Ooooh man. Just spent the last few hours making frozen breakfasts for DH to take to work and then homemade chicken alfredo for dinner. I'm pooped!

Ughhhhh is it so much to ask that he plan ONE THING, good lord. Like a dinner out? I don't even care! It can be a movie at home with Chinese food. It would just be nice to feel like he actually spent 2 seconds thinking about treating me to something.

For his 30th we went to NYC and when we got back, I surprised him with a high end cottage rental where 3 other couples met us for the weekend.

What the fuck yo. So now he's all 'let me surprise you with something, I'll think on it' and I'm all 'NO NEVERMIND THEN' like a 6 year old.

I posted that on my 30th H got me a showerhead. He also texted at 3pm to see what I wanted for dinner after I had already spent all day cooking because he hadn't mentioned dinner before. His 30th is coming up and I can't decide if I should be nice and plan something or be a bitch and do NOTHING.

Almost! Mine's the 25th, but we can't celebrate that weekend because my brother is getting married. As it turns out he invited a lot of my friends sooo maybe I'll just get shit-faced and let DH drive home like a sucker.

@Ashleypixie‌ Dylan doesn't like solids either. He looks so annoyed when I give him rice cereal. Gave him carrots and he didn't like them. He tolerated squash for a little bit. I finally caved and introduced bananas. He hated those more than all the others. Started ripping off the bib and everything.

I know! He's gonna be 7 months this thanksgiving and I plan to share my food with him. Crazy thing is he doesn't have the tongue thrust reflex he's just picky as hell. Maybe this generation I born with sophisticated pallets. They have no time for purees

Tonight is night 1 of no DH for a week and LO has a fever, Pooped EVERYWHERE while I was taking his temp, puked in the tub and then projectile vomited all his Tylenol... Why !??

Add me to the "my kid doesn't like solids" list. This face happened when we gave her some sweet potato tonight. Pretty much all of it ended up coming out of her mouth. Maybe next time!

I haven't even considered giving DS solids yet. I'm just gonna hold out until we see the pedi in October. Part of the reason is because I feel so dumb when it comes to solids.

I got the pedis ok to give solids over a month ago and I FINALLY just started. He's been mimicking my chewing everytime he sees me with food and ALWAYS tries to grab it. I think BLW may be easier for us. I'm going to try purees a few more times and if he refuses BLW it is

LO doesn't give 2 shits about food but he will try to grab every drink I have, especially beer bottles. I let him chew on the cold base of them. But then he gets hulk-angry when I take the bottle away. Silly boy.

I don't understand the point of products like Mucinex DM. Mucinex by itself is an expectorant, meaning it helps loosen all the mucus in your lungs so you can cough that shit up. The DM is dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant. If you suppress your coughs, then the expectorant is about as useful as tits on a boar hog. Why would anyone ever take them together??

In the same OTC drug vein, why do people spend gobs of money on Tylenol PM? Buy generic Tylenol and generic Benadryl. Take one of each, or two Tylenol and one Benadryl if you've got a bad headache or something. Boom, Tylenol PM, and for at least half the price.

Sorry, the pharmacy tech in me is rearing her ugly head tonight.

Sullivan is down for any and all solids so far. I'm thinking we could feed him just about anything and he'd gobble it up. Sweet potatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, butternut squash, peas, carrots, bananas.. He's all about them!

For the past 3 nights, LO has had breakdowns around 9pm (he goes to bed at 7). He cries inconsolably and just wails. He snaps out of it quickly, usually taking a boob calms him down. He is fine the the rest of the day and night. Wtf. We're stumped!
Tonight I couldn't get him to calm down but DH could a bit better. Night terror???

The expectorant can make people cough out of control until they vomit. Never affected me that way, but DH has to take it with a cough suppressant to just cough a normal amount and not puke.

I still agree I'd prefer to take them separately so I can gauge what I need, but at least there's some sense in taking those together.

Ahh, that makes sense, then. I haven't ever met anyone with that issue, that's why it never occurred to me. ^^;;

Efff! I just spilled a full glass of water all over my side of the bed and onto the power strip on the floor next to my bed. Nothing like a late night linen change and paranoia about electrocution to help me fall asleep. Now my bed is wet, so I'm sleeping on a towel
