@42Butterflies - I'm eagerly anticipating the end of your cow saga tonight. We lived next door to a sheep farm in high school, and I vividly remember the day when one of their sheep escaped into our dogs' field.
@megsw85 - *hugs* I hope you get to spend as much time as you need with family
We're sampling the limoncello that DH started *ages* back (@GraceinCA's recipe?) - sadly, DH got a bit too much pith in with the lemon rinds, so it's a bit bitter, but nom nom nom anyhow.
LO went to bed at 7 tonight! About an hour and a half earlier than normal, which is not too unexpected, as he had a super busy day. I'm excited to actually finish the hat I'm making LO for this winter. He's very anti-hat, so I figure one will cover us nicely for now. I'll PIP if LO is feeling cooperative tomorrow!
I attempted to cut Jameson's sideburns tonight. They are def not even but the boy freaked out as soon as the comb and scissors came close to his head. I even tried to come in from the back so he couldn't see and it didn't work out to well at all. Meh, at least it's better than before.
Grayson has only been asleep for an hour and a half and his diaper is full already. I'm crazy but I'm going to attempt to change him without waking him up. Last night I woke up to a bed soaked in pee. I would like to avoid a repeat...wish me luck. I'm going in!
I wish I was able to have a few drinks with you ladies tonight. I had a bottle of wine ready for tonight and everything but my manager put me on the schedule for tomorrow last minute because they are expecting a really busy day. Ugh!!! I hope you all have a great night!!!!
Dear Son, Finally being able to tell the pediatrician that you weren't sleeping like crap any more was NOT a challenge. I thought we were past the point of needing to see each other every 3 hours all night long. My boobs had been enjoying the time off at night and now they are staging a protest.
I am crying. I hate my job so much right now. I have a big presentation to all of my peers tomorrow so I asked MH for an hour to put the finishing touches on my stuff. He took the kids to his parents house for the morning to play at the beach. Now I am done and I hate myself for letting my work get in the way of memories. I don't know why this is hitting me so hard, but I HATE my job right now.
@WasNotWas There will be TONS of memories that you will be a part of. The kids will not remember this one moment. It is fine to take an hour to get some stuff done for work and then be present and spend time with them later. They will not feel neglected and one hour does not mean you are choosing your career over them!
Target PSA: A bunch of diapers (including up&up) are on sale and if you buy 2, you get a $10 gift card. Plus, all up&up products are 10% this week using cartwheel.
@wasnotwas, more internet hugs. At least you are done now and can enjoy every second with them for the rest of the day wo w/o worrying about stupid work
@wasnotwas just think of it as time that your husband gets to make memories of him with the boys! I was feeling a teeny bit guilty on my long run today when DH texted me that he was taking the boys to a farm to get pumpkins without me, but then I was like, eh, I spend way more time with them and he doesn't get alone time with them and they really enjoy daddy time too.
Andplusalso it's for work, not like something selfish like me! I know the feeling but hang in there!
@mcbush - it sucks to feel left out and distanced from your family because your lives are in different places . Can you talk to any if them about it? Maybe your sibling with the 10 y/o understands.
I just let ds nap way too late because he didn't fall asleep for his nap until almost 4 and I needed to get work done. I am sure this is going to make the rest of the night a complete disaster.
DH and I are having an inside date night. He ordered pizza and he is bathing and putting KJ to bed now. When the pizza arrives we'll watch a movie on the projector. It was his idea
DH spent all day yesterday with his(our) friends here playing games. Today they were supposed to come over again to watch football, but at the last minute DH decided to go over there instead. I just feel miserable and lonely. I've never been good at having "my own" friends, and that is just being hit home today. I spend most of my time at home, by myself, with LO and it stinks to spend the weekend that way too.

Yes, I'm quoting myself . I forgot to add that this is a big deal because he's missing the Giants/Eagles game to do this Gotta go! The movie is about to start!
@34blondie have you checked out this stroller yet?? You can get them on amazon for the same price as well. It's the one I'm getting because I can not justify spending that much money on a city select. Just a thought
