Dude why is it Monday already. I reallylike the weekend. We spent a ton of money but it was a good weekend. Yay for a new bed come Wednesday.

It's a long day for me today as I have a meeting at church after work. Nothing else exciting going on here.

So Dhs parents are going on a trip to hawaii in febrauary. obviously im due in february.
I reminded them DD was two weeks early.

So theu are going the second week of the month. Ummm ok? That willput me at two weeks before my due date.

DD was two weeks and two days early. May this kid will do the same. Wont be my fault if they miss it.

@psychobutthead‌ I'm due feb 8, and my in laws are on vacation from feb 1-14. They keep asking if my due date had changed (like, sorry) but I'm PRAYING I deliver sometime during that timeframe. Clearly they think I timed my conception poorly, but to me it sounds just right.

Back at work after working from home for most of last week (with my Mom recovering from surgery at my house), my sister flew in from CO yesterday to take her home and I have to admit it was nice to have the house back to ourselves again.

I am actually sort of glad to be back at work and productive again, especially since this is my crazy busy time and I have two back to back events starting next week.

So my dog is on my list, yesterday early morning he decided to jump up on our bed, landing all 70lbs through a paw right on my abdomen, right below my belly button. I was feeling sore and crampy yesterday but better today so I guess he didn't earn himself a one way trip to the pound.

I am glad your mom is doing well enough @bhjones1980‌ for her to go home and you to work. Mostly because that means she is doing great!

I forgot I am flying solo for most of the day at work today. Mondays or Fridays solo usually mean insanity. Best put on my running shoes and eat a power bar.

Guyssss I slept from 12am to 6am with no potty breaks! I am the happiest little camper today! Heavenly sleep! (I did cut myself off of fluids and didn't hit my goal for water intake yesterday--- but, I slept through the night!!!!)

Today is our anatomy scan and I'm becoming more and more excited/ anxious-- hoping for lots of good news and ten fingers and ten toes

@bhjones1980‌, DS jumped on my lower abdomen first thing this morning. How hard is it to miss that one, still rather small, spot?

Holy nightmares last night! I woke up in full on panic attack first and then everyone my eyes closed after that I woke up what felt like minutes later with another nightmare. I'm going to have a tired day. Luckily, DS is pretty chill this morning.

I was not only up three times instead of my normal one or two last night, but DH stole my snoogle and threw a leg over it and I couldn't get it back. I went downstairs to the guest bedroom to pout. I'm pretty sure he didn't care.

I find it to be hilarious that the vaccination debate thread never turned into a debate.

I got to sleep into today so my Monday is off to a steller start....that will quickly go down hill in 2 hours when the vet gets to my house to give my cat his rabies vaccine. Its awful, they have to use a kitty trapper thing and he screams and the whole experience is very traumatic (for me at least). Ugh. Yay to sleeping in though!

The new school year seminars for my division start up again today. It is frowned upon if we don't go, but due to a bunch of reasons I won't list here, the timing is horrible for me. You wouldn't think 1 hr. at 9am on a Monday could so royally mess up my schedule EVERY WEEK but it soo does. blah.

Also Hs phone went off twice this morning at 2am with those stupid emergency updates for a flood warning - so now I'm tired. What a great start to the day. Only 1 more week til Jamaica. I am counting down the days.

Okay guys, I need you to all tell me to suck it up and put my big girl panties on.

Last night my SIL told us that she is pregnant with her 3rd child (8 weeks along). Both her and her husband have said in the past that they are completely done with having children (they have 2 girls) but SIL thought she might want to try for a third to have a boy. First of all, I think having another child because you want a different sex is ridiculous. Secondly, she is a "stay at home mom" but she has a nanny 2-3 days a week and relies on my MIL to watch her girls at least 2 nights a week and is constantly asking my mom if she would be willing to watch the kids. She does not really parent at all and both the kids throw temper tantrums and get whatever they want. I honestly have no idea what she does with her time other than shopping. They are loaded.

She is just over-the-top attention grabbing and I will admit of thinking that she got pregnant because I announced that I was (though I really don't think this is the case). I know that some of the feelings of resentment are just jealousy I guess but I also kind of feel bad for this baby-to-be. When I congratulated her husband and asked if he's excited he didn't even smile and goes "Uhhh, I guess." I know that if they don't have a boy they're both going to be disappointed.

I'm trying to just suck it up and be happy for them but part of me is resentful

Is it weird i keep thinking about my post baby body? When I had DD no one warned me of alk the changes my 16 year old body was going to go through.Now Im wondering what my body is going to go through this time.

Im also wanting to buy clothes now for my post baby body i guess as a motivation to loose weighr like i was before the bfp.

About kate- im just excited to see her outfits! I like her style but could never pull it off myself.

So I had to pick up extra shifts at work. We are so short staffed and 2 more will be leaving in the next few months. I picked up most of the hours that I am not in school until the end of October. Im hoping they hire some people quick!

@WanderingA‌ I'm sorry but I do understand how you're feeling. I recently found out that a family member of mine with no business having a second kid is pregnant again. She doesn't take care if the kids she has now, parties all the time, has been with this baby daddy less than a month again, doesn't have a job because she parties to much and just got evicted because she wasn't paying her bills. The current child is not in the best situation nor will the new one be but the child will still be loved and her support system will take good care of this baby. I can be excited about the baby even if I'm not so thrilled for her out that she is pregnant. Maybe focusing on the excitement of the baby will help you too.

@wanderingA I have to agree... trying to have another baby just because you want one of the other sex is ridiculous. I think it's natural to feel resentful because your more worried about the new CHILD's well being more than anything. Hopefully, regardless of the sex, they start to seem a bit more enthusiastic and I have a feeling with time your feelings of resentment will go away. I don't think it's something you need to like suck it up and be happy for them though... just put on a face when around them, but as I said, I have a feeling your feelings will subside.. it's just the initial shock of it all.

@jennhillhoite - woah. yeah that woman has NO REASON to be even thinking about having another child. it's one thing to be laissez faire about becoming a parent again, but to not even be able to provide the basics for the child you currently have is a whole different level. Luckily they have a good support system like you said.

Good morning. My plan had been to get into work and start writing my report. What am I doing? Bumping, writing an email to my old boss about my pregnancy, and trying to schedule another daycare tour.

My husband finally talked to his parents for the first time since our announcement. They very kindly offered to pay for part of the nursery. Their only question was whether we were going to do anything religious. He answered no. I wonder if they thought we were going to go all out with a Catholic baptism? (Our answer's going to be WWIII with my mom.)

We picked first names for our LOs, and never realized how hard picking names are, we kept saying how we are picking their forever names. The names we finally chose were Madison and Jackson, family and friends want his name spelled Jaxon, but that executive decision came down to us, and surprisingly neither of us wanted it that way. Now to pick middle names....

ETA: My Parents kept asking if we named them after presidents because I am obsessed with politics, lol, that was not the reason, but would I be upset if one of them became president.... Hell No!!!

Yup. Always a great day when a student in your class is escorted out by police. Thankfully admin is not interested in playing nice and having him return. I will NOT work with this person again.

ETA The sweet thing was that a bunch of the other boys were INCREDIBLY protective of me, and visibly restraining themselves from dealing with this student themselves. They all were checking on me after class to make sure I was okay.

OH MY! A friend is a first grade teacher in IL and she came home last week excited that nobody threw anything at her. I guess that really happens.

That is AWESOME about the other boys. It makes me tear up. Someone IS raising their kids right!

Oh so last night when DH was having his baby time which is talking to them and reading to them, our little girl was just moving up a storm. DH swears he felt something but he said it felt like vibration, I'm only 17 weeks and I have no clue if it was her or not, but I could feel her on the inside, and I am not going to take this away from him. He was so excited and kept talking about his little girl last night, and about how she is going to be our wild child.

I just got a call back on a job I applied to months ago. It would be an awful entry level job but would grant me experience in the field I'm working towards. Is it weird to be excited and terrified? I would be working in a mental health institution and gets no way to hide my bump until the interview process is over. I feel like the only thing going for me right now is that I'm more qualified than other applicants since I have a degree.

We just knew in our gut that Baby A was a girl and Baby B was a boy from the beginning. Seriously, from about our 9 week ultrasound. Watching their behavior was hilarious. She is constantly moving, constantly kicking her brother, constantly stubborn, etc. He is just chilling. All the time. We are both going to have our hands full @chickyclg!

@sugahcookie01 that is scary! DH is a high school teacher as while and until this year worked at a public school for 10 years. He has gotten threaten and had to break up fights and other crap. But he's a guy. I could not imagine dealing with that crap. He is now at a private school, so much different. He teaches 9th and 10th English. What do you teach?

In other news I went to the neurologist on Friday and now she wants me to get a MRI to see why I am getting headaches so often. I really doubt they will find anything, because I don't think they are any worst than others get, but my doctor insisted. More time off from work, sigh!

@kefttsc we swore up and down that our Baby B was a boy because of how active he she was. Baby A (boy) just kind of rolls around, and Baby B (Girl) has always been our show off. Even at out NT scan you could see her little feet just going a mile a minute and the Tech made the comment that Baby B needed some camera time.

Last night was night 4 of horrible back pain, so this morning I just ordered a Bump Nest pillow. They are really cute and after reading reviews, it seems like the best body pillow even though it's a splurge. It's going to be a long day at work since I'm so tired, but I also ordered my diaper bag, so at least I have exciting packages to look forward to receiving this week!
