    Hahaha, I'll divulge. Just for you :P

    I'm so excited to watch my husband become a father. He has such a strong paternal instinct already!
    Our niece and daughter will be just under a year apart, so I'm also excited to watch cousins grow up together while becoming closer to my sister again.
    As for pregnancy, shew! Just to try to enjoy the moment without getting caught up in anticipating the next one.

    Not quite as much, but he does enjoy them!

    My question to you - did you plan to have your EDD on the same day that you and DH became BF and GF?  (Obviously not, I just think that's so cute!).

    @morrkim what's your most favorite place that you've ever visited?
    This is hard because I love to travel. My favorite would probably be Greece, because its the only time I have been out of the country and it was also cool to see all the ruins.

    That's a hard one. Normally I would say Disney World, but not RIGHT at this moment because I wouldn't be able to ride all the rides, and I'm sure it's super hot and crowded there in July.

    Right now I'd like to be back on vacation in Hawaii with DH. We had such a good time and I miss it. He loves to daily tell me "3 weeks ago today, we were doing X in Hawaii.."

    I live in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. My favorite thing is all of the hoopla surrounding major league baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. Also, I love the people and the midwest weather variety.

    I live in San Francisco and also love baseball - soooo we're a little hurt right now because of your Reds!  :((

    San Francisco is a great city for so many reasons - the food, the proximity to wine country, the sports, the crazy people, all the dogs - it's amazing. It's really too bad it's such a horrible city for kids - we'll most likely have to move within the next year.

    Awe thanks!!! DH and I got married this past October at a golf course in Halifax, NS Canada! The fall is my favorite time of year, and the colours are so nice then! :)

    That's awesome that you guys do it together! Running vacations would be right up my alley. DH isn't really a runner. He doesn't train at all, but can do a 5k or 4 miler at my pace without any prep. Kinda pisses me off ;-) He'll join me every once in awhile for something short. I like it that way. It's my thing to go do. He's a great fan though! My bfp came right at the end of an insane race schedule. I did 60 races in one year in honor of my dad's 60th birthday. I had no intention of running a marathon at the end, but by about halfway through I realized that I would never be closer training wise and I was going to be running anyway. Might as well bump the distances up and finish big! DH was at almost every race, even the weeks where I did two or three and had to drive several hours to get there. I'll never run like that again, but would like to get back to doing a couple half marathons a year. I dropped way off since pregnant and I really miss just being able to sign up for a half a week away and knowing I'll be able to do it.


    Wow - 60 races in a year!  That is ambitious!  I assume they were distances from 5k on up?  I don't do too many distances outside of 13.1.  5ks are plentiful around here, so I have to care about the cause or have a friend talk me into it. 

    I started this pregnancy in the best shape of my life.  I ran 4 half marathons since my BFP, the last one in May when I was 15 weeks pregnant.  It was in MD and we flew in for it the night before.  Due to a cancelled flight, we didn't get settled in to our hotel until midnight.  I got through the first 5 miles pretty well, but then my legs just got really heavy and I ended up walking most of the last 8 miles.  That was when I decided I was done with long distances for this pregnancy.  I am still trying to get out and get some running in.  Did a few miles this morning.

    Yes, most of the races were 5Ks.  I couldn't be too picky about what races I did, I pretty much just registered for anything I could find!  I did ten 1/2s, several 10Ks and a few 10 milers.  There were a few odd distances in there and I did a few triathlons.  One was a sprint distance, so that run was only 2.5 miles (my shortest) but was preceded by swimming and biking :)  The only "un-official" race I did was #59.  I organized a beer run for all my friends that ran a race with me that year as a thank you.  Some of them ran quite a few!  I printed t-shirts and beer mugs and we did a 3 mile run with 4 beers to taste at every mile.  I took us over an hour to run it, LOL!

    You've kept up with the running much better than me!  I was in a recovery/burn out phase still when I got my bfp and just never got back into as much as I wanted.  I've done some 5ks, a few that really kicked my 1st tri ass.  I can't imagine doing halfs at that point!  I've mostly been doing yoga and swimming lately.  Come spring, I'm really hoping to get my rear in gear!

    It's a really expensive city overall. We're in a one-bedroom rent-controlled place but if we move to get more space (which will be needed at some point), our rent will go up by at least $2k/month. 

    Also, the public schools here are a disaster so you have to pay for private schooling. I have a friend who is paying $25k/year for pre-school!??! Insane. 

    Daycare/Childcare is also off the charts expensive. If you are really really really rich, you can figure out a way in this city to have a child. But otherwise, it's next to impossible which is sad bc I don't want to be forced out.

    Hmm that's a good question!! I really feel like this is the best time to become parents as we both feel ready, but of I had to pick, I would say continue on with my education and branch out career wise.

    Haha no, just funny how that worked out! :x
    I love to go hiking with my husband, hang out by the pool at my in-laws, nap in our hammock, and pretty much anything else outdoors. And when I wasn't pregnant, I did the same exact things, I just drank a lot!

    lizzielu82 I can relate...I was born and raised in SF (live in NYC now) but the concerns you voiced are all valid and rough...My mom was a single parent and was able to get financial aid for me to go to private schools... I had to catch Muni  from Bernal Heights to the Seacliff for 3 years! But outside of those things you listed, it really is a great city for kids! I LOVED growing up there!

    Thank you!! It was a labor of love (literally) to plan everything myself from so far away and it turned out better than I could have imagined. I could AW all day with pictures of it but I'll just leave this one for now. ;)

    That's a tough one! I have "Peaches" stuck in my head right now thanks to the thread on not believing the US tech. 

    "Once", the Broadway version (based on the movie) and all those songs were so amazing live. If they travel to where you live I highly recommend the show. It was just awesome.

    Me too!  I never competed though but I did work with a trainer/coach and I think if I had stuck with it I may have done some casual competing.  It was FUN and I miss it.

    Yup, Mark is the DH.  Most people don't know that at one point he was a pro-wrestler, like WWF before it was WWE.  Didn't go super famous, but he was in the ring with a few famous wrestlers and is still friends with a lot of the guys in TNA.  He still bumps in a local show every so often.



    My DH is a huge wrestling fan and would love your DH!

    Sorry for the delay - was at OB/GYN appt :).

    I'm happy to be on The Bump; was blessed to have had an easy conception, and am thrilled to be on the N14 board specifically, because you ladies are all awesome.

    @absolutelymaybe If this is too invasive or dumb, feel free to tell me to shut it. 
    I know you guys went with IVF, which I think is the neatest thing ever. Were you awake for the procedure and if so did you get to watch the procedure on a monitor? I have seen the youtube vids of it and it amazes me.  I just can't imagine the feels of seeing and going through that.
