Thanks, Dani! A woke up his normal happy baby self. After milk, tummy time, dance time, and more milk, he is sleeping now.
I think last night messed him up. We went out for dinner with DHs friend and didn't get home until 11. The restaurant is in the morgue of an old hospital... Maybe it was the ghosts
That seriously must be a huge morgue! Serious the last tie hospitals I've worked in the morgue was the size of a large closet. What kind of dinner do you have in a morgue? This sounds fun. Pretty sure I'd be eating alone as I don't know anyone else with my morbid curiosity.
We still use the car seat. Mostly because I like to see and talk to LO while using the stroller. I figure there will be plenty of stroller time without the seat, I dont want to rush it!
Wore baby while doing groceries today. The comments and stares...you would have thought I bungee corded her to my chest.
I think Liam has silent reflux or heartburn. He shows all the signs of reflux except the projectile vomiting. He was laying in bed with me this morning and acted like he was choking, spit up a whole bunch of stinky spit, and screamed. The rest of the day he has been cranky. Anyone else dealing with this? He's been doing some of this off and on for awhile and pedi said there wasn't much to do unless he was projectile vomiting.
Ryver projectile vomited in the peds office and she still won't do anything about it. It's so bad no one wants to hold her because she smells or for fear they'll be thrown up on. But because she's 98% ped won't do anything about it. I feel so sad for my baby.

Its a pizza joint. I guess it is possible that it was the morgue plus some other basement offices, though.
You wouldn't be alone, the place is mostly full every time I go.
One of the morgues was located on the first floor, right down from the ICU elevators. Just an unmarked door in the hallway.

That makes me sad for you and your baby. I think it's awful that your ped won't do anything about it.

Oh really? What do people say? I did this for the first time Friday but didn't get met with anything negative.
People always stop me when I'm wearing Ryver, but it's always to say they like it or where to get one, or my favorite: how the hell did you tie that thing? Though one lady did say she took hers back because it didn't fit her husband. I was afraid to ask how big he was that 15ft of wrap wouldn't fit. What kind of wrap/carrier are you using @TallaB ?
I think the swing is slowly dying...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
If you haven't had it long, contact the manufacturer. FP sent me a new swing when I submitted a complaint the music didn't work. I didn't even have to talk to a person.
only been using it a month and it's FP too.
I'm right there with you over batteries in the bouncy seat! It won't be long..

I would find a new pedi. That's ridiculous.
I would but I have serveral thing going against me. First it's a small town, and all the peds are in the same group and once established that's who you see. 2. The old family doctor we had won't see us anymore because we don't have insurance, and his MA turned us away telling me it would cost too much. I wanted to pay to see him, since I used to work with him often in the hospital and his FNP was an ER nurse with me, but they said no, and told me to go to the county clinic. So now I'm stuck with the s***y ped. We've pretty much stopped going. I cancelled our last apt. I just couldn't see the point in waiting for hours to get the baby weighed and go home if she's just going to ignore me, when I can just weigh her at home.
@RedDawnsRevenge We have a Lillebaby. I think its pretty similar to an Ergo, but made with more mesh?? I was going for something that wouldn't overheat!
And the comments werent negative. It was just the "Oh look at that harness" or "isn't that neat" and the "does she have a BABY strapped to her chest" double-takes. But, the 'harness' was worth it, because I had room in the cart and baby loved looking around until she fell asleep!
Old ladies at the grocery store are always amused when they see my baby wrapped to my body. One lady once congratulated me for "doing what the native Americans did"...
I get these responses when I wear my kids in public:
1. "Oh thats so sweet/cute"
2. Older ladies saying that they wish they had carriers like it when their babies were little.
Went to Target today and got Starbucks on the way out. The person that was ahead of me in line paid for my coffee and kid's milks!
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
I'm sorry. I do know how you feel. All of my friends are more like acquaintances these days. We were military growing up and after I got married, so all the friends I had in school, including myself, moved away. Far away. So even my IRL friends seem like internet strangers these days.

What comments @TallaB? Do tell! And you said what I feel about the carseat. She's just too cute, and loves to look at me! How can I pass that up?

I have a BOB, and the manual says use the seat at least until 8 weeks. So apparently he can ride in the stroller without his seat now. I had no idea. I also didn't know that the crotch strap needed to be moved in his car seat. Geez, I need to get better at reading manuals.
I have a BOB too. What is this crotch strap moving that you speak of? I too do not read instructions.
I got the info from the car seat PSA thread earlier in the week. The Britax B-Safe's crotch strap should be moved outward when the baby gets to be eleven pounds, I think. I just did it. Poor Cyrus; he's been over eleven pounds for like two months.
Ooops, I missed that memo. Must remember to check crotch strap.
Oh man @BiggerinRealLife you have been getting RTT notifications this entire time?? Glad you figured how to turn them off!
@poru told me I could, like, a month ago. Took me this long to get around to it.
BIRL, I can't even tell you how many times over the past I-don't-know-how-many months I've considered replying here with some comment about what your notification list must look like... Only to backspace and type something else because I was so sure you already had them turned off.

I'd go! I'm an urbexer in my head (explorer of abandoned buildings), but not in practice because you can get in trouble with the law. I'd love to roam around abandoned asylums with my camera. *happy sigh*

I grew up across the river from la purisima mission in Lompoc. We'd take people there at night to scare them. The ghost hunters went there once. So stupid. "This place is definitely haunted," no it's not. It's a fake, a rebuilt working replica. The real one was destroyed in an earthquake. That one is haunted. No one ever goes there, most people drive by or walk past because they don't even know it's there. That's my only urbexing experience.
Not gonna lie...all them gifs in a row, I got a case of gif anxiety. So glad you got your notifications turned off!
RE: The swing -- Are you, by chance, putting any blankets on it? I found that our FP swing sucks butt the more weight we put on it. We have two blankets down over the pad pretty regularly and we had noticed "Oh, it's getting way slow." But then we took the blankets off and didn't have her in it and VROOOOOOM the thing took off.
Lastly: Why are all the babies NOT inviting us to this giant RTT No-Sleep-A-Thon? Did you all get the invite? Cause I sure as hell didn't...

We had such a great time, having my own lil fam is such a cool feeling :x
Hopefully it's a fluke, cause baby girl is awake going on 45 min and is wanting to party and I feel like I may need toothpicks to hold open my eyes.
