MIA because barnacle baby alllll day yesterday=sttn. Hallelujah! Nursed both sides, pumped and she's back to sleep.
I'm going to sub at work today and I'm bringing LO with me- that should be interesting. I'm excited, I miss my little germ monster preschoolers. And they are obsessed with LO, because obviously she's cute and nice and popular.
We have a wedding this weekend and MIL will be babysitting. This is the longest stretch I've ever been away from LO. Any advice for me? I'm going to call the venue and check if they have a place for me to pump... It's not attached to the hotel, so I can't just go to a room or something. What else do I need to think about?
Older DS has been running a fever since last night and is miserable, DH isn't feeling good and my dog is sick again....Not going to be a fun day here. Just have to power through today...

My 2 month old baby is slightly mobile. No bueno.
(Kicks/pushes against the ground to slide around on her back on her activity mat. She's off of it within three minutes. )
Logan does this too

@celticlullaby that's a good idea. I'll call around noon and see how he's doing today. Not gonna lie, I'm totally OK with being a pain in the ass after that crap went down.
Who forgets to feed a baby - new to the job or not??!!??!! Pretty sure the baby will tell you it's hungry. I mean did she just let him sit there and pitch a fit for hours?? Because I'm fairly certain that's what my little guy would do if I "forgot" to feed him!
Packing for our first trip with LO. We are flying to Milwaukee tomorrow and staying through Sunday. Nervous about so many things - how he'll do on the flight (I hope his poor little ears don't hurt!), etc, but mostly about what to do with my extra pumped breast milk. The thought of dumping it pains me! WWRTTD?? Even bother to try to get it home? Or not worth the hassle?
@ColleenSwerb - I EBF but I have to pump first thing in the AM & right before bed. I have an oversupply. It's regulating much more now, and I want to keep the supply I have currently and not let it go down since I am going back to work in a few weeks and I fear my supply will decrease then. So I'll bring my pump & pump the same each day. I guess I'm just being silly about not wanting to dump what I would otherwise put in my freezer stash. I probably ought to just let it go.
I think travel time all told is like 5-6 hours since we have a layover.
I just wonder if it's worth the hassle....I'll have to freeze it at the hotel and then transport it home in a cooler. What if it thaws some in the cooler in the way home? Those bags are small and I fear they would defrost quickly. And I can't re-freeze if it thaws out....?
I'll add that I've flown with full bottles and sippy cups several times ad we've always been allowed through with no hassle, from many different airports. They paid more attention to the desitin tube I forgot was in my bag.

First day back at work and so far so good. I was an ugly crying mess in the car but I've held it together so far and I pumped 4oz! The most I've ever pumped at one is 2oz so I was nervous.
@eireyes how did she forget to feed him? I would have lost my mind!
Took LO to get his shots yesterday and they were out of one of the vaccines so now I have to call wveryday and see if tye have it and go back He didn't end up getting any of them because id rather do it all at once then put him through two horrid days
He thanked me for the no shots by basically sleeping all day aside from waking up to eat Today he is ravenous . Must be growth spurt because we are at 22 ounces and he's been awake for the day since around 9
@eireyes how did she forget to feed him? I would have lost my mind!
That was the question I had! They're lucky I'm usually slow on my responses when dumbfounded, plus I was already annoyed with the gal I was dealing with at the time and Aiden was a hot mess (go figure!) so I was in a GTFO mindset.
Off to make my check-in call with daycare... They'd better be spoiling Aiden rotten today...

Do they mark on a sheet when he eats how much and how long it takes to eat? If they don't I would make them start doing it.

They do (the how much he eats, not how long), that's the asinine part - it was staring them in the face! It's not like they have ten kids in his room either, so I'm going to just chalk it up to stupid new teacher mistakes and keep an eye on that one...
The center directer has been falling all over herself apologizing today (rightfully so) and she's going to be watching a lot closer from now also. I just called to check in and told them again how upset I was over the whole ordeal, and that they need to shape up or we'll leave.
Best of luck @ebie79 - that's scary! I dread T's first sickness. I can imagine how stressful that must be for you. I hope your LO is on the mend soon!
So one of the Duggar girls got married over the weekend, and of course, they saved their first kiss for the wedding. What is the wedding night like for a couple like this? Do you start with just kissing on night 1 or go for the whole shebang? It seems so awkward.
I was in a wedding where my friends did that. I bawled my eyes out at that kiss. And they waited until the next afternoon for sex.

@ebie79 fx that LO is feeling better soon. Fevers at this age are scary business.
@colleenswerb that sounds like a truly horrible start to your day. Hope it gets better and involves two peacefully napping children, a refreshing nap for you and a large, cold beer. And cake. Definitely cake.
@eireyes - that is crazy! Hope your LO gets proper care from now on, and that you can sort everything out with the insurance!
@ColleenSwerb, hope your day gets better and you can enjoy a little nap
@Ashleyahann - good for you for keeping it together at work! And yay, for 4oz
@ebie79 - prayers for your LO that the fever will go down and he feels better soon!
So, after taunting me with 8 straight Sunday night, DD decided to go back to 4 hrs last night I know I shouldn't complain, cuz some moms still aren't getting 4 consistently, but this bait and switch thing is killing me! Le sigh...

Someone's a super snuggle bug today. His sad face just kills me. How can I not just sit on the couch and snuggle?!
Next mon-wed I'm babysitting a 4 1/2 year old all day. I'm a tiny but terrified at this glimpse into my potential future. Thankfully he's a really well mannered boy that I've always truly loved watching.

@eireyes I would be upset about daycare forgetting the bottle, absolutely. But the girl LYING about it to cover it up is outrageous. The daycare facility should think long and hard about keeping employees that lie about things like that.
@ebie79 I hope the fever breaks for good very soon! Sorry your LO is sick.

ETA: I would, however, if there was a search option. How have they not added that yet!?
ETAA: Never mind. I see they do, and probably always have. Carry on! Ignore my waste of a post.
