Thanks ladies. I'll be passed it as of 9:42am. I definitely have mixed feelings about it. It is exciting to get to be more pregnant than I was with Noah, but it's also sad that I never made it farther than this. Also, today is the one year anniversary of the day we got Noah's fatal diagnosis.
@JM0848 I personally wouldn't, but I also had my oldest at 33w.
@FLFishOutOfWater you know I was thinking of a speech therapist. I babysit today for a local doctor but of course he worked overnight last night and is upstairs sleeping all day or I'd ask his recommendation lol
@crunchymamaof2 @JenLa21 yeah I'll just "suck it up" and plan it I'm always just so afraid no one will come and my efforts will be for nothing lol
Since we just registered & I can't stop editing...I've been debating "to pack n play or not to pack n play". I'm going back through the "STM" thread with advice on what is a must or bust and it's much less overwhelming now! Loving all the feedback in that thread.
Hope everyone has great days & good luck to those with appointments!
18w today!!
pmv81 I have been doing the exact same, I must go through and edit things a couple times a week. Do you happen to have a link to that thread? I have searched for it and looked but can't find it. I know I am going to be changing it a million times, it just helps me decide how I want everything to be when I see it all in that nice list.
@meladoriestar google the symptoms and see how you stack up. They tested me for asthma because I was like wtf I can't get a full breath in. The pulmonologist diagnosed me and said it's very common in younger to middle aged women. He gave me one round of Xanax and it was a lifesaver. It was such a low dose that I took before bed I was able to wean myself off by the time the dosage ran out. But it comes back in waves for days at a time. It fucking sucks. This is the third day so far and I can't focus on anything cause I'm just thinking about my next full breath.
@janda426 I'm going to go look this up...I have always had the same symptoms of not being able to take a full breath and it always gets diagnosed as anxiety. How can I have anxiety when I'm asleep!? I just never thought about it being anything else!

So yesterday I spent the entire time catching up on what was going on, on the board.
So I never got to post: We're having a girl!!!
Super excited. Love ultrasounds and getting to see the baby move around so much (and get SO big compared to the last one!)
Here's my fun for the week: We got all our stuff packed and put on the cargo container on Tuesday. Just after it leaves I realized that I packed ALL my clothes (like everything except what I was wearing). Yeah, pregnancy brain and the worst possible time! I'll now be waiting 2-3 months to see those clothes, so I need to go buy stuff to tide me over.
@mangomimosa You posted in yesterday's random but I am sooooo over yesterday so I'm replying here.. Lunch with my dad went well! I told him he's having a grandson and he said he's too young to be a grandpa (he's in his 60's!). Then he joked about telling my step-mom (who wants nothing to do with me) that she's going to be a "granny" which made us both laugh. I think he's excited, he just doesn't show a lot of emotion. Thank you for asking!
@pmv81 / team PNP here! DD slept in it until 6 months, then it became a playpen so I could do housework or take a shower until she was walking, and we still use it when traveling or visiting family.
My random for today.. I don't remember what it feels like to get a full night's sleep. I got woken up this morning by SO pushing my leg out of the way. Umm I slept like that most of the night and you're just now deciding that you need more room?! Thank you for waking me up. We ended up bickering about it and I just slid all the way over to the edge of the bed. Then I decided to look at the clock and started to get up because it was less than 10 minutes before my alarm. He was like, "what, you're going to sleep on the couch now?" I was like, no you just woke me up and my alarm is going to go off in 10 minutes anyway so I'm just going to get up.
DAMNIT MAN! Can't a pregnant lady get some sleep around here?!
Haven't read through the thread yet but I have a random to add.
I have been wearing the same 2 maternity pants and a couple of dresses cuz that's all I have that can be considered maternity wear and my SO doesn't want me "suffocating" the baby. Well, today I finally got really tired of wearing the same 2 pairs of pants so I decided to put on one of my pre-pregnancy pants and they still fit!! But I like to ask my SO if he's ok with anything I do that involves our unborn baby, so I did. At first he said no because the midwife said not to wear tight clothes but I told him and showed him the pants aren't tight. Then he said ok. And now I'm kinda regretting wearing these dumb pants. I got so used to my comfy maternity pants, I miss them and their stretchy belly band!
Thanks @Darbie914 and @totesmcgotes for the advice. I've just been using the bathroom in front of her and telling her mommys going to go potty. Now she will push me to the toilet wanting me to potty for her on demand and the past few times she's tried to climb in my lap. So I think she's ready for a potty of her own to sit on, and hopefully things will go from there!
@JM0848 - my H has an important trip in Jan that I asked him to cancel. I am just not comfortable with either of us being out of town within 6 weeks of the birth. He agreed - he would be devastated if he missed it. We have both had to make personal and professional sacrifices.
I also polled my colleagues. The majority stop traveling overseas or even long domestic trips within 6 weeks of their SO due date.
I have been trying to jump back in to posting. I don't even know where to start. I am so upset with the way our board is handling things. Every thread is overflowing with unnecessary bullshit.
Anyhoooooo. I am going to eat a bowl of cinnamon sticky bun ice cream with honey swirls! Compete Yum =P~ Then lay with my cats in bed for the rest of the day watching Criminal Minds.

Someone posted a thread from WTE earlier and I look there sometimes... I just found a "should I throw my own baby shower?" Thread and the replies are RIDICULOUS!!! I never realized how many people are so selfish! The overwhelming consensus is "you're working hard to grow this baby and should do what makes you happiest as the mother" I just can't even
The lodged stone miraculously Disappeared and all of my numbers are back to normal. That was the one of immediate concern, but there is still the question of what to do about my Gall bladder full of stones. So after a 14 hour stay in the ER, a 4 hour ambulance ride, and an overnight stay at a hospital that's more like a hotel, they are deciding whether they will just let me go home, do the procedure anyway, or just go ahead and remove my gall bladder. Thank God for good insurance.
I can't imagine a serious scenario where I'd ever have to ask my H permission to wear a certain article of clothing. He pretty much just respects that I'm an adult who can dress myself and won't wear something if it's not comfortable..
@luvsponies we used a PNP for our LO to sleep. We didn't get a bassinet. We just used the PNP for 8 weeks and then transitioned into his crib.
This is us too. ((Why is this font jacked up? Or is it my eyes??)) We used the PnP in our room until Haden was ready for his crib then moved him. Now we just use it for travel or when we need to stash an overnight guest on the air mattress in his room. Nice that it folds away and hides in the closet when we don't need it instead of having to be stored in the basement or something.
This is our plan as well. We already bought our PnP thanks to a PSA thread a few weeks ago and it being 40% off on Amazon (go Prime!). It was too good to pass up.
I am trying to make an effort to eat all the foods I like right now so the babe will like them too (I heard he can taste through the amniotic fluid but not sure how true that is).
I'm eating all the spice, bagels, Brussel Sprouts, peaches, pears, and orange juice now so I will have a buddy to eat with - but for some reason don't feel guilty that I am purposefully staying away from food that my H loves and I don't (like chicken and cheese on EVERYTHING (uo)). I plan on returning to vegan eating after the babe is born - but can't get enough red meat right now - so that is probably my compromise.
Posting and running, but today is me and DH's 3rd wedding anniversary! I spent this morning at my OB's for my 18 week appointment. I heard the hb (150's) and the sequential screen came back with very very low chances, she said "practically negative". They did find ketones in my urine, which either means I didn't eat or drink enough this morning. I've been so busy running around today that I probably didn't.
I bought a nice cake that's my "gift" to DH (well, lets face it, for me and DD too ) It's a buttercream with leonidas roses (our wedding flower) and is spiced flavored; just like our wedding cake. I can't wait to dive into it tonight.
We have reservations for our favorite upscale, modern Italian restaurant. I was talking about it a few weeks ago, but they have this awesome cheese plate with breads and dipping jams. It's heaven. I will eat all the cheese for you ladies.

I love your take on baby tasting what you eat. It's a nice comforting thought.

How do you think we should have handled things? I admit some posters didn't handle things the best way, but I think we were also handed a steaming pile of bullshit days in a row...
Ha. Only comment my SO had made about my clothing is that he can't touch my belly properly when I wear my maternity sleep pants. He says it's like i'm in a cocoon.

If I asked my H what I should wear - he would say go naked. I have decided pants are uncomfortable and don't wear them at home. He is happy. He doesn't care what I wear - as long as I am happy and comfortable in it. He knows I would never do something that I thought would be be risky to myself or the baby...and he knows better than to give his input on things to do with my body.

@MrsLaurenandDan Congrats on passing your milestone!
We found out we're having a girl...and we got a picture of her yawning.

Also, E is crazy whiney today. I think I'm being pretty patient though.
Uh, there was more to post but I got distracted by the stupidity of one grown adult telling another grown adult what to wear.
