I just had an internet date and got some cheesecake to go to split with my husband. I accidentally ate about 2/3 of it then felt shame so I finished it and destroyed the evidence.
Starting to stress out. It's only 8 weeks until we move somewhere and we still have no idea where that somewhere will be! All I know is that it will be in the USA. I've been so busy with the boys by myself that I haven't had time to think about it. I just want to know where I'm moving to!!
I know the feeling! We're still six months out and pretty sure we know where we're going, but we should get verbals this week and I'm kinda freaking about it. Even though it's 99% certain what it will be!
Yeah. We are on our 4th set of verbals. At least 2, 3, and 4 are all in the same general area. The date keeps getting pushed back. I just want papers so I can house hunt!
People here have been getting paper orders less than a week before they have to leave. As in, not even enough time to schedule TMO. It's effed up!
DS naps every day from 12-3. He still wakes up 2-3 times a night for feedings, am I screwing myself over with his long nap? Or should I leave him be? He always wakes up exactly after 3 hours, like to the minute. It's kinda cool, haha. He's 12 weeks.
I doubt it. Mine only naps about 1/1.5 hours and still wakes up constantly. I think I just have a terrible sleeper on my hands.
Oh, I also have a TMI question. I asked in another thread a few days ago and never got a response. Is anyone still deal with discharge? I'm 11 weeks pp and DH is due home from deployment soon and I am so embarrassed about still having this issue. I don't know of it's something worth calling the doc about or if it's normal.

I bled for 13 weeks after my first c/s. I was told it was normal. But it sucked ass no less.
Dani - this will be controversial. But I wouldn't touch a 3 hour midday nap. I would maybe start trying to soothe him for 15 minutes before feeding him at his first MOTN wake up just to make sure he is really hungry. A FF baby at 12 weeks likely can go a pretty long stretch. That being said if soothing back to sleep doesn't work, I would just feed the boy.
I started doing this with DS a few weeks ago. I would offer him his pacifier when he started fussing. Usually his eyes were closed, which clued me in that he wasn't really awake. He often took his pacifier and went back to sleep. He is 13 weeks, gaining weight just fine and is sleeping 8-9 hours for his first stretch.

DH leaves for school on the 20th and today they decided to try and have him tdy en route instead of go to school and then back to out process. A week and half to try and do everything to move and leave, and we have no idea where that will be. He is going recruiter so it could literally be anywhere. I'd like to just know a region at this point! 4 verbals is frustrating though!!
@Vinny424 most difficult? Not buying all the diapers!!! Seriously I am an addict! But other than that pretty much what @mamrotu73 said, except for the laundry part.
Amanda and Lia, I met you at the moms meet up, too! I don't post much on here but I guess I lurk (sorry everyone). It has been helping me feel less alone to read everyone's comments.
Ok, I've been lurking for awhile but now I feel like I should have been participating all along. Here's my random thought: I just picked a fight with DH for no real reason other than I was jealous he got to go relax while I had to nurse. But then DS passed out right away so now I'm in bed, too. Damn hormones.
Today is my bday and its a big one. DH gave me a SHOWERHEAD. What. The. F. I thought it might be a joke, but nope that's all I got. He sucks at picking out gifts.

I'm insanely jealous! Don't question it. Enjoy it Every minute!!
Signed, a mom who's LO naps no longer than 45 minutes on a good day.
For you guys that cd, after today I'm curious about these things. If I were to start what am I lookin at spending to "start up"? Whats the most difficult part of cding?
It depends on what you buy, I bought most of my stash on Ebay and then a friend of mine gave me a ton of them, but on average, about $200 to start. The most difficult part? Knowing when enough is enough...seriously, I want ALLLLL the diapers!
But lets say I contain myself and go the cheaper route. Am I looking at $300? More? Less?
I have spent $400 and have a full stash of mostly pockets, but some all-in-ones and all-in-twos. I did take advantage of Black Friday and seconds sales for a lot of those diapers, so I did save some money. I have about 30 diapers/covers.
Prefolds and covers would likely be less than $300. I only have a few prefolds so I'm not sure what a reasonable estimate would be for 2-3 days of changes with 5-6 covers, but probably less than 300.
ETA I don't really think there's anything hard about CDing. I really don't find washing them to be much work. But...it is laundry and you have to keep up with it. That's about it. I agree that not buying allllllll the diapers is that absolute hardest part!

Oddly enough if it was a good one that made it seem like my shower was "raining" I'd probably be excited
A "raining" one would be cool...but it's not. It's exactly like the old one except bigger.

Boo. At least he got you something! I turned 30 this year, and DH couldn't come up with any ideas, so he didn't get anything. That one hurt a bit. He tried to save himself by saying he was going to replace the chain on my necklace (dog broke it a month before my birthday) for my birthday but decided not to wait to do it. Mother's Day was a week later, and same thing - nada. Needless to say I was beyond butthurt for the entire month of May.
@Vinny424 I did no research on different kinds, so my love of cloth is very specific to what I have, but pockets are amazing. I got 20, 10 wipes, a changing pad and a wetbag for $400 from a local lady. Our area also gives a $100 subsidy for going the eco friendly route.
We adore them, the only thing remotely difficult is keeping up with the laundry, but I enjoy stuffing diapers anyways, and my 21 diapers(I just bought a BG 4.0 Albert out of curiosity) are enough to be functional, economical and not take up too much room.
I wash every 1.5 or 2 days, and that way there's less time to build up stink, plus they air dry really well so the dryer isn't always running.

Thank you! Nothing happened, I was born this way unfortunately . I think the heat is exacerbating everything. My jaw hurts from clenching all day. Not sure what it is, but I just can't calm down. And I accidentally just put sunscreen on Gavin instead of lotion after the bath.
But lets say I contain myself and go the cheaper route. Am I looking at $300? More? Less?
My stash is a mix of styles and 98% preowned and we've spent around $400 on EVERYTHING, including around 10 diapers that are too big for at least another year. I. Love. Cloth. Diapering.

@lia619 the irony is I am to lazy to do disposables. I only empty the trash once a week, we have ourselves way down on the carbon footprint here. And walking to the can outside in this heat? Can't be bothered. And if I ran out of diapers in the night? There are no stores open here at night, we'd be s*** out of luck. Kid would be wearing a Kotex if that happened. But yes the "code words" get some getting used to, but you learn quickly, like bumping!

I love it too and if we weren't done having kids, I would be buying more and more. I wish I would have done cloth with all of them, can you imagine the stash I would have?!
@Leeroy80 we stuff while drinking craft beer. And I agree with the covers. With DD1 we did 100% pockets. I now know how wrong people were about prefolds and covers (sorry mom I know it was a different game when you CD'ed me)
