I hate when people without kids and who aren't pregnant complain about sleep.
Like I literally want to say to them you have no idea what not sleeping through the night is until you have a little human screaming in your ear or growing in your belly making it impossible. Enjoy your silence!!!
Looked like a few little coffee grounds in Truman's spit up this morning. Off to the doctor we go today....hoping it's OMS (Overprotective Mother Syndrome)
Successfully NIP with DD in the ring sling while we were on the road today!!!
Eta: While stopped for lunch and DS was on the playground, not while ACTUALLY on the road, lol.
Any tips for nursing in the ring sling? I feel like such a doh doh when I comes to figuring it out!
For us, we have to nurse on the opposite side of the rings. Then I loosen it up and sorta lay him sideways.

Judge away. I am too sleep deprived to care.
I want to be one of THOSE women who say to the random pregnant woman 'get your sleep now!' Because I truly had no idea.
Noooo don't be one if those women! Honestly, people said the 'get your sleep now' crap to me, and I just rolled my eyes. Obviously NOW I know how much of a clusterfuck my sleep is, but I had to experience it to fully know. Talking down to people and dishing out super unhelpful 'advice' won't ever make them realize how hard it is until they experience it.
Be supportive instead! Even if in your head you're laughing maniacally at how getting up to pee 5 times a night is 'super hard and tiring' to a pregnant woman. (This was me at 8 months. Ahahaha idiot.)
This! I don't appreciate that "advice" from snarky strangers now that I know what new baby tired is. It still annoys me in retrospect. I was huge and pregnant and tired and in pain and miserable. Now I'm moderately fat, and tired. I'll take this over that, and never ever ever talk to a pregnant woman like she could have it worse.

@Holljade Preach it!! I want to strangle my younger sister on a weekly basis because she is ALWAYS complaining to me about how "tired" she is. She works from home for HSN but works nights. The reason she's so tired? Because she skips sleep to hang out with her boyfriend. Sister...you're an idiot. Complain to someone who cares. %-(

Also fun story about nursing in public this morning:
I took Merriwether to a coffee shop because I wanted to do some writing outside of our apartment. I brought a bottle from what I expressed this morning but the 3 ounces wasn't enough so I popped her on, covered with my scarf.
A big burly Russian mafia dude sat down with his little cappucino at a table across from me, looked at me, stood up, drank his cappucino and walked over to my table. I thought he was going to go all scary Russian mafia on me, but instead he said,
"You do that baby very good. My mama gave me her milk and now look at me," (Beats chest) "I'm a big man. Your baby be a big man too."
I was too giddy and in awe to say Merri was a girl.

I had to restrain myself from snarky comments when a pregnant friend of mine made her Facebook status about how 3:30 was way to early to wake up. It wasn't from pregnancy discomfort but because she chose to stay up late before an early morning flight.
She had crying emoticons even. Just wait.
Oh man, I hated hearing "just wait" when I was pregnant. In fact, I still hate it when people say it about some upcoming thing that DS will do at some point. I usually say "can't wait" in response. That shuts up the non helpful idiots.
It's definitely a different kind of tired than I've ever experienced, but I hated the "sleep" advice too so I'm not about to mention it to people. The "advice" I do give is to not be afraid to seek out lactation consultant help if breastfeeding and give a recommendation for resources if asked.
So... Is the search discussion thread new or just In this thread?! Or has it always been there? Anyways.... I'm always talking to LO in the store and explaining things.
We got 10 hours! And woke up completely dry...which kinda freaked me out. He still hasn't had a super wet diaper. Should I be concerned yet?
After X amount of hours dry, you should call the pediatrician. Idk what that number is, but I would call to ask.
..…………
He hasn't been completely dry. Just not SUPER wet if that makes sense. He still has poopy diapers. He's also been suuuuuper fussy, but he's 12 weeks tomorrow so I think we're in the midst of leap 3.
@dani+california my lo did the same thing on our walk. We have the same car seat toys too and he loves them. I took the loud black and white butterfly one off because it was waking him up.
LO usually sleeps during his morning walk, but this morning he was awake for it. I pushed his little canopy back so he could see all the trees and this was his face the entire time! Too funny.
This is so cute!

This happened a couple of times when I was nursing DS if I had cracked nipples and was bleeding while he was nursing. Not sure if this is what's going on in your case, but if so, it isn't anything to worry about.
Hope he is ok.

That is too funny! I've only ever gotten positive comments from people. Last night DH, Chase, Carlene and I went out to dinner. I finished nursing Carlene and the lady at the table next to us told me I have a beautiful family. I think she was happy that I didn't let my baby cry.
When I was in high school, my dad was a business consultant, and he used to travel to Russia a lot. When my friends asked me what he did, I would always respond "I'm don't know. I know that he's there on business. For all I know, he could be the head of the Russian Mafia."
ETA: I had this nicely organized into paragraphs, but thebump is lumping it all together. Oh well.

Some random guy texted me to say he got a bike. I told him I have a dog. We conversed about dogs and bikes for a bit before I asked who it was... I do have a couple friends that are into biking but this person wasn't in my contacts.
Turned out he just texted the wrong number. But he said my dog sounds awesome and I wished him happy trails.
Several months ago, a random chick started sending me suggestive pictures. Even after I replied back with a picture of Zach Galifinakis in a women's swimsuit, she kept doing it. The next day she texted me an apology saying she thought I was her husband. :-/
