I feel guilty when DH does certain chores but I am starting to think he does it so he doesn't have to entertain Liam. I told him I would do dishes and he said I cooked dinner so he would do dishes, next thing I know he is cleaning entire kitchen.

When Riley was little DH would go to Costco. Clearly he was doing a boring errand like grocery shopping because he thought it helped. I finally told him I should go to Costco for a break! I've definitely posted about weekend break downs and trips to Starbucks just so I could walk by myself.

For us it was a communications thing.

I'm in the DH does errands/time to self/the things that don't involve the kids after I've had them all alone all week club as well. I have been very clear what I need/want, but it is pretty much always the same. Yesterday I was in the mood to do something about the mess and had enough energy - and LO didn't want anything to do with DH. Some of this is his fault though - he doesn't do any of her normal care or play. And when she is fussing he just sits there and says,"Name, came here, come play.". Get her. Engage her. Take her out of the house if you need to. Also driven nuts by the lack of common sense (ie I'm cooking and she's screaming to be picked up - pick her up). I'm sorry so many others have this frustration as well @juliedave151‌ @maryannespier‌ @Rmnam1‌ @jennipalmer and all others. Hugs!

This is so sweet :x . Yesterday I was giving Lily a bath and I always show her the puddle of shampoo in my hand because she laughs at the slippery texture, but yesterday she rubbed her hand in it and then put it in her own hair and rubbed it in... It was so cute (such a small thing but I thought she was such a smarty pants).

We are having a lovely day off here. It's warm and sunny and we played this morning, had lunch, lo is napping and we'll play more and go for a walk and maybe do some baking.

My mom, alex and I went to the Inn/restaurant just down the road for lunch.
OMG it was AMAZING!
Butternut squash and apple cider soup, maple glazed turkey club. YUM. Mom had the Cider and cheddar soup. Just as good. It is probably for the best that I hadn't eaten their before.

Zoe and I are going to my sister's to hang out and have dinner. DH works tonight. His weekend on. And he can get overtime next weekend! He is only taking the Subday shift otherwise he will have workes 20 days in a row and he needs a break. And that way we can take Zoe to a pumpkin patch on Saturday!

My aunt and uncle sent Alex's birthday present down with my mom. It was the Step 2 Covered Wagon. When I went to put it together last night all the uprights for the cover were missing! Returned it today for a new one. The guy at TRU told me that this has become a big issue in the last few months with all the brands. Very weird.

Tl:dr check your presents for all the pieces.

If I had a clogged duct and it's not clogged anymore should my boob still feel tender? I'm not actually sure it's unclogged but Silas ate off it a bunch and I've been massaging it.

Mine was sore for a day or 2 after my clog was clear. I think it was just sore and sensitive from me massaging and hand expressing so much to clear the clog.

Pickle's new thing is cleaning. She keeps handing me items she finds on the floor so I can put them away. It's so freaking adorable and it's actually helpful! She figured out how to open her wipes, and has been using the wipes to WIPE things down. I found her polishing the coffee table. I don't know where she picked that up since I'm kind of a slacker X_X

Also super helpful? She almost always waits until we're home to poop. Maybe it's a comfort thing, but I so appreciate not having to deal with public restroom changing tables.

Oh no @LadyBlue07 that sucks! She had a nasty poop once a while ago, and not only did I have only a couple of wipes, the restroom we were in was out of TP. I used her socks to clean up the rest (and threw them away!) She was wearing booties so it was nbd to get rid of socks.

Yes! She hates having dirty hands. I taught her how to dust her hands off by rubbing them together, and she does it after touching almost anything now. Pickle loves to put stuff in the bin on hamper (even stuff that does not belong there.. like food items..). If she touches something she can't figure out how to remove, she runs at me with her palms out while babbling unhappily. So cute. She touched wet ink the other day and was panicking that little black marks wouldn't come off her hands.

Happy Sunday mamas. Hugs and coffee and/or wine for all the mamas who are tired or whose H's deserve a visit from the nut punch bus today. Add me to the list--DH is going to his second concert in three days--he left at 2:30 so I get to do the Sunday afternoon and evening getting ready for the work week routine by myself, yay. He even skipped watching the Broncos at Seattle game with me to go

I told him--no more concerts for like a year (this is his fourth this summer). Caleb is especially fussy today for whatever reason so that makes it extra tough to have the two of them on my own. At least they're both napping right now...and I'm having a Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale while watching this game. [-O< :-SS

I actually thought about calling the cops because I wasn't sure if your model of Chevy has AC so I checked my trusty Edmunds Blue Book and found it standard on 99% of vehicles manufactured in the modern era. So I figured you should be good.

Also...I really did just google it and your car doesn't even come in a model that wouldn't have AC. So you are golden.

@missymr yes we did! The brunch buffet was still on but we decided to get the soups. No regrets! It is a good thing I didn't eat there until now. I would have gone all the time since we walk/run right past it everyday!

We had a Marnie and me afternoon. We went aaaaaal the way to the north end of the big city to the PetSmart, and got Sausage Fish a new, larger tank, and some new *pink-and-blue* rocks and *pink-and-blue* seaweed. Just waiting for the water to warm up so we can move him in. It was so cute watching her pick out all the bits for her fish.

Now we've got a stuffed chicken in the oven, and DH is going to take the kids on a bike ride, and I can get some serious chores done. I really need to hand-wash the floors. It's so sad I get excited about doing chores uninterrupted.
