Thanks for putting up with my cooking amateurity, RTT. One more question! The recipe I followed says "the thickest part will be quite pink (it's just fine!)" Below are pictures (first with flash, second without). Is it done or not? :-/
There's a way to tell meat doneness by the way it feels compared to your hand, although I'm not sure if it would work for what you are making (are those pork chops or a roast?) anywho, here's a link. I've used this in the past and it works!
Is it against TOS to put your IG/Twitter/all that kind of crap in your signature, or is that considered advertising? Figured it'd be easier that way if anyone wants to get a hold of me or something, but not if it's gonna get me banned. XD

@christinanoelle I'm so glad you're back! I was thinking about you the other day and how you helped me with LO's sleep stuff back in the day. Hope you're well!
Aww thanks Dani! I've been lurking and have been happy to read that he's doing well (hope that doesn't make me too much of a creeper haha)
@edoliesmom did you let the meat rest for a few minutes? Sometimes after 10-15 minutes sitting on the counter it gets less pink. In my opinion, if it doesn't get less pink Id still put it in the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
It's just after 8 and I usually pump at 9:30ish. I'm seriously considering skipping my night pumping session and just sleeping. I know I'll be so engorged in the morning if I do though. And my pumpin pals came in so I really want to try them. But I'm so tired! Grrrr

They moved my office at work so I am now in a cubicle and I can't check my phone nearly as much as I used to... which is when I did all of my best bumping
and then I get home and take care of goomba and immediately pass out from exhaustion and do it all over again!!
Tell them to move you back! we miss you!!!

@purespark - I'm guessing it's a combination of typos/not caring. She only cares about the project as a whole, so it doesn't matter to her whether it's against one workorder or another (and she's basically said that to me in so many words). I tried being sympathetic on this particular project because there are a ridiculous amount of workorders (over 20 I think?) but that sympathy needs to go two ways!!
I need to drink an entire bottle of wine tonight. Anybody want a dog? He's a little clingy, but great with LO's. He just likes to pee in the house from time to time... X(

Liking out of solidarity. I used a gift certificate this morning for an amazing massage, but I'vehada freaking killer headache since about noon because of my clingy ass whining dog.
Now I need to ask a silly question or two... What do you do with almond butter? Is it a spread like peanut butter? And do you normally heat the fruit pie?

@ashleypixie your confession made me so sad. You're not needy. Please come to us more. You're ALWAYS supportive of us all least you can do is let us support you
Oh my gosh, that doneness hand test is awesome! Thanks @elyse4281!
ETA: @christinanoelle I let it rest for 10 minutes, and I want to say it was actually pinker afterward. I put it back in for 8 minutes, and then we just ate it. Hopefully we won't get sick. :-??

A girl on my Facebook just posted that her 13 month old son bit four other toddlers today. She said, "They told me he even chases them with his mouth open. [insert crying laugh face here] I know it's not funny, but I just can't help but laugh, lol."
My first thought was, "I'm pretty sure the other parents aren't laughing, and I don't think they'd appreciate that you are either."

@3crazykitties I worked in daycare for 4 years, and I've never met a parent that took it lightly. We had to "expel" an 11 month old because she would for some reason target just one little boy, and she ended up biting a chunk out of his face!
I really do hope he gets bitten soon so she can see what it's like. I didn't plan on saying anything, but it's hard not to judge! She's a teen mom, and she posts drama sometimes. It's annoying.

Is anyone else experiencing changing hormones again? My hair keeps going super greasy fast. I'm sweaty and hot all the time and I'm having to use DH's deodarant bc mines just not cutting it. Uh I'm over it.
I'm breaking out like I'm 16 again does that count? Greasy hair also.
I stayed up and pumped. Watched my show and did no work which I'll regret tomorrow but at least I got some relaxing 'me' time so that was nice. The pumpin pals are pretty good. Definitely less pain which is awesome sauce, but I pumped the same amount as usual. One side did get a little pinchy so I think I need to experiment with the sizes a bit. Overall, I'm happy though

@rtv3 for the first week of using pumping pals I actually saw a decrease. But then my output slowly went up. Supposedly it takes a bit to retrain your response to a different flange.
This is what I was going to say. It may take a bit to get used to them before you see any potential increase. Yay for you time!
Right now, with 4 pumping sessions a day (sometimes 5 if she STTN) I'm pumping right around what she takes at the babysitter. I have a small freeezer stash and my MIL sometimes supplements with formula on the one day she watches her, so I'm not super desperate, but every ounce counts! My goal is to be able to stop pumping at my birthday (end of Feb) and have enough saved milk to get her through 1 year on BM, just nursing mornings and evenings. But we'll see

@poru The 11 month old was a walker (her mom said she had been walking since 7 months, so she could walk really well. She could even run [quickly walk?]! Never seen that before in my life.) who was biting a crawling 7 month old. She bit only him and neither of the other 2 kids in the class. We tried everything to redirect her or prevent it altogether for a week or so, but the afternoon teachers let it happen again so she was expelled. It was a hard decision for the director to make, but the mom of the bitten boy had had enough once blood was drawn. The afternoon teacher got moved into another room as well.

I've been afraid to weigh myself because I thought I put on weight. I decided to just do it since I hadn't had anything to eat yet and actually remembered... I've lost 3 pounds! My first reaction? I need to scarf a couple pounds of food down. Give me all the food! Nomnomnom!
Also, it feels amazing outside. I love autumn. 8->
