Haven't read through the thread yet but I have a random to add.
I have been wearing the same 2 maternity pants and a couple of dresses cuz that's all I have that can be considered maternity wear and my SO doesn't want me "suffocating" the baby. Well, today I finally got really tired of wearing the same 2 pairs of pants so I decided to put on one of my pre-pregnancy pants and they still fit!! But I like to ask my SO if he's ok with anything I do that involves our unborn baby, so I did. At first he said no because the midwife said not to wear tight clothes but I told him and showed him the pants aren't tight. Then he said ok. And now I'm kinda regretting wearing these dumb pants. I got so used to my comfy maternity pants, I miss them and their stretchy belly band!
Dude.
SMH.
I think if I tried to ask DH whether he "approved" what of I was wearing in the morning - relative to my outfit's safety for our baby - he'd ask if I'd been sleep-drinking.
Haha if I tried to ask SO if something was ok to wear he would look at me like I had another head growing out of my body and prob say something smart like "it doesn't look any different from what you wore yesterday" haha

@luvsponies most PNPs now have a bassinet attachment, so the baby is higher up, and it's not like they're all the way down on the floor. So it's kind of the best of both worlds, since you can actually use it for much longer than a bassinet. So if you decide to get one, I would definitely recommend on with the bassinet feature. Here's just one I saw on Walmart.com
@luvsponies This is my first newborn, but judging by what others have said and recommended, it seems like that is our best option. We're currently in a 2 bedroom apartment, and SO's DD has the other room, so baby will be sleeping in our room for the first few months. Our lease is up at the end of May so I figure that's our simplest option.
Oh, I remembered the other thing I was going to say. Those of you describing the breathing issues happening only at night (I know that isn't what you all are saying), you might want to check out sleep apnea before any other avenue.
I have told my SO from the get-go that he reminds me of Jim Carrey. He makes faces JUST LIKE HIM and noises and he's ridiculously funny. But I am pretty partial to my SO.. :x
I have been trying to jump back in to posting. I don't even know where to start. I am so upset with the way our board is handling things. Every thread is overflowing with unnecessary bullshit.
Anyhoooooo. I am going to eat a bowl of cinnamon sticky bun ice cream with honey swirls! Compete Yum =P~ Then lay with my cats in bed for the rest of the day watching Criminal Minds.
How do you think we should have handled things? I admit some posters didn't handle things the best way, but I think we were also handed a steaming pile of bullshit days in a row...
I think a good step back might have helped. I'm not saying all posters were handling things wrong but most could have used a slight break. Aren't we always saying get off the Internet for a little and breath. What I was reading was filled with extreme tension and letting the poking get under the skin. It doesn't need to be drawn out as long as it has. I have seen issues resolved here in a matter of minutes but why are we letting it continue? The ladies here offer so much support and love to each other I'm just taken aback at how we have let others come and disrupt as they have. What happened to just being the bigger person and walking away? March 15 is too strong and intelligent to let this carry on. Screw the other bsc posters and don't let them change the tone of this board and turn us against each other.
Yesterday's hdbd thread was horrible to read through....It was a shit show and for no reason at all. All I'm trying to say really is pick your battles. Now we are left dealing with mod quits and discussions.
I know there is a great divide on this and I don't mean to offend anyone with my opinion. I'm not looking to start trouble and am only trying to say "can't we all just get along?!" ::Waves white flag in air::

For those of you that work from home, how did that come about? Did you start off in the office and make the move to WFH or was it WFM right from the start?
I started in the office, worked in the office for slightly over 3 years and then was offered the opportunity to go home.
My random is my week stretch of no unisom SUCCESSFULLY....seems to be coming in an end. I woke up this morning three hours before I had to get up and couldnt fall back to sleep. Blahhhh
I hope everyone is having a good day so far with lots of good lunch plans! I'm planning to hit up a vegetarian buffet with my husband (who doesn't like veggies! ).
I have been very unproductive this whole week. I have no motivation to work. We have a meeting at 1:30 then I'll go shopping for Saturday event and probably go home.
I'm just doing a drive by right now, and will try to catch up later, but I just need to AW about my relief. My sweet 3 yr old DD has had some weird symptoms lately that were suggestive of diabetes. I obviously freaked out at the possibility because I've seen what that kind of diagnosis at such a young age can do to people's long term physical and mental health. Well, happily, I took her to the doctor this morning, and she is fine. She has a more minor medical issue, which should be totally manageable and temporary. I am SOOOOOOO relieved.
Also had a good prenatal appointment earlier this week. So thankful for my 2 healthy girls...
Aw question, sorry I just want true opinions and it's hard to get that irl. So when I was 20 I decided getting some dermal piercings on my face of all places would be super awesome. Fast forward 12 years and I'm feeling a little silly but if I take them out I will have 3 craters right under my left eye that'll be very noticeable. They are 3 little stars under my eye I'll post a pic. My question is: if you were me and had made this poor decision in the first place, would you remove them and just deal with the scars or would you keep them even into your 30's? Ugh FWP, any input would be greatly appreciated
I don't feel like starting a new thread but have a question. I just saw a video on how to make homemade baby wipes. Does anyone on here make their own baby products? I'm considering starting this not just for baby but for counters.

Are you looking at getting rid of them because you no longer like them, or because of social norm? If you like them, they're not bothering you, and aren't at risk of losing your job for them, I don't see a need to remove them. If you no longer care for them, then I feel you would be able to cover up pretty easily with some makeup.

I'm going to be trying cloth diapers (did I mention I found a freakin diaper that has dragons?? I Hyenacart and whoever mentioned it!), so I was planning cloth wipes as well. I hadn't decided whether to make my own, but would be curious about the process from those who do.
We have been stuck in 80 or 90 degree weather for so long I can't remember what 65 feels like. We're going to Dallas for the OU v. Texas game and it will be in the 60's for the morning when we are tailgating. I am just trying to figure out what to pack for us tonight and if my son needs a jacket or just a light sweater.
@DragonflyDreaming and @ToasterCat if I'm honest with myself, it's definitely because I'm worried that I look silly to others because of my age. My sister had some and her scars are pretty noticeable and I don't need anymore skin flaws thanks to my years of acne in my 20s. I know I shouldn't care what others and especially strangers think, it's just easier said than done for me. After your responses I'm leaning toward maybe keeping em, I was kind of anticipating everyone hating em

My thoughts are if you don't plan to have them when you're 75 and you're over them you may as well take them out now...

I did this a couple times with DD. I used paper towels and a mixture of water, baby soap, and coconut oil, I think. I liked them, but for some reason they got funky/moldy super fast so I went back to Babyganics. That said, Babyganics seems to have recently changed their formula and I hate it... Too soapy or something.

I'm home sick today. I can't breathe at all and I think my head may explode. At least I can take all of the sinus meds?

Is 65 degrees light sweater weather??
