This FitBit is making me super competitive. I just walked over 2.5 miles roundtrip at lunch to pick up lunch and bring it back to the office. I was frustrated yesterday because I got nowhere near 10,000 steps, so I was determined to do it today. Almost 7,000 steps and it's only 2:30 pm. This is a good thing. I'm so sedentary otherwise.
@GraceInCA thanks for the amazon tip!! Found a few for my sister.
Quick question, do you burn them or just put them on your wrists etc?
With very few exceptions, you should never just put essential oils straight onto your skin. You should use a carrier oil. I find that coconut oil works best because the fragrance is mild (and goes away quickly), so the essential oil scent really comes through. Jojoba is a good carrier oil too.
Disclaimer: I really only use them for scent, not for any therapeutic purposes. But smelling them does make me happy. The ones I seem to use most often are grapefruit, ylang ylang, and myrrh.
Ok, so now I know why so many toys are getting destroyed. I just caught M sitting on the rug in front of the dog forcing toys into her mouth. The poor dog refused several times until finally giving in to the peer pressure
Of the meat variety that is. So, whenever I make them myself and try to cook them, I get flat edges. How do you prevent that while ensuring an even cooking?
@sctiger - That's really obnoxious that they're making you keep her home! Our daycare only requires that they stay home for 24-hours after a fever breaks. They do call for fevers lower than I would prefer, though. They've called me to pick him up when it was 99 or 100 and I had already told them that he had immunizations the previous day. I'm glad your husband can stay home tomorrow!
After devouring the tapioca that I made on Tuesday in less time than I took to make it, I made a double recipe today. Since I had some extra I decided to offer LO a taste. He was seriously unimpressed.
Win! More for me :-D
And because I feel bad not saying anything, I hope all the sick babies feel better!
Also hugs for @subliminalrabbit - feel free to vent away! It sounds like things have been rough for you lately. I hope having your Mom around makes things better!
Hello... candychicago here. Long warning. After my family vaca in Hawaii ive been trying adjust. My little guy stayed on chgo time which was great coming home but he like OP have mentioned started a week of sleep regression. Tonight was the first in a week that he just layed down without crying. He had a cold given to him by daycare. The daycare provider told me he was full of mucus but didn't want me to keep him home. I asked her if other children were I'll agree said yes... this is the third time asking her to tell me if there are other I'll children. She's quick to say he's not able to come to daycare. My husband is looking for a job. I can say it's great having him home. He cooks dinner daily, clean, does the laundry and pick up J from dc. I am having a hard time adding pictures to the site via phone.
Fuck fuck fuck shit!!! My worst fear just happened. I was walking down my stairs because Jameson woke up and just fell, from the top to the bottom. Shouldn't have tried to catch myself cause I tweaked my shoulder. Now I'm all paranoid and going to be awake for hours monitoring myself. Please send good vibes that I don't start bleeding/ having contractions.
Thank you ladies. Called the dr and they just said I need to watch out for timeable contractions for the next 2 hours, if they start they want me to head straight to L&D. If nothing happens they just want me to come into the office tom so they can double check things and make sure all is good.
Morning ladies. I'm feeling ok. Super sore. My shoulder is killing me and my left butt cheek is swollen and bruised. I'll head to the dr after I drop my DD off at school to check on things. No contractions or bleeding and lil man was moving around. Thanks again for the good vibes.
I just bought these shoes (DSW Online). My college homecoming is next week and we will be going out on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. Now I need to find a hot black dress to wear them with.
Back from the dr! Lil man is fine and content. I've been told to take it easy and take Tylenol to help ease the pain in my shoulder. Can't sit right thanks to the awesome bruise I got but I'm thankful that all is good.
@sctiger We have given Isla two doses a day of the culturelle for kids when she has bowel issues. It seems to do the trick. I just mix it into her milk or oatmeal or something.
We do the Yotoddler yogurt. I can't seem to find whole milk plain yogurt around here.
Hope she is on the mend soon!
The only plain whole milk yogurt I've found at our normal grocery store is big tubs of Cabot's. I mix it with the yo toddler.
@subliminalrabbit side note, I just finished binge watching Dexter a week ago. The girl who plays his sister annoyed me, her facial expressions always seem forced/fake. Your GIF reminded me of this annoyance.
The amazon play kitchen for $40 is up right now on amazon for anyone who has missed it the past few days. Some awesome bump ladies alerted me today so I didn't miss it again and I got it!!!
Now...will I be able to save it for her until Christmas? ??!!!
Gah! Jameson is all boy and sometimes it's freaking gross! He just climbed up on the couch and acted like he wanted to give me a kiss. He leaned in, stopped about an inch shy of my face and smiled. Right as I leaned in the rest of the way he burped!! Right into my mouth and then laughed about it. I didn't even get my kiss.
I have no idea what I am sick with. Allergy-type symptoms this morning and throwing up at lunch time. I'm so tired...if I wasn't also on my period I would totes thing I was pregnant, but it's probably just Ebola
DD has been Whitney and clingy all damn day. Understandably so with the sore throat. I just threw her in the bath and am sitting outside the bathroom door bumping while she entertains herself.
Wait, your baby is in the bath and you are outside of the bathroom?
uhh...yea we kind of need to know this answer. because that's not ok

I think I'm sick, I can't stop sneezing. It's making being productive very difficult.

Anyone else with a zip have their calories burned count be all wonky?
Any ideas how to reset it so it's more accurate?
Looks like I'll be adding snaps to them to make them tighter in the waist.
Now...will I be able to save it for her until Christmas? ??!!!
