@south_myst I dislike when doctors do not trust that their patients know their own bodies. There have been many times when I've known EXACTLY what was wrong (or what wasn't wrong) with me because I'm very in tuned with my body and they disregarded my claims. All I could do was smirk when the tests would come back and I was correct and they weren't. Hope you get to smirk at your doctor.

Well, it was an initial interview with a staffing company, but they are getting me an interview with the actual company on Monday or Tuesday. I should hear from them tonight. Oh the wait!

Obviously, being QueenB, I'm invited to this ute slumber party, but I can't bring Mall Madness, pogs, Polly pockets, tomagotchis, or a skip-it, because I left them in 1995, but I can play an awesome game of MASH and tell you that you're totes going to marry Nick Carter, live in a mansion, drive a Porsche etc. I'm also good at adding additional topics of fortune telling worthiness to the game. I think this would help entertain all of us busy helping to grow the baby, cause you know, that'll be a very long slumby. (this is my image of a slumber party, cause I'm a 90s child).

@jenny0314 We would give adults liquid Tylenol at my hospital all the time.  I'm sure your Dr.'s office could give you a dosage size of it you could take.  We usually give 650mg, which in Children's Liquid Tylenol (2-11yrs) (160mg in 5ml) is 4 teaspoons ( 4 teaspoons = 20ml = 640mg).  I would check with the Dr. to be sure they agree though.

My step daughter has Polly pockets, I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I borrowed them for a bit. Especially for something like this! Any other requests? I'll check her room!

Guyyys -- your T's & P's are crazy powerful. My SIL finally had the baby & everything went perfectly!! Can't believe she endured a 3.5 day induction --- and no epidural until this morning. I would have been a crying mess & begging for a section days ago.

@estamos_tomamos I'm so sorry you're still in limbo!  I understand how you might want to ready yourself for bad news, but I am in the eternal optimist camp on this one!  Those numbers are still going up and there's still a baby in there!  Can't wait for Tuesday for you!

Also, can I come to the slumberparty in your ute, pleeeeease??  I too left my beloved game of Girl Talk back in the 90s, but I can probably round up some angsty episodes of My So-Called Life and I'm really good at braiding hair!

What about Pogs? Does anyone have those anymore? We were never allowed to play with pogs at school, so we always had to afterwards or at slumber parties!

Okay our employee health NP is stupid.

I'm cleared to work in one department but not the other. 

I stopped by my midwife's office and asked when and if they wanted to start a lifting restriction because I already can't pull anything with my left hand for 2 weeks so might as well tack on anything now rather than in 4 weeks when I have my first visit. So yeah they put me on the 25 lb restriction that is standard for their practice.

The dumb NP read only the phrase "may not lift anything heavier than 25 lbs until delivery" to my bosses.  I tried to find both of them before my EH visit but they were both in meetings.  So yeah, I got outed by employee health at work. One of them had her read the note over at least 3 times because she thought the NP was off her rocker, I  have a broken hand and this is talking about a birth, I was also outed in front of one of my boss's secretary too.  So now work knows before my family.

So I'm not a nurse until after I deliver but I can do my other job, they are at least willing to switch me over to full time in the other position until I deliver, I still will have daily patient contact though, but will miss nursing.

Is a 25 lb restriction common for all pregnants elsewhere? I've never heard that. And surely you can still function as a nurse but call in help when it's time to lift someone? It seems drastic to stop doing your primary job completely for 9 months.
