On a whim I posted a piece of furniture for sale on a local FB page- sold in less than 24 hours for $100. It was given to me for free, so it's all profit AND now we have more room! And $100.

Found out today that my paternal grandma doesn't know who I am. My mom was crying after church Sunday, and I thought it was because a friend of a friend had passed away. She told me today it was because my grandma walked past me, saw me, and she could tell she didn't recognize me. My dad didn't want me to know.

thank goodness I have this little cutie to make me feel better, but it still sucks.

Sounds like things are looking up in the RTT.
I had a great day at work. Mgmt bought us all lunch and root beer floats, then sent us home early. I used the extra time to take DS for his first haircut..... At almost 4 mos. dd was 18 months before she needed an official haircut! Then we bought dd some shinguards for her soccer and went to BW3 for dinner and beer. Nom!

B&A: I think he looks like a tiny banker now.

LOL! Aiden has a powder blue striped one I made for him that he wore this weekend after his baptism. I'll have to make him another in October for a wedding we're attending then.

So I remember someone asking why they didn't have something to keep the pacifier on the mouth while baby was sleeping or in the car. Well they did make one. It's called the beeni baby hat. It's being recalled d/t infant asphyxiation.

Just lovetitting all over because I missed too much to comment on everything.

I put DD to bed an hr later than normal - hope it's not gonna bite me in the butt in the morning...

Also I had a dream that I was at a block party (even though I live in an apartment irl) and @mamrotu73‌ and @Eireyes showed up and introduced themselves by their bump names. I was super freaked about how they knew me because I never post pics of myself. It was very strange...

When I take mine out they don't smell like anything. Maybe I'm used to having laundry smell like nothing? I have used fabric softener in ages, or scented laundry detergent. But they don't smell like my wet dog. We did have a pond water smell issue earlier this year, but we've worked it out.

You could try adding vinegar to your rinse. It won't add scent but will kill any funk smell. I just add it to the fabric softener dispenser.

Currently trapped in hell. This kid refuses to sleep tonight and we have tried everything. Bouncing, rocking, swaddled, unswaddled, his bed, our bed, bottle, breast, diaper, patting, paci, mom, dad, white noise, lavender,teething oil, etcetera. No joke. He won't stay asleep longer than 5 min.

I told DH to just go to bed because he works in the morning. If it wouldn't emotionally scar this kid I would leave him on the floor in the spare room to CIO. I just don't know what else to do for him tonight.

@pineconey I am so sorry that you're he is not sleeping. There is nothing more frustrating for a mom than when your baby won't sleep. I hope he passes out soon.

I use tide powder too and my CDs do smell like the tide powder. I have discovered I don't like that smell lol. The cd fb group I'm on says those tide scent things you can add to your laundry are ok, but I've never tried it. Considering it though.

My H calls carpets rugs and he's from East coast whereas I call them carpets and I'm from the Midwest. I always thought it was strange that he called them "rugs."

I've always said "rugs" for everything- like "go vacuum the bedroom rug" even though it's wall to wall carpet. I'm from the Boston area.

HOOOOOLY CRAP. I miss like two days of Bumping and so much RTT happens. I'll comment on some things that I can remember from my cursory run-through, in no particular order.

I've never done recreational drugs, not even marijuana. Well, unless you count the fact that I've taken Vicodin (regular single pill doses, not high-inducing doses) without a prescription in my college days. Also Adderall on one occasion when I needed to pull an all-nighter on a class project. Clearly I walk on the mild side.

I'm not sure if I know what baby smell is either, and I've had two babies. However, I'm not ashamed to admit that I've deliberately taken a few whiffs of my babies to try and figure it out.

I disagree with almost all of that six year old's food brackets. He (she?) has awful taste.

How can someone not like root beer? When I was pregnant I ordered Jimmy Johns just to have root beer delivered to my home.

TP to the long-term boyfriend who cheated. That kind of shit pisses me off. Not only did he behave in a way that is hurtful, but in so doing he also completely wasted years of his faithful partner's time. Douchebag.

DANI'S KITCHEN THOUGH. I also noticed the wine rack that seems to have quite a few bottles missing from their usual places.

My paternal grandmother had Alzheimer's before she passed in 2012 (while DD was in NICU, so she never got to meet either of my babies). I remember a phone call I made to my father (who was living with her to provide her care at the time) prior to her passing. She picked up the phone and I asked if I could speak to "dad" and then clarified by saying "Bill" (dad's name) in case that was easier. I think my saying "dad" confused her. When she set the phone down to get him I could hear her saying that he had a phone call. When he asked who it was she said something about "dad," and you could just hear my father getting frustrated and saying "No, mom, my dad is dead. There's no one on the phone." It was as if that kind of thing happened all the time. He didn't even bother to pick up the phone. I just hung up. My maternal grandfather and great aunt had similar issues as well. It's so incredibly sad. I wish there was a medical solution.

I'm from Michigan and I say "rug" for area rugs only and "carpet" for wall-to-wall carpets only. I also call bullshit on Aladdin. That flying thing was a magic rug.
