It's only 9:52 and I'm exhausted. Had to take DD to her 2 year checkup and it stressed me out. First of all, she has had constant congestion, coughing FOREVER. She had tubes and adenoids removed in April and it was like a life changer...temporarily. 3 months later she got a chronic cough and sometimes its so bad, she chokes on the phlegm in her throat. So we are trying 2 more weeks of zyrtec and if that doesn't work we'll allergy test. Honestly, I know she has allergies... my husband had them terribly for most of his life and they are hereditary. Anyways, I'm just tired of her being sick. Here's hoping this LO gets mama's side of things.
I wanted to call in to work today. I feel so sick and tired. We were in 2 parades this weekend. We walked about 5 miles total. I feel like a wimp for getting soooo tired from that. The first parade was Saturday, it was the pet/kid parade. I dressed up my son and nephew (as well as myself) as the 3 little pigs. Our little dog, Jasper, was the "big bad wolf". The kids loved it, had a great time and looked so cute.
The second parade was Sunday and we walked for my BIL who was just elected and county commissioner. It was hot, sunny, and I needed to pee the entire time. After the parade, we went to the plaza for food and although it sounds delicious, and at the time it was, but now even today, I still feel sick. I had a Navajo taco, funnel cake, roasted corn and lemonade. I feel hung over.

It's just me and DD for the next few days as DH has gone out of town for business. I should mention these business meetings are taking place at an all inclusive resort in Jamaica.
So this means I have to step up and do everything myself since I usually rely pretty heavily on DH.
They have closed all the restrooms in my building. All floors. Umm, not cool for a pregnant lady! Now we have to walk across to the other building all day to use the restroom. Did they not know I need to pee every hour?!?
I just got caught up on the Ray Rice thing. Holy shit balls is all I have to say. He needs to be let go, asap. I hope all this backlash actually does something. But also, she still married him a month later. That is almost more terrifying to me.
It's Monday already. Yick. DH had a show this weekend at the House of Blues in downtown San Diego. It was a super good time! But seriously took a piece out of me. I haven't stayed up past midnight in MONTHS. And we didn't get home until 2:30am on Saturday!
Yesterday he had a couple of the guys over and they worked on his bike, bbq'd and just hung out for sunday funday. Today I am EXHAUSTED. Here's to hoping today goes by fast!
@sugahcooki01 - I can't help to picture a scene from the Dangerous Minds when I read your story. But seriously, I'm glad he didn't act on it. There are some crazy ass teens out there! I hope your day gets better!
ETA: Removed "". No idea why I put them around "guys". Errr
@sugahcookie01 that is so scary! I'm glad they escorted him right out.
Yesterday we went to the store and DS was obsessed with a ride on toy. He was so cute DH and I were cracking up until we saw the price tag. No way were we going to spend $50 on a little ride on toy for a 1 year old! When did kids toys get so expensive?
I don't recognize 75% of people who have started threads since I was last here on Thursday. What is going on?
I'm new...I wasn't sure if I wanted to post or not but finally joined. I lurked on a different board on a diff site but those ladies weren't just snarky they are downright mean. Message boards make pg fun and I couldn't handle that kind of "fun." Whew!
I've encountered these two names lately that I find a little ridiculous:
Justice (a boy)
Paizlee (a girl) I'd be fine with Paisley, but come on!
These two children exist ex-utero, so I'm not making fun of them per se, just stating that I think their parents needed a little more guidance.
I have a friend who named her son Phoenix Justus. I love Justus.
My last baby we named Mercy Anne. I thought that there are all these other virtues that are popular: Grace, Hope, Joy, etc, so why not? But I love being unique that way.
I actually got my hubby to tell me some of his picks for this baby and he said Ruth for a girl. Not gonna lie, I had a hard time biting my tongue. . I love him to death and I think it took courage to share with me. Lol.
woah @krendel1990's stepsister just lost the all time naming game. I would just have nicknames I used for those children all the time if I were their aunt. lol
eta: not name related nicknames either..they'd be like.. pumpkin or muffin or something lol
@sugahcookie01 I am so sorry you had that terrifying experience!! So sweet that so many of the other students have a protective instinct over you though. That made me tear up.
So I would love your thoughts on our name picks....

The middle names are both my Grandma's MN (one living and one who passed) and husbands Great Grandma's MN. My husbands Grandma who just passes MN was Betty, but we didn't like how that flowed with our first names. Does Elizabeth also work for Betty?

I absolutely love them, but you already know that. And yes Elizabeth absolutely works to honour a Betty.
I'm 19 weeks today and am really wanting to feel the baby more than I am. DD didn't move around much, and when she did, I hardly felt it because I had an anterior placenta. I know this baby is super active based on doppler and ultrasounds, and a few weeks ago I was feeling bigger flopping movements but nothing since. I'm not worried...I've picked up the HB at home, just annoyed with my uterus of steel, I guess.

I have the same problem. DS was always CRAZY super active on EVERY ultrasound (and we had a bunch with him) I maybe felt him a handful of times during the day even when most women are complaining about kicks (like 35-40 weeks). I have a feeling its gonna be the same for this one. I bought a doppler for home this time cause I don't like the fact I can't feel the kicks as much.
So not to be a downer but need some Ts and Ps - my grandmother is pretty much on her deathbed. She sustained a head injury about a week ago and was recovering but took a turn for the worse on Friday. She's currently in a semi-comatose state and unresponsive. I was so thrown off by this news. I never really thought of her ever dying. She is 90 and has been battling with memory loss (most likely Alzheimer's) for the past 10-15 yrs. She's my only grandparent (others passed before I was born) and I've never had a family member pass away. I'm upset because I can't get out to see her to say goodbye, but trying to stay positive and be happy knowing that she was able to be at my wedding (I'm the first of all the grand kids to get married, and now the first to have a kid). This has really hit my dad and aunts and uncle hard. Just praying she has a peaceful and pain free passing. I'm a sad nomnomasaur :-(
I am so sorry your grandmother is not well. My grandma passed away suddenly last month and it is so hard when it is unexpected. Lots of hugs and good thoughts to you!
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

@cls78 I love the name Claire!! It's my top pick for a girl - Claire Elizabeth (MN is a fam name).

@nomnomasaur0426 I'm sorry about your grandmother! I lost my only surviving grandparent (my grandmother) last summer. It is not an easy ting to go through. T&P to you and all your family!

I don't think it's going to be a big deal when I tell them, even though I can have up to FT hours I'm technically PRN but it's just stressing me out.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
