Today is my bday and its a big one. DH gave me a SHOWERHEAD. What. The. F. I thought it might be a joke, but nope that's all I got. He sucks at picking out gifts.
Oddly enough if it was a good one that made it seem like my shower was "raining" I'd probably be excited
UO: I hate the rain shower heads! If I don't want to get my hair wet, I have to tilt my head back the whole time and stand halfway out of the way.
Agree! Plus, if I wanted to feel like I was being peed on, I'd just...
Wait. What?

Go to an R Kelly concert?
I just caught up for the morning, and now I'm starting my day with the Dave Chappelle "Pee on You" song stuck in my head. ) There might be something wrong with me...
OMG I. DIE. "I wanna piss on it..."
"I said your body, your body,
Is a porta-potty"
"Can I get a Pee Pee, Can I get a Poo Poo". Ha. I DIE!
Holy hell, Girlfriend has been fighting sleep so damn hard the last two days. Napping for only 15-20 minutes at a time, no solid sleep. Guess the two 7-hour nights of sleep earlier this week were flukes somehow. *sigh* DH and I are both so frustrated, but at least he can fall asleep 5 minutes after his head hits the pillow! >.<

I wish I could find an underwire nursing bra that fit me. All I have are these stretchy ones and I feel like gravity is all, "c'mere, tits, I wanna have my way with you."
I just paid to have one of my regular bras converted...I'm thinking it's the best decision I ever made. I'll find out for sure next Thursday when I pick it up. I, too, am tired of the unsupportive tit sling of a nursing bra I have now. I want to feel pretty and have my boobs to look normal under a shirt like small-boobed women too, dammit!
Ya know, I find it disconcerting that the women who need the support of an underwire the most are the only ones that cant get it in a nursing bra. Perhaps the nursing bra-making community can't fathom a K-cup woman actually daring to breastfeed her baby.
I'm wearing my regular underwires too. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to convert them so I just slip the strap down and move the cup. Its wearing my bras out fast and is pretty inconvenient.

Girl send one to me with $20, and I'll take it to the place I went and get it converted for you, and send it back! It only takes the lady a week.
Thanks @PoppySeedWindsor and @thomas930. I am feeling much better. I think it was just a combo of new apartment, stressing about going back to work, and the thunderstorm. I ended up calling DH at work and talking to him for awhile, which helped a lot.

Ummmm... Heh I got busy learning how to fenagle 2 kids (one with major jealousy issues, apparently), then was interviewing for lots of jobs, and finally got one! Yay! Now I work graveyard shift, which sucks, but it's better than being out of work for another year. Hiring managers were starting to give me the stink eye about my time out of the workforce! Luckily though, it's quiet at night, so I can bump more! When I'm not crocheting adorable outfits, loveys, photo props, and accessories for folks, of course.

I just looked up some DIYs and I just might try myself. I have a few old bras that don't fit that i can practice on.

@colleenswerb My DH sang Mr. Big - To Be With You then got a ticket for the same thing.
@vinny424: you are a BAD influence. NO more trying to get everyone knocked up!
We transitioned B to her room and crib fromt eh PNP in our room cold turkey two nights ago and she is sleeping great. Me, not so much. Any advice? Even when I see that she is ok on the monitor, I feel the need to physically go in the room and check on her.
Hopefully this is not a sign that I'm becoming a helicopter parent already (please note sarcasm)
He sleeps with his mouth open just like his dad. The only thing this hold got from me was my eyes, large-ass feet, and a STRONG distaste for car rides.
What have you tried, @RedDawnsRevenge? Resetting modem and/or wireless router, etc?
I am unprepared for technology failure. I was to busy preparing for lack of tech after the zombie apocalypse. I have no idea what is what. Will trade technical know how for caramelized blood orange marmalade. What's what?
I've finally gotten my packrat husband on board with downsizing, so before this move we are purging our stuff, one room a weekend. We started easy with my studio (less of his stuff for him to agonize over), and he did very good. We've thrown out about four trashbags and have two large stacks of things to donate and things to sell on ebay. Feels good!
I'm so angry at our families. It seems like our girls got the short end of the stick. DH's dad dropped off stuff for my niece and nephew and didn't think to bring my girls anything. Plus he keeps calling DD2 by the wrong name. Then my dad just paid 300$ for my other nephew to have this big birthday party, but only bought DD1 boxes of diapers for her first 2 birthdays, and then some movies last year. My mom always watches my nephew, but won't watch my girls. MIL tries hard, but it just seems like everyone plays favorites. Makes me sad for my kiddos.
So what are RTT's thoughts on this: all of a sudden (maybe the past week) dd has gone from basically falling asleep on her own to being a fussy butt and crying to sleep. She's clearly tired so I end up nursing her to sleep. Most of the time she doesn't even eat, just comfort sucks.
I'd like to think this is all because I went back to work so she isn't nursing as much and misses me. But I know that isn't true. I don't mind the nursing to sleep, especially if it means I get more sleep. I remember reading somewhere though that it's a bad habit. True? Should I work on soothing her to sleep another way?

Are you happy with it? Sounds like you are. So f*** everyone who doesn't like it. I nurse mine to sleep. I don't believe when people say it's a crutch. It's good for you and good for baby, and when is that bad?

I always nurse to sleep. I especially don't mind it when I'm working because I want as many snuggles as possible. I don't believe it's really a problem. Then again, when I'm not home at bedtime (like last night) and DH has to give a bottle instead, it always goes just fine. More motivation for me to keep on doing what I'm doing.

I might just be being ornery today. But I truly believe there is a physical, psychological and a biological need to BF at night. And I strongly believe it should be unrestricted by and for both mother and child.
A year ago today we made what would be the last 2 hour drive to our RE for our first IUI! It is so cliche but I can't believe the difference a year makes! We were told there was a 6% chance IUI would work for us. Eat that statistics!
Yay!
A year ago yesterday I had my IVF transfer. It is such a trip that a year later I'm chilling with my LO. Thanks, science!
Had an awesome impromptu bbq with dad and sis and H. My gma came over in the afternoon as well. We pigged out on steaks, cheddar potatos and angel cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, played cribbage, Shea was in a great mood.
Somewhat ticked that my grandma put whipped cream in his mouth while I was turned around, and when I saw and wiped it out of his mouth and calmy said that he doesn't need sugary adult food at 2 1/2 months, she kept semi-joking that he wanted more after. Also, every time he starts fussing hungrily she seems skeptical and jokingly asks when he was last fed, an hour ago? 3 actually, but even if it was only one, it's fine by me since I get a 7 hr stretch at night.

It's a new development for us, and the funniest is when he goes to town slurping LOUDLY....
And now I'm really inspired to try converting a real bra with parts from a too small medela tank.
Thanks for the reminder! Love abc family Harry potter weekends!!

It's not mean but it sure is annoying at times.
