I just called and left a message for the nurse. The office closes at 5 and I can't go all weekend like this.
Nope. Unacceptable. There is no reason they shouldn't get back to you today. Can you reach a person and kind of freak out about how concerned you are?
I'm going to give the nurse an hour to respond to my call, and then I'm going to call and let them know that I'm on my way to the office where they can deal with me face to face. I'm not a demanding patient, but they need to make time for me today.
Yes. You have a right to an answer, you have the right to be treated.
@estamos_tomamos Do you need me to pretend to be another dr and call to get your results? I'd do it. Or maybe your lawyer? "Hi, this is..... Mrs. Tomamos's lawyer, calling with an urgent request. What do you mean, you don't have a patient with that name?"
FX that the weather holds out for you NE ladies!
I had my first real appointment (and follow up to last week's emergency appt) today! It went really well! Baby is measuring right on track and my new due date is.... March 17! Which is exactly the due date I calculated according to my O date and have been going by. Temping for the win! Anyways, baby looked great with a heart rate of 145, which we got to hear! It was so amazing! And my SCH is gone (yay!) and my ovarian cyst has shrunk waaay down (to 2.5cm) so that's probably why my cramps have gone away. I'm off pelvic rest and actually looking forward to a little sex soon! I could not be a happier camper. Next appointment we'll do first trimester screening plus what they called the "full Jewish panel" to check if I'm a carrier for a bunch of diseases, since my dad is Jewish. So... more to worry about, but I am going to try to relax and be happy with my healthy little nugget for now! :-)
Now let's see if I can get the picture posted this time!
can someone make this afternoon go by faster? or bring me a grande chai latte with soy and a bagel with cream cheese? I think it might be time to pull out my favorite (non-bump) time waster - cleaning out old files. bonus - it's semi-productive and work-related.

I'm totally craving sushi, but am going to stay away. About 5 years ago, I got severe food poisoning from a sushi restaurant, so I'm not even going to chance it. But damn, a spicy tuna roll sounds divine.
Everything went well and I've officially graduated from the RE! Baby's measuring 2 days behind, but that's probably fine. Now I have to wait a whole 3 weeks for another U/S!! I'm heading upstairs to get my panorama blood test and we should get that back in about 2 weeks. So that's the next thing to obsess over.
I'm getting to the point that I feel a little silly stressing and updating about my u/s. I'm not quite 10w and this was my 4th one! I can't even imagine how many I will end up having.
@meladoriestar, if I had the chance to stalk Moaster visit my husband if he was out of town I probably would! Especially if there was funnel cake involved!
Question of the day: should I drive 2 hours this weekend to stalk @toastercat see my hubby?
ETA: also to go to the state fair and eat all the funnel cakes??
Here is the cinnamon bread recipe for anyone who wants it! 2 cups milk 2 eggs 1/4 cup butter-melted 4 cups bread flour 1/4 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast.
Put all ingredients in bread machine in order written and do the dough cycle. If you don't have a bread machine, I believe you can just do wet ingedients first with the yeast and let sit for about 15 mins. Add dry ingredients. Knead well and let rise in a warm area for about an hour.
When dough is finished, roll out on a floured surface into 2 9x13 rectangles. In a small bowl, mix together: 1 cup brown sugar 3 teaspoons cinnamon.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and spread melted butter over dough rectangles. Sprinkle the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture evenly between the 2 dough rectangles.
Roll each rectangle and pinch to seal the ends. Place in two greased 9x5 bread pans
Place in preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 30 mins.

My SO is an Afghanistan war veteran. He was in the infantry and has two deployments. In the army when you deploy and take fire you are awarded with a Combat Infantry Badge. It's a huge honor.
This was in our mailbox today and I have all the feels.
I don't know what thread this goes in. I am so frustrated. It turns out my application for medicaid was never sent to the medicaid office. I was on the phone with the lady who said she had sent it over and gave me numbers for it and everything! So now I have to F'in apply all over again! I have been dealing with this for over a month and should have already had my paperwork ~X( . Now I am trying to figure out how much self pay is going to cost me because I need to get in to see a damn doctor. This is beyond infuriating. End rant.

Well, my HCG increased but it only went from 13,139 to 14,519 between Monday and Thursday. I have another sonogram Tuesday, but it feels like we're just drawing out the inevitable now.
@estamos_tomamos I am sorry you are having to wait til Tues. for more answers. I found this
"Normal" Doubling Time
hCG levels
Doubling Time
Under 1200 mIU/ml
31-72 hours
Between 1200 to 6000 mIU/ml
72-96 hours
Over 6000 mIU/ml
more than 96 hours
ETA: I know that may not mean much to you, but maybe there is still hope. I have everything X for you!
I really like this chart, because I was going to come in guns a' blazin' saying "BUT WHEN DO THEY STOP DOUBLING BECAUSE @ESTAMOS_TOMAMOS IS NOT LEAVING!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I was definitely going to shout it and use all that extra punctuation.
I feel like posters preface their questions with the "I'm a first time mom" statement to validate their irrelevant question. We are only two months in and it is already annoying.
It's especially annoying to those of us that are first time moms with an actual brain (my first pregnancy ended so quickly that I consider myself a newbie still).
It's called reading, it doesn't kill you, promise.
@estamos_tomamos you cannot leave so I cannot give up on that bean. I am still holding on to that sliver of hope in this incredibly creepy way where I cry for you even though we are kinda still internet strangers (but not really, cause you know you're my lover unless you tell bimbo mom or moasterpat cause they're so jealous...). All this to say, I have a lot of feels about the limbo you're in and I'm here for support or distraction if needed, but I won't concede to the line of thinking that loss is inevitable. I just can't do that for you. FX love, and so many hugs.
@estamos_tomamos I'm with freckles, I'm not above being a ridiculous optimist because I love you so hard. And you have been so strong throughout all of this. Your sense of humor is amazing and no matter what happens you will always be one of us. Giant hugs.
