@ambarnett1 We did no swaddle for the first time last night after she tore through her sleep sack (It's made by a friend of ours and has velcro arms and it's awesome but I think Merri is starting to haaaaaate it) the last three nights. We laid her on her side and she slept AWESOME. Still in the bassinet in our room and we checked on her more times than ever to make sure she was still alive and breathing. But hey...it's a step past placing her in the swing for the evening.
@knotty-girl being a SAHM for the few weeks that I did was so.freaking.hard. All of that work was much harder than my job! Did I ugly cry? Oh yeah, but a part of me is relieved that I can be away and have adult time. ((Hugs))
I love pumping at work, I told my sup I would probably be gone for each session for about 20 mins or so. I'm usually done pumping in 10, so I'm just going to sit here and bump for a while B-).

@PoppySeedWindsor you put her like that when she was asleep right? I may have to give it a try.
She fell asleep side nursing last night and we just kinda kept her like that. She was on the sofa first and we propped her up, then we ended up doing the same in the bassinet. She's rolling onto her side when we play on her mat now anyway. But dude, it was amazing how much of a difference it made. She's been REFUSING to sleep on her back the four nights and I think this may be the key.
GO @macgrs! You'll do awesome. You've got all of RTT rooting for you. If you get nervous, just imagine a bunch of cute babies (Heck, that's gotta be better than picturing your interviewer naked, right?)!!

I tend to picture them as a talking ear of corn, but I'm just weird.

After finally resolving some post partum issues at 11 weeks I went to the gyno for my annual. They were like, "ok see you in a year!" So weird. I felt like I should've given the admin a hug... I saw her more than all of my friends this year.

Thanks guys! I'm afraid if I do this it will end with, "are you smiling? Do you want to hire Mommy? Yes you do, you do want to hire Mommy!"
There's also the chance of the awkward let down that I hadn't considered.
I haven't been around for a couple days, so I don't think I'm going to be able to catch up on the 500+ posts I've missed. Sorry! For some reason the wifi on my phone has decided to stop working, and my 4G doesn't work inside the house (tin roof). Hopefully I can get it worked out today, or I'm gonna have to punch something or cry or something. :-L

I have a couple small patches of thick, itchy skin on my cheeks (maybe eczema?). I've been keeping them well moisturized and putting hydrocortisone on them but they don't go away. I just put desitin on them and the redness went away and they are totally smooth now, not itchy! I forget who was posting about eczema treatments- @dani+california maybe- but give it a shot!

@Teresa1896 It could be an allergy to something in the air. I'm new to my area (moved from Oregon to Kentucky) and have been having HORRIBLE bumps and eczema on my legs. My doc recommended having local honey to help reduce it. It's actually helped a bunch! And it doesn't put anything else into baby. Just a thought!
@PoppySeedWindsor it could be allergies, I guess. I have heard that about local honey. I agree that I would like to avoid using "chemicals" if possible. Zinc oxide is pretty innocuous, though, so I feel ok about it for now. :-)

Tin roof! Cool! It must sound nice when it rains.
It does! Very relaxing. But it can get pretty stinkin' loud if it's pouring hard.

Sleep regression sucks. Harley got up at 630, 730 and 830. I know she isn't hungry, but I'm tired and don't care. I'm nursing back to sleep.
I'm also super upset with my work. They left us short staffed last night, so I couldn't take an actual break to pump. I got engorged and ended up sobbing and pumping in the bathroom. So, I have to confront my boss today. Again. Any advice?
Bonus: my dad just sent me twice as much money than needed to ship my niece clothes. (I am broke, so is my sister, and she's got hardly any clothes to fit her 2 month old daughter). I'm getting coffee today.
I'm so ready for Thursday. DH and I are going out, LO is going to grandma's. I'm going to have my first drink(s) in over a year.
A took second breakfast on the beach today. What a lucky baby.
I want second breakfast on the beach...
Dude, was thinking the same thing. And then I was realizing, "Shit, I haven't even had first breakfast. What would first breakfast on the beach be? And then what would second breakfast be?"
I felt a little embarrassed that i lost it last night, but coming on here and reading all the supportive replies was really nice. I don't have to be such a prideful person and it's ok to be human- i've been like a stepford robot lately. It's nice to know that others have had some of the same struggles.
Good morning Ladies! I was determined to squeeze in some exercise last night, which means I didn't finish until after 11:00, then couldn't go to sleep until after midnight which means I'm a sleepy-zombie today.
@macgrs, good luck on your interview. It sounds like an amazing opportunity for you.

Pshhh don't be embarassed! This board has heard stories about my sex life, my mucous plug, labour, PPD, my kid's poop, my feelings of inadequacy as a mother, picking my nose and God knows what else. I've shared more intimate details here than I do with my closest friends. It's helped me pull through my darkest hours, no exaggeration.
You're doing a great job and I think it's wonderful that you feel comfortable enough to share those feelings with us. That's what we're here for! I hope today is a better day for you.
