  • The whole fb/gbcb drama is eerily similar to something that happened with a group I was apart of back in 2009.

We got close through pregnancy then everyone had their babies and went crazy- when our babies were a few months old people started gbcing and getting booted.

No real point to this just a Weird coincidence.

  • I work in car insurance and someone called in to get an rmv form I was searching and searching for her policy when she said she wasn't insured with my company. Like WTF stupidity
  • @spano41‌ good luck with the surgery keep us updated!
  • @mamamonzo so good to see you!

I am super sunburned, so I walked down to DQ and got an ice cold caramel moolatte. I need this more often.
  • Why have 8 counters at the DMV and only utilize 1, maybe 2, at a time? Especially when they're are about 70 people waiting. Ugh. Wtf.
  • Hubs completed a spartan race today.

    Feeling inadequate.

@RedDawnsRevenge‌ the only thing that goes in there is charlies, bleach, and vinegar. I've never used dryer sheets or fabric softener on any of my laundry :-\ I don't think it's buildup already since a drop of water is immediately absorbed. I wash the wet bag with every wash (which is eod) so I don't think it's holding on to odors. I've been meaning to buy some alva bamboo inserts and this might be a sign!

Vinegar will cause funk if your water is even the slightest bit hard. I made that mistake once. It took a while to get rid of the pond smell.

Edit: boy hard? Lmao autocorrect is bad
  • My parents dog just ate my bra. And the only pair of shorts I own.
  • @RedDawnsRevenge‌ that's depressing. I hate when stuff like that happens because I only have a handful of clothes that fit me right now.

Question for you ladies: when my DS reaches for toys (he can grab them sometimes), he is very shakey. Is anyone else's LO like that?

Wtf. Thank you for telling me that. I think our water is pretty normal, but normal is slightly hard I thought? Using bleach w every load seems like overkill but charlies says the soap alone won't sanitize enough so they say to use bleach or vinegar. I think I should switch detergents. Aghhh.
Bleach will also most likely void your diaper warranty. So double check. There are a few brands that recommend small amounts of bleach but most warn against use. Bleach eats PUL, though many use it without problem. Also make sure you are using enough soap. Unfortunately with the drought I've had too change my wash routine twice this year! First I added the pre-rinse then I added a scoop of soap.
  • With my daughter we used a scoop of oxygen bleach (oxyclean or whatever) with every load. With my son now that we're using the booster we haven't had to do that, but we've also been sunning them a lot. I had originally missed the part where they didn't smell right away, just after sitting for awhile. That makes me wonder if its not a wash routine problem at all.

@aprilmay9 my diapers smelled stank. Like ammonia though... I did a double rinse, 1 hot wash with double rinse with detergent and another full hot wash and double rinse without detergent. Aired out outside and have since been washing per normal with no smell. The whole cd thing is sooo touchy. Too much detergent, not enough, everything causes an issue! Good luck!
Edit: clarification: normal is prerinse, hot wash, double rinse

YOU GIUSSSEEE thank you so much for suggesting tummy nap. DS is passed the eff out after 1 minute of back patting. And no swaddle. @purespark this will be amazing when it's 95 tomorrow, thanks for the hot weather tip!

Now to figure out how to turn him over...or not?
@MrsStanton87 I'm glad it worked! If you want to turn him I suggest just slowly rolling him over. One of my sneaky tricks is to put a pillow on my lap, have him fall asleep on the pillow using the belly nap/back pat super combo, and then when he's out carry the pillow to his crib or wherever it is I want him to sleep and roll him from pillow to crib so that he ends up on his back. >:)

Honestly though, if it's during the day and you're around to keep an eye on him I'd just let him sleep. By six months my daughter was rolling and choosing to sleep on her belly overnight anyway. It's a lot less of an issue when they are strong enough to control their position somewhat.

@Rogue237, @jellysparkles, and I had to use the VIP elevator at the museum.  B-)

And it was absolutely because we are rich and famous, not at all because the main elevator was broken and we had three strollers full of babies...
