@Monicavickery I'm def having a few issues too with DH. I have to mention hey your son is making fussing noises wanna check that diaper ... Every time. And he's getting extra snappy at me because he still has to take primary care of DS cause my incisions are incredibly sore from my gallbladder surgery. And I have no more pain meds. Oh and he accused me of being addicted today when I said I wasn't sure if I should call to see if I could get more. How do c/s mommas do it? Or c/s and b/fing at the same time? I feel like such a wuss that I can barely hold him and my surgery was Tuesday

Also what is it with LOs and knowing the second you even think to move them from your chest/arms to a sleeper/crib that they are WIDE awake?!?!? It's almost creepy.

Oh my god this creature. Why is the left boob so easy and the right is always a battle? He acts hungry but shakes his head when I offer, once he does finally latch he only wants to do it halfassed. Even if I force him to get a good mouthful at first, he will pull back and push with his hands until he's at a point where every suck is a pinch. And he claws at the breast, just for good measure. And drops and tries to relatch every minute or so. I've tried different holds but no magic yet. Instead I just finish the 4 minutes in tears, having uttered phrases I thought would come quite a bit later, like Eat It Or Don't Complain To Me If You're Hungry.

Almost made it 5 hours before waking up! LO is definitely starting to have a nighttime schedule of her own making. I also have company during this feeding which is unusual. Normally they stay in bed with DH

Thanks everyone! They have no idea what was going on because it looked bad but everything looks just fine now. He may end up having an outie belly button. They looked at it and then cleaned him up and the little guy didn't even flinch so obviously it wasn't bothering him and almost looks like it did before. It really worried me when the triage nurse came in and didn't even let us go to the waiting room and rushed us to a room in front of an entire waiting room full of people.

We just need to watch it now and let them know if it happens again. Kids, they'll make ya crazy!

Interesting day and night. Cooper slept most of the day.
He ate really great at 7:00 and then was wide awake till 9:30. Around 10:30 i tried waking himto eat, it took me 45 mins to get him to nurse 10 mins.
I pumped thr other side and went to hed.

He got up ay 1:15 crying to eat. I put himonthe boob, he kept falling asleep. 2 days ago i couldn't get him to sleep for more than an hour, now i cant get him to wake up.

The 6 week growth spurt can suck my toenails. It is making my happy baby who was sleeping up to 8 hours at night a cranky starving monster. Night 3 of waking at 11:30, 2, 4:30, and I'm sure 6:30.

What a horrific night. I've been up since 1am... Not with LO. But with horrible mastitis pain and ulcer pain. The antibiotics my OB called in tonight are making me have horrible bowel issues which is only making my ulcer pain worse. I can't feed LO without too much pain so I've been pumping. I really don't know if I can make it out of the bathroom long enough to pump so now I'm engorged. I just want to cry.

Not crazy. I dream like that all the time. Sometimes I lay down nursing and there's times I'll be dreaming he's in the bed. I'll wake up looking for him in the bed and start freaking out bc I can't find him. Then I realize he's in his chair still and I haven't fed him yet.

I've been so tired I don't realize I put LO in the bassinet of swing and wake up freaking out because she's gone. My DH thinks I'm crazy.

Words are really hard at 4am. I've had to go back and fix so many mistakes in this little post before I could actually post it.

Just woke to feed. I was really fucking excited bc I thought his last feed was at 11 and he had slept 5.5 hours. Nope, DH fed him 2 hours ago. Dammit.

I'm up feeding and changing DD2, and DD1 woke up (in our bed) and started crying for her cup inches from DH's head. Naturally, he continued to sleep. So I threw a cold, wet wipe at his bare back. Worked like a charm, plus it made me feel better. Hey, it was clean.

Not sure if 6:30 am is motn anymore...but ds has gotten up at 1:15,4:30, 5:45
I feel so frustrated whrn hr gets up, only to fall asleep at the boob 5 mins later.
I wake him up and try and get himto do 10 more mins. Then he spits up and looks so sad

Im also feeling bad for myself as dh got out of bed, went to the bathroom and then down to the couch.

Its nothing but this morning it just sort of made me sad. I guess i miss physical closeness yet i feel embarrassed to ask for it for some reason.
Dh is already so worried about me emotions wise i dont want him to feel worse.

Holy shit. I'm a moron. Totally forgot I had those Summer swaddle blankets finally found them in DS nursery ... He slept for FOUR hour stretches!!!

Why the eff am I still awake? LO went to sleep at around 8:30, and it's now past midnight, and I could've slept. Of course my mind chooses to be wired the one night he decides to actually sleep. And now he's waking up...fml

DS just woke up at 12:15 after last eating at 7:45 and falling asleep at 8. I wish every night was like this. Hopefully he gives me another long stretch tonight!

I've been sitting in this glider for an hour and a half so far. She'll fall asleep for 2 minutes, then wake up crying. Gave her the Colic Calm to help with gas....here's hoping it works.

Ugh. Little one has been up every two ours since going down at seven. I'm exhausted because he was fussy all day. Plus my sweet cat keeps rubbing up against me and all I keep doing is pushing her away and yelling at her which causes LO to latch off.

First MOTN feeding here because I didn't go to bed until 1am. I'm an idiot. LO was so restless all day yesterday. She didn't want to be put down but wasn't comfortable being held. She didn't sleep very well at all. Hopefully the rest of the night goes a little better because after this morning's argument with DH I will be not be waking him up anymore for help.

H is finally home. He works nights, and being a truck driver he's been getting back every other day. Usually it's 1 or 2 days a week not 3 like this week.

I thought good, he can help me tonight, and see why I broke down when he got home this morning... And our lo decided to sleep 6 hours. First time ever. Little turkey!

Now she will probably nurse forever.

4:40 here. LO has been such a fussy sleeper lately. He'll be out but making crying/whining noises so I will be up just staring at him and waiting for him to wake up. But this can go on for hours. I'm getting less sleep now. What is the deal kid?? Just sleep peacefully please.

@tigger99‌ That's not horrible. I do it too. They'll let us know when they're really hungry and want to eat.

I have to confess I prefer bottle feeding and pumping MOTN rather than breastfeeding. I EPd for a week so nipples can heal but have transitioned this last week to EBF during day. I tried breastfeeding last night but he nursed for an hour and I had to pump anyway since just ate off one side so took much longer than bottle and pump.

@Bella2425‌ take your LO ton the dr. My pedi says they always want to see baby, even if he has a cold, as soon as possible, just to check them out and make sure they're doing ok. My LO got a cold at 2 weeks and he is a month old now, still getting over it. Newborns are just so little, that my pedi says I really shouldn't have anyone around him until he's 6 weeks and he shouldn't have gone out in public until 2 months. My situation is slightly different, because he has a heart condition, but they still want to see newborns regardless.

@PintoBean77‌ I think out babies are twinsies. My LO always sleeps for a long stretch around 1pm also, and is usually in bed around 9. As of late he had also only really been taking naps on me and not for very long. I was afraid to swaddle during the day because I thought that would mess up he slept at night, but it didn't, and I swaddle him in the daytime now, as well. He is one month now, and actually shows me sleepy cues, so I have to swaddle and out him to sleep in his cradle within 30 mins, or he will be awake for hours.

It's almost 2pm here, but I feel as tired as if its the middle of the night. My eyes keep crossing while I'm reading posts!!

come on G, finish up and let's go take a nap. Also DH called mat leave me "sitting on my ass", so I told him the girls were his tomorrow and gave him a rough breakdown of their schedule, I'll just sit back and watch all hell break loose.
