Sooo I was creeping pb again, and a few people mentioned that their bump mod sources are saying that angry mods are not logging in from sat-mon so that angry bumpers can have at it over the weekend to show the bump gods that "the boards dont run themselves."
So is the bump going to be a hot mess of sass all weekend? :-/
I haven't heard anything...but I also wouldn't be surprise considering everything that's going on. I'll give you guys a heads up if I hear anything.

I took out one of the glass inserts for our dining table, replaced it with a piece of wood, cut a hole in said wood, and put a "toddler table" replacement seat in the hole.
BOOM! Built-in high chair!
I'll round the edges and paint it to finish it off.
I'm coming out of lurkdom to see if I can help @edoliesmom Do you put your DD down on her back after you've rocked her to sleep? Have you tried putting her down on her side? I noticed my DD was rolling to her side while she slept. After that I was no longer able to put her down on her back. Otherwise she would stir and wake up. If I put her down on her side she is good to go.

You know... I realized about a month ago that she liked being on her side, so I did it for a couple days. She would roll to her back and wake up, so I stopped doing it because I got too aggravated trying to (unsuccessfully) get her to go back to sleep. But when she wouldn't roll to her back she took really good naps! She's still in her RNP, but when we transition to PNP I'll have to remember that! Thanks @Amsull324! I had completely forgotten about that. She's sleeping in my arms right now, so I might just be brave enough to try it here in a few minutes...

@edoliesmom I can't really see the goat but if it is an uncasterated male they STINK, especially this time of year. They pee on themselves and their urine smells super strong. So I blame the goat.
@aprilmay9 I've been to many, many childrens' birthday parties and have never once gotten a thank you card for a gift. And I've only ever said a verbal "thank you" for birthday gifts when they're given. I don't mind not getting cards, I actually ask people not to write me cards and they usually say thank you and ask me not to write them ones either. Less work. But with all the baby shower etiquette shananaggans early on, we already established that the California Bay Area is a different area in terms of social norms.
@mamrotu73 You are so crafty and that table is seriously cool.

We bed share. It was not my intention originally, but it was the only way anyone got any sleep for a long time. But lately, Cora has been waking up progressively earlier every day. Today she was up at 4:30. After an hour of trying to get her back to sleep, I brought her in the nursery and put her in her crib. It was more out of exhaustion and frustration than thinking it would actually help. 3 minutes of fussing, then total silence. She is back sleep. Hallelujah. Maybe it's time to transition her to the crib full time.
Ugh what a horrible night. LO is still teething but had a decent night overall, I only had to get up 3 times for her (11:30, 2 and 4) and up for the day at 6:15 - but that combined with a random 3 hour awake period for her sister from 2:30 - 5:30 and an midnight vomit session for me and I am a true mombie this morning. And I am also a little ragey because DH didn't get up once! Grrrr. Originally our deal was I get up with LO and he gets up with DD. This is the first time ever that DD has gotten up during the night since LO was born and he left it all to me! At 4 I was actually in with DD and trying to get her back to bed while LO woke up crying for her feed and he could hear it all on the monitor and ignored it!! He was trying to sleep because he had to get up for work at 5:20 - oh excuse me if we were keeping you up!
I just got an invitation to a first birthday party that has "please no gifts" written on the front. So do I really show up empty handed? It makes me feel weird. Can I get something for mom for making it a year?
Maybe a sweet 1st bday card for baby and a gift card for something special for mom. Then give it to them in private. I usually at least bring a card.

I am bemused. Last night Shea went to sleep at 7:15 (usually 8:30-9:30), had one wake-up at midnight, and then only woke up at 7:45, and WENT BACK TO SLEEP until 8:30. It's usually an awesome day if he lets me sleep past 7:15. This shit is b-a-n-a-n-a-s so I'm sending lots of fairy dust your way RTT! (Warning: I am not responsible if your boobs explode)
So annoyed with a couple that are supposedly DH's friends. A few years ago I totaled my car and they couldn't understand how we could afford to buy a new SUV, like it's any of their business anyway, but the "new" car was a 2004 so not anywhere near new. We've been renovating our house for what seems like forever and according to them we don't have the money to do it. We bought DH a truck, didn't have the money for that either according to them. Yesterday, he comes home and tells me they're criticizing the way we raise our child. I'm sick and tired of it. Especially since I'm pretty sure the only reason they have any extra money while raising their three kids is that the guy sells drugs (his dad has been in jail for selling for a while and I'm pretty sure he just took over his dad's operation). Sorry for the morning rant, but I had to say this somewhere!
I nursed until my boobs were sore and Cora was still hungry so I gave her some baby food. She got sick of that but still seemed hungry so I gave her mum mums. She still seemed hungry so I gave her toast sticks. She still seems hungry and is now growling at me. WTH is going on? :-S
Holy cow. I'm reading the comments on the articles about the lawyer that had to take her baby to court with her ...people are like "these things are scheduled weeks in advance, she had plenty of time to find a sitter". Of a 4 week old?! Wow, people, way to have a little compassion.
I just went to find the article and read it - holy crap I want to slap the judge!! As for the comments, it appears that the majority of the people making negative comments have clearly failed reading comprehension...

Why in the hell does DH still talk to them? We all could afford a lot more shit if we sold drugs. But we don't. Because the law.
Probably because he's the godfather of their oldest. They act nice to my face, but they constantly talk about us behind our backs and we find out from other friends.

The teething hunger is real. By the end of the day I'm totally drained. My boobs hurt, and I feel like he's always nursing. And he grubs real hard at dinner, it's madness and I don't know what the heck is happening, Apple slices seem to hold his attention for a long while since he can naw on them like a rabid animal.

This pretty well describes it. It's kind of scary!
I had a rabid animal attached to my boob for a couple weeks - seems to be on the downward slope now! So don't make any sudden movements and hang in there!
Just played mad scientist in the kitchen and made a delicious lactation smoothie. Pretty pleased with myself.
A couple weeks?! Oy!
Now she is sleeping on my lap on the boppy and waking every half hour or so to eat. It's like I have a newborn again. Only I have to go to work soon and I can't leave a boob with the poor daycare lady.
I'm trying to teach myself how to crochet a circle (I've never crocheted before)and it keeps curling in, and this damned hook is going through the tv screen to shut that perky happy YouTube bitch up in like 30 seconds.
Mine did that as well. Even after blocking it still looked like a wool condom.

I hate when I click on the first page of RTT and have to post something just to get to the last page.
FFFC: it had never occurred to me to do that and so I wind up spending a ton of time clicking though the pages to get back to the end. Doh! #-o
ETA: luckily it has only happened to me a couple times. Also, I just realized you can click on the last page using the links under the thread title. I swear I used to be smart.
In a moment d desperation at 3 in the morning I downloaded the Wonder Weeks app. I'm glad I did because it helped explain a lot of things! Around this age they're starting to perceive distance, and it's a "stormy" period. I used to be all "aw, my baby is grumpier than usual! Poor thing" and just took the hits as they came, but I guess my patience has worn thin. I needed an explanation!

I just taught myself how to crochet this weekend. I found that I tend to do my foundation chains pretty tight, which isn't good and tends to cause a lot of problems I was having at first.

Home from the chiro again. Omg. Miracle worker. My back feels so. Much. Better. I was really getting scared it would just be broken forever.
Y'all, if your back is still hurting, I know it's been said but I'll just go ahead and say it again cause I was too stubborn to go. Chiropractor. Do it.
We've been having a leak from our bathroom down through the ceiling of our living room for WEEKS now and the landlord's handyman just found the location. To fix it, he has to cut a hole in the wall of the baby's room at some point this coming week. UGH!!
Today, during yoga, I was reminded to do my kegels. We were on our backs and had our legs in the air, spread all the way out and I felt some air kind of "suck up" in there. Afterwards, I had to hold a kegel the whole time for fear that I would queef in class. Luckily I didn't but the whole time I was just thinking to myself "damn I need to do kegels!"
Moral of the story. Do you kegels so you don't queef in yoga class.

@lia619 tell your MIL she's welcome to come to you. Her behavior is ridiculous and childish.
