is a normal night for us, except add in a 11:30 on the extra awesome nights. I-)
Haha guys! No I haven't GBCB but that'd be funny if I did. I just haven't had anytime to catch up on 1300 pages of RTT. So someone summarize everything I've missed this week.
Oh, and guess what I'm doing right now? I'm waiting for crazy lady client to show up to MY HOUSE so I can do her damn hair and the bitch is an hour late! The baby has been asleep for an hour and timing would have been perfect but she sucks. And her checks always bounce.
The sleep fairy visited our house last night for the first time in over a month! LO slept through from 7-4:30! Not counting on it lasting, but man it felt good.
Question: MIL watches LO on Mondays. We get along ok, but I wouldn't call us close. A couple of weeks ago, DH was talking to her, and they decided she would like a walker. He mentioned it to me, and I said I thought I'd read those weren't recommended anymore because dangerous - DH said ok and we decided to look into another toy/activity to get her. I looked into it more and read that in addition to being potentially dangerous, they can delay walking/development. Fast forward to yesterday, when DH and I get a text from MIL all excited because she had bought LO a couple of new outfits, and a Baby Einstein walker for days LO is over there. I don't want her to use it, but MIL would be offended if we said no she can't use it (plus, we casually checked and they had already opened it, put it together, etc) or suggested they return it for something else.
So do I put my foot down and risk weirdness or let it go for one day a week? DH doesn't think it's that big of a deal but said he would support me if I felt really strongly about it. Ugh.
Break something on it when no one is looking. Like a wheel or something and be like, "oh no...I guess it has a defect" then turn the conversation into something you want.

Is this a battle you feel is worth fighting? If so, then put your foot down. Did you tell her you'd prefer not to get one before they bought it?
My in laws bought us a bumbo seat because the tray was free with purchase about a month ago and my BIL and SIL have one and they "love it so of course everyone needs one!!" I have no use for one but had to pretend to be grateful. So it sits there.
IL's sent a card. DH is getting a flu shot to celebrate. My parents are in China or something and haven't talked to me (FB or email either) for about a month... Hoping they babysit when they come visit after DH gets back so we can go out alone. Guess I'll just keep unpacking.
A woke up at 11:30 and 2:30, we got up for the day at 6:30 cuz I let him talk to and play with his feet for 20 mins first.
@MLC912 my niece and nephew both used one and my mom bought one for DD. My nephew walked at 7 or 8 months, my niece walked at a year. We won't get one for our house because we would need a 6 foot baby gate to block off three stairs. At my moms house, there aren't any stairs that don't have a door to close. So I would say if there aren't any stairs around, I would let it go. If there are, I would put up a fight.
So the car is totaled. The insurance company called today finally. So now we have to get DH a new car. Is it bad that I am happy about that? First I hated the neon green mazda. The color, the way it drove. It looked like a car a highschooler would get, not a grown man. Second I hate having to rearrange DD naps to take DH back and forth to work everyday. I am tired and cranky. We usually sleep until 9 or 10 but have been getting up at 7 to take him to work. She sleeps in the car so she doesn't want a nap until late afternoon. (Which means no nap for me). I usually have to wake her up from her nap to go pick him up!!! Her eating schedule has gotten so messed up because of it. She only gained 1/2 oz in the past week. She usually eats before naps but when we get home she isn't sleepy, she wants to play. With the car totaled we could have a new car by Monday instead of waiting 3 weeks to fix the old one
I’ve been missing a lot because that come to Jesus talk that
majority of you suggested my bf and I have finally happened. It should have
happened before we broke up because a lot of hard feelings could have been
avoided. We both had a chance to address all the things that were affecting our
relationship and we also finally got to see the other’s perspective. We want to
stay together but we aren’t rushing into it. We are making more time for each
other and getting back to how we used to be. Most importantly we both
apologized to one another for the bullshit we’ve been through these last couple
of months because it takes two. Our lease will be up in July so we’ll know by
Dylan’s birthday if we’re definitely staying together. We are still in separate
rooms but we are working our way back to each other. I think it may actually
work out :-)
@deidremaria that's awesome that you guys talked things out! No matter what happens, you will both be important people in Dylan's lfe so good communication is so important!
POAS today and it was negative!!! Thank you Jesus!
I'm so happy for you @deidremaria! I hope that you can both enjoy this second chance at having a relationship, and that whatever comes of it you can be considerate coparents.
@celticlullaby I would be more than happy to rock her to sleep until she didn't let me anymore, but it's the putting her down, her waking up, me having to rock her for another 20-30 minutes, trying to put her down again and doing that 1-3 more times that's the problem.
I've tried not rocking her as long, thinking I've waited too long. She wakes up. I've tried rocking her longer, thinking I haven't done it long enough. She wakes up. She naps on our bed, and she lets me put her down just fine during her naps. So I've started putting her down on the bed for her night sleep and then transferring her later. That's hit or miss, but it's what's worked best so far.
She won't let my husband put her down for bed even though he can sometimes put her down for naps. So while I'm in our room for an hour or longer, he gets to sit in the living room and watch tv or do whatever he wants while I'm in there with her. It makes me resent him even though I know it's not his fault, or I resent her because I don't get that quality time with him. I'm with her all day, and even when he can give me a break when he gets home, we don't get quality time together with just the 2 of us unless she's napping.
Sure, 9am sounds magical, but when you have a baby that won't let you get to sleep earlier than 11-12, it's not that great. It could be worse, I know, but my baby doesn't go down as early as most of y'all's seem to.
I know that it won't be this way forever, but I don't know when I'll see that light at the end of the tunnel. If I just knew when it would be over, maybe I wouldn't be so stressed. With sleep training, at least I would have an idea. Or if there was something we haven't tried that might work, I would do that. The last thing I want to do is sleep train, but I feel like I have no other choice. I hate the resentment I feel, and I hate not being able to just have a solid hour break at the end of the night, not having to worry about when she's going to wake up. Is that selfish of me?

That's good to hear @deidremaria I'm glad y'all are figuring all of this out while Dylan is still a little guy! That way whatever y'all decide, it'll be the norm for him whenever he gets older.

Holy crap we have a tooth! Guess she was/is teething...lol. I was worried that I was just making excuses for how miserable she was. Her sister didn't get her first tooth for 3 more months!
@3crazykitties - I'm not sure I understand. You are currently living with your In Laws but need to move out of there soon and your parents have offered but you don't want to because its gross?
I would just tell them that you would rather live on your own ( if that is the case of course ).
I don't know if I should be happy or worried. LO has been sleeping a lot more than normal today. I'll check for a fever when he wakes up. I hopes he's okay. Do babies sleep a lot when teething? I don't think he's teething but you never know.
Why does the sleep sheep sound like it's possessed by the devil when the batteries are dying? More importantly, why does DD continue to peacefully sleep through it?
My batteries are fine and it still sounds like Satan's footsteps when it's on heartbeat mode. No thanks! Haha
HAHA - DH had the same reaction to the heartbeat noise the first time he heard it!! He thought it was broken :-P
They need to invent a machine that you plop into the toilet bowl and it cleans and scrubs for you. One of the settings should be called ' husband ate beans' lol so it would know to scrub longer
This is the best thing I've read all day. Last night was chilli night. DH has chore list when he gets home and the toilet just so happens to be on it.
