That was interesting...

Our 2 hour teleconference training got cut short by a 6.1 earthquake here that lasted about 40 seconds. We were on the phone with people from Tennessee, California and Colorado when it started to shake. At first it was light, my boss says "Hold on a moment, we're having an earthquake." Then it really began to rumble.

He says "Everyone under the table! We'll call you back" and disconnects the line.

Everyone is fine and our training is rescheduled for Monday.

Enjoying my family time! Now an interesting thing is that my husband has gained weight. He wants to bulk up, but I don't like it. I like him skinny and very defined.
We leave on Sunday to go to AL and see his family. I'm not looking forward to it. They are super crazy!

A million posts behind.
DD fell asleep in her carseat a half hr before bedtime. She's been sleeping for about 20 minutes and I don't know what to do - let her sleep or try to transfer to crib. Either way this is probably going to totally mess up her sleep tonight

Poor DS was riding his balance bike yesterday and fell onto the top bar, ending up with a most unfortunate injury. I got home and was greeted with him saying "Mommy, I hurt my penis!" He appeared to be OK, until he had to pee.

Poor guy got a cut on his foreskin right at the tip. Every time he pees he ends up screaming, crying and shaking. He was doing that in bed last night because he was trying to hold his pee and then would let it go into his pull up. DH ended up taking him to the emergency room last night to make sure he didn't have a ruptured testicle (luckily, he doesn't.)

DH stayed home with both of the kids today, because the ER recommended that we put him into a warm bathtub of water to pee. Not sure if it helps. The first time we tried, he wouldn't relax enough to pee, and the second time he let go before we could get enough water in the tub to help.

I feel so bad for him. I remember how much it hurt after I tore when DS was born, and I'm old enough to know that he pain will be temporary.

I was talking to him on the phone this morning and he says "My penis still hurts, Mommy." Then a moment later he follows it up with "Sometimes, these things happen."

Such a little man!

LO grabbed my finger to chew on this afternoon, and something pinched me. It took a second, then dawned on me. He's cut some teeth! Not looking forward to them making their full appearance.
