LOL that sucks. Why don't you take advantage of them being there and go out for a drink or six with your husband? Dinner, a movie...whatever! They'd probably love the alone time with bébé and you could have some nice time with your husband. Good luck!
Because I don't even trust MIL with our dogs. Seriously though-- when our dog was a puppy we would take her to ILs house while DH and I went to the movies, or one time for a weekend away to visit a mutual friend at school. Dog kept getting sick (vomiting and diarrhea) and was refusing her food and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out MIL was sneaking her their dogs food rather than feeding the food I provided! She claimed that Chloe liked their food better. If she can't follow directions with a dog, there is no way in hell I am leaving her with my kid.
I have this fear that my mil would try and nurse my son. Sometimes I think it's an irrational fear and then I realize who I'm talking about.
There was an episode of Nip Tuck (guilty....pleasure?) when Shea was tiny where the nanny/main character's affair nurses their child. I'm not sure I've ever felt such a strong inclination towards violence.
PNW GTG, should we have a baby Halloween party? In other words, go somewhere with babies in costume. Someone said there is a glass blowing museum. That sounds awesome. But any GTG sounds awesome.
PS- I am shamelessly stealing/adapting this idea from the N. CA GTG. Thanks @KatieGummow
I said glass blowing museum case Tacoma would be nicer drive than Seattle from Portland
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
@mom2boxers you're in the Cinci area right? Columbus isn't that far away - heck, the outlet mall is the halfway point! (Because we all need an excuse to shop, amiright?)
@mamrotu73 thanks again for the spaghetti squash recipe! My parents and DH loved it. My mom was thrilled she could have a pasta like dinner, she was just told she may have diabetes.

Just thinkin about a14 babies all in costume together is thanks enough!

@rtv3 of course you are a fav! I wish I would have remembered to mention you. You're so kind and positive. Thanks for the compliments that was the first sleep smile captured.

You remember correctly. I didn't realize you were in Columbus. For some reason I thought you were in the Cleveland/Akron area.
I've never been to those outlets before. If they have a Carter's store I might be in trouble.
Last night dd fell sleep during the football game/ halftime show. Today she fell asleep in Twin Peaks. (Yep, it's a bar exactly like you think it is. We're so classy...). All this loud noise we decided to turn up her sound machine to see if that does anything. If this works she's going in her own bed and I'm turning the radio on!
I'm planning to tattoo Dylan's birthday in Roman numerals on my left ring finger. Im considering getting a tiny anchor somewhere on me in honor of my sister leaving for the navy soon. Not too sure about the latter yet.
Dear exchange partner, I saw your post in the secret group and you'll be getting majority of what's on your list plus things I choose personally. I'm doing shopping and shipping this week! I MAY send one thing for your little one but I kinda just wanna spoil you :-)
@MaiTaiBeth I'm sorry you waited and he won't even do it on the plus side, if he's that good, he should be able to recommend good artists to do it in his place!
DD is rolling everywhere today. I sat on one side of a blanket with her on the other and she rolled over to me...move to the other side and she rolled back. Someone is obsessed with momma!
My boy is being a hilarious little smart-ass tonight. First he spent 20 min straight giggling because his daddy was tickling his belly with his beard.
Then we finally got him calmed down and laid him in the crib awake. When I put him down awake I give him his lion taggie to keep his hands busy so he doesn't pull put his soother. Once he was quiet 5 min later I went back in to confiscate his lion, and as I pulled Leo off his face and bent to kiss him, I got 4 raspberries to the face in quick succession. He thinks he's hilarious. I had to choke back laughs.
@mom2boxers Yup, there's a Carter's there, and an Oshkosh, and I think Gymboree too... Can you tell I've been? ;-)
@elyse4281 I didn't realize you were in Cleveland area. I keep campaigning for a gtg in Columbus! It's in the middle, and means I don't have to go anywhere far. )
@Mrs.Kohalic17 I drive through SE MI all the time when going to visit my parents - I grew up in Rochester Hills, and they're still there!
So apparently I have been missing out on the awesomeness that is the RTT! I have spent the past two days trying to catch up (the beginning of Poppygate until now) and all I can say is wow!
Hugs and high fives to those that need/deserve them!
Also, I am very jealous of all of the tattoo talk. I have one for dd but nothing for DS yet. I am also working on getting one to honor my mom who beat breast cancer this year. So many ideas, so little dinero
@Vinny424 I had mine done a few months ago black with royal blue streaks. Now it is black with purple streaks. . I want a cool red but the well water here strips red so fast
I think it was SoulTermination. MF said "don't worry Jelly she's on my list too" before she posted her list. ST would be the only one that fit since she said she's creepy. But, I guess that doesn't necessarily mean that's who Jelly meant though.
February Siggy Challenge: Favorite TV couple ~ Jim & Pam
Made this delish dish today, thanks to @3crazykitties sending me @mamrotu73'a recipe and DH taking the boys and VFB on a walk. Also got to vacuum, sweep, and mop. I feel human.
To clarify: you can help and stop screaming and comfort on a plane and it keeps moving. A car ride can be very long if you have to stop a meltdown. I flew with Isla at 4 weeks and it was easy-the motion put her to sleep.
And another edit: no need for his own ticket if the flight isn't sold out and you don't think it will be. They let you bring the car seat and strap it in like a car if there is room, or you just hold and check the seat at the gate if there isn't.

OMG rage mode. I need to rewatch that series!!
Guise! I'm so excited that I got mentioned in the bump crush thread. Twice! This is a good day.
Also I love being on a real computer because I get to see all the cute siggy's. @katiegummow your boys are so cute! I love the paci pic
Also also, I can not stop ordering stuff from Shutterfly. Oi.
