With all the drama going on, and reading about all the insanity you mods have to put up with, I wanted to thank @thomas930 and @WifeofaComposer for doing a thankless job for us :-) You two are great >:D<
No worries and thank you. I'm so glad that our board isn't insane. There are a lot of allegations being thrown around and some mods are getting a bad name for things that aren't their fault. BJ has had to step in quite a bit. AG was banned for posting about what was discussed through PMs. I know the rumors are that it was for no real reason.

yeah i saw about the messages thing, that she posted about pms between her and a mod. but i guess she isnt ip banned. another chick from sahm mom who was banned got her old AE and told "TB to go fck it self" then she was banned again.
So linking elsewhere on the internet is a tou violation? Right :-q I think the nest still hasn't recovered from the gbcn of a couple years ago and tb is afraid of losing more posters to the other place.
I think normally when regular gossip is just being discussed it would go unnoticed but with the mass exodus happening there has been a crack down and everyone is on high alert. I just don't want you guys to get into trouble for something you didn't know about.

because apparently the place that shall not be named is a competitor website, so linking to it or talking about moving to it is promoting it... gotta get those user clicks.
Sweet Jesus I missed a lot! So all the drama has nothing to do with AG's ban? Fruit snacks WTAF? I saw something about homophobia and religion and read that she called someone a bigot, so I though it was something about that? And right on AG if it was!
Oh, thanks for explaining @thomas930 - I crossed posts with you!
There's like... three separate sets of drama. There's the AG ban/SAHM GBCB, the HE/CG Parenting drama, and something else about dickpics.
I can't quit you, RTT. Downloaded the new baby app lastnight and binge bumped all the way through the ten days I missed.
Highlights: those pumpkin pants. For real. The cutest! RDR, go on with your bad nurse self! Congrats on all that forward momentum, sounds like things are getting better. Dani, I was so sad for your missed thanksgiving dinner! And also excited about the idea that Canada gets to do that a month before us. I want all the turkey day food!
We've had an interesting week or so. Sullivan had to see the pediatrician about penile adhesion, yikes. He's all better but um, circ'd moms, keep an eye out for that. I've been to see the doc about my stupid back, it's been getting worse and worse and I thought it would never get better. Even with x-rays claiming I was fine and muscle relaxers, no improvement and could barely walk or lift the baby. Went to see the chiropractor yesterday (I hate it took me so long to get there, I was scared of the chiro I guess) and holy smokes I am a new woman today. Less pain than I have been in for weeks!! And been making all kinds of research and notes for a business plan I hope to have loan-worthy by Sullivan's first.
I still can't believe you have an Iphone and no instagram @dani+california and being old is no excuse !!

LO is finally feeling better . He's so chipper he got up at 5;30 to start his day. I am so glad I don't live in an apartment . I highly doubt my neighbors would appreciate LO playing on his Step N Play Piano at 6 am .
Getting dressed today consisted of a switch from PJ pants to trackers. High standards over here.
Poor Q. I don't think Edolie has started real teething yet, so no advice from me other than if I were in your situation, I'd keep an eye on him for today and tomorrow, and if no improvement, I'd see about making an appointment for Friday.

I think my LO is teething too - yesterday was a brutal day and her gums are definitely puffier than before. She is chewing everything in site and drooling like a fiend. We have been doing the washcloths too - and she also really likes sucking on an ice cube in a mesh feeder
my LO has been like that for a few days at a time . At the time I thought it was teething but its not a constant so I dont know.
I did find the camilia helped , along with a pretzel shaped cold teether. He wont take any of the other ones but seems to like to hold on to the pretzel ones. And yup , Id usually give him the teether, tempra if needed and park him in his mamaroo with the baby einstein mozart dvd . It is like crack . He loves it. Totally not ashamed that I keep it in my back pocket for the inconsolable days.
@dani+california my LO has been acting similarly. Inconsolable, drooling, chewing on his hand, etc. We've also had a couple rough nights sleep. Mine likes to chew/suck on a cold carrot stick or red bell pepper slice. I also gave him a toothbrush to chew on yesterday! Poor kid. Hope things improve for you!
Poor DS's cough has turned really wet sounding. He keeps getting choked on the phlegm and puking, which he's never done until this sickness. I think I may take him to the pedi on this one, which I typically don't do.
And @dani+california good luck!! Desperate times come for desperate measures. I don't blame you at ALL.
I know people that parked their infants infront of a tv all the time and those kids turned out fine. While I don't think it's ok I'll use this rational if DS needed distraction from pain like that on occasion. I mean when I feel shitty I like to wrap myself up and shit on the couch watching crack too. And by crack I mean an svu marathon
Remind me to never sit on your couch.
Didn't even notice it til you said this. )

Using ovulation tests and DTD the day I ovulated and day after. However, even given this my jaw is on the floor because DD took two years and three IUI's to conceive. This was the first month we made any effort to try.
Is anyone else's LO inconsolable when teething? I'm a little worried...LO won't stop crying and fussing. Like purple crying. I've given him Tylenol, teethers, everything...he cried for 2 hours before he passed out. I just want to make sure it's really his teeth bothering him and not something else! Poor little man. I've never seen him like this, and it's never been difficult to soothe him before.
A cried and fussed for almost 3 hours last night before passing the eff out finally. She's been drooling and chewing a lot more, but she's also had a fever for the last few days and diarrhea, both of which I was attributing to teething. She didn't have the fever yesterday so I'm assuming her discomfort was due to teething. Not purple crying, not quite, but crying harder than usual for sure.

Congrats @meg.eliz1!!! Crazy.ness.
I hope everyones teething babies get those teeth soon.
Im mom of the year over here. I left lo on the couch on her tummy to run to the laundry and she somehow fell off amd was wedged between the coffee table woth her face in the sofa bottom I feel fucking terrible. Not to mention she somehow got 4 mosquito bites on her. I need to pay better attention.
Chase's first pediatrician is now retired. He was my pediatrician growing up. He made a point of telling me that, in all the years he has been a pediatrician, he has never had a baby get injured from falling off the couch.
I can understand why you feel bad, but your LO is just fine.

Dani, teeth are the enemy. I have no advice, only empathy. Sullivan's first two made him so miserable and he wasn't having any teething toys or cold stuff. He just wanted to chew my finger (ouch), cry, and not sleep.
@celticlullaby I love that gif so much. Kevin Spacey in HoC is amazing.
And re:penile adhesion. Daddy took him cause I had to work, but the doc had to just pull the skin back, gently clean it out, and Vaseline for a few days. I thought I was keeping it pulled back enough but apparently I was too gentle. I mean, I don't have one of those, I'm not just gonna go yanking on that skin willy nilly! X_X
My boss actually almost called a team meeting to talk about Ebola. The 2nd nurse infected was visiting family in my town right before she was diagnosed. My news feed and the halls at work are a-buzz
So, I decided to be healthy by bringing a salad to work for lunch today. I haven't brought lunch to work since Carlene was born. I'm all set to eat my salad and then workout tonight. Just had my calendar pop up to remind me about the pizza party at the office.
Do I have pizza, or my salad.
Or really fail and eat both?
I could eat pizza today and save my salad for tomorrow...
FWP!

Oh my Gosh things have been crazy. I miss maternity leave/sahm life. Work/baby/marriage/family/friends is a lot.
Anyway... This finally happened last night. I'd been terrified to stop swaddling and transition to crib that I just avoided it as long as possible. But, our babysitter sort of shamed me the other day so operation transition happened last night. She was totally fine. Obviously. Sleep sheep and blankie were removed after this photo was taken, don't fret.
hey all, sorry been MIA. life has just been so nuts the last week.
ETA: thanks @Celticlullaby for asking after DH, that means a lot.
Rant to follow...
I cant remember what I last wrote, probably about being the B*^* who didn't recognise just how sick DH was until he got admitted into hospital? Well he got out the next day - it was just for observation, but he had absolutely no strength at all, couldn't even open the car door. Turns out it was just a nasty virus - he had a headache, body aches and a fever. No flu symptoms at all. So I have had a taste of what it would be like to have 2 children. Yes he's sick, but... Lets just say that my stress levels were through the roof the last few days.
I went to work for a half day on Tuesday and Wednesday and left LO with a babysitter just so I could get a break, and he had help with her yesterday. He is much better now, I am working a full day today and I have never been so glad to be at work.
Oh and (another moan) he's been sleeping in the spare room while he's been sick, fair enough while he had fevers and was up half the night. But the last couple of nights he's been sleeping great, but he wants to stay in the spare room until he is 100%, leaving me to deal with all the MOTN stuff (before he would get up, change her, and give her to me to feed). I really just want to say get over your self, you are good enough to look after her, you are good enough to go back to normal routine. I never got let off anything when I was sick! And last night LO decided to wake every hr from midnight, so I didn't get that much sleep...
TL/DR I'm annoyed with DH for acting like an ass now he is over his virus.
Ok enough about me, how are you all?

@jessieann1020 We're seeing a pediatric urologist for DS's adhesion. There is a tiny strip adhered to the head. The urologist called it a skin bridge and gave us cream to loosen the skin and help break the bridge. That was 8 weeks ago. No such luck So we're going back next week to see the next step.

Pretty much this ^^
All the drama going on elsewhere, idk how some of you can keep up with it! I barely keep up on just A14.

DH asked me this morning if we could start trying for #2 and totally abandoning our plan. Now there's a war raging in my head.
We played with paint again today, pumpkins did not end up looking like pumpkins but I got a messy baby.
