Did a 2.3mi walk this morning down to the shopping center. Went to the dollar store for some stuff for my sisters bridal shower favors this weekend, went to Home Goods and bought a cute octopus hanger thingy for DS's room, and went to DSW and got a new pair of comfy flip flops. Came home for lunch, and while the kids didn't cooperate enough for me to shower, they did nap enough so I could finish off all the thank you cards. I'll get then addressed tonight and sent tomorrow and be DONE!
I am impressed! That is more than I get done in a week with only one child!
@BiggerinRealLife I didn't think about that. I'm sure I'm in for a world of worry as long as I'm alive. :P My MIL will make us* text her whenever we're get to where we're going when we're leaving for a trip. I have a feeling she'll do that even after we move out... lol

At the dr with DS1, he has been complaining that his head hurts for a few weeks now. Only nervous because he has a massive head and they said to watch out for headaches.
How long is your LO awake between naps? I think this is where my mommy guilt comes from. He eats every 2 hours so he wakes up, eats, I change him and he plays on his mat. He yawns and gets fussy about 45 minutes after waking up so I put him to bed then. Is this not enough time to interact? I just want him to get enough sleep..
Emma takes about four 30 minute naps all day, so she is awake most of the day.
I am so excited! Took the last few unopened packs of size one diapers Sullivan has grown out of to Target for store credit and bought a badass kick piano play mat. I can't wait to bust it out and see how this kicking fool likes his new toy.
He's been such a good little dude today, slept the whole two hours we were out without daddy, stopped home to grab DH, and currently at our second stop chugging a bottle with only about a minute of fussing to let me know he was awake and ready to eat. Operation run errands with the kid while DH sprays for bugs = such a success! AND we dtd before I left. Happy freaking Monday, y'all, it is a good day in Albinland!
I need to find a mom's group...so far today I spoke to zero grownups because someone has decided to become a barnacle baby and only be happy when attached to my person.
Poor DS1! The dr said 2 year olds complaining about headaches are extremely rare so we have to get his vision tested and test him for seizures. My poor baby!
Kiddo has mixed feelings about the kick and play action. He kicked the hell out of the piano and batted at the toys for a few minutes and then he started to cry his eyes out. I think his new awesome toy blew his baby mind.
Hi RTT! :-h it's been a long weekend at the in laws, but we are finally 2 hrs from home. Hope everyone had a good weekend!
I spent a good portion of mine listening to mil tell me how she thinks her one granddaughter is the cutest grand kid she has. (And no, it was my dd she was talking about) Who the hell does that!?! And not once, but multiple times a day! %-(
Reasons why today is great: 1. B slept for like 10 hours straight last night. 2. Crossfit kicked my a$$ 3. I'm following up Crossfit with Chinese food. 4. We are going to Mommy and Me at the library tomorrow. Hopefully we make some mommy/baby friends.
E sucks ass at sleeping during the day,but I have to brag on her night time sleeping because homegirl is a champ. Around 8:30 she takes her last bottle and falls asleep and I put her in the PnP. She sleeps until 5 or 6am, gets her diaper changed, has another bottle and sleeps for 3 more hours. The feed around 5 or 6, she doesn't want to be awake anymore than I do, most of the time she never opens her eyes and from the first cry to back to bed is less than 25 minutes. The trade off for her awesomeness is that during the day she doesn't want to miss a thing and is awake pretty much all day long except for three or four 30 minute cat naps.
Confession: DH got super pissy with the cats today because he got into bed and felt what he thought was cat litter. I know it's not because they aren allowed in our room now that Lucas is here. What he actually felt was crumbs from lactation cookies that I bring to bed at night. ">
I also NIP today sans cover at Target. It went surprisingly well considering DD doesn't always like to latch right away.
Poor LO spiked a fever from her shots and has just been miserable. I finally gave her Tylenol, and she's passed out, so fx she sleeps well tonight and feels much better tomorrow
Can't sleep, which is normal. DH can't sleep because he's suddenly gotten serious about looking for jobs in Michigan. He knows how much I'd like to move back, so it's sweet, but I don't want him stressing out!

So one of the Duggar girls got married over the weekend, and of course, they saved their first kiss for the wedding. What is the wedding night like for a couple like this? Do you start with just kissing on night 1 or go for the whole shebang? It seems so awkward.
@fourthnlast we are on an almost identcal sleeping schedule. I said to my husband today that I would rather she wake up once in the MOTN and then give me a nice hour nap in the middle of the day. He told me I am going to regret saying that....
@fireflygirl12 did you see the first kiss picture? Arched back dip perfect picture kiss. That couldn't have been their first my first kiss wasn't nearly as pretty lol
LO has been down for an hour and here I am, fucking wide awake as usual. I hate this! It's so infuriating. I'm tired and I can't sleep, I'm so bad at going back to bed after a night feeding. I've tried everything, nothing works. I just get more and more angry as I lay there trying to sleep.
It's only 1:30 am and I've already ugly cried...I have 6 more nights of this. (
I don't know if this would make you too sleepy for MOTN feedings, but have you tried taking melatonin? I've never tried it but heard it worked for some.

It's only Tuesday, and it's already the week from hell. Picked up Aiden from daycare yesterday at 4:45, and his sheet said the last time he'd had a bottle was 12:30. The woman trying to change his diaper couldn't manage to get it on him for a good three minutes because he was so upset and beside himself, so I finally just told her I'd do it so we could leave because I was so angry. Daycare phoned later saying they'd forgotten to write his last bottle on the sheet (supposedly at 3:00), but yet I somehow managed to come home with a full third bottle. The only thing I can figure is they defrosted the milk in the freezer instead of using the bottle, which blows because I hadn't gotten to switch it to a bag that was pumped post dairy exclusion.
Got home, and I get a hospital bill for the full $14K for my stay because my insurance company is being a total asshole about the whole thing, so I have to fight with them more to cover my supposedly 100% covered maternity care, which they're trying to cover at 0%.
To top it all off this morning? DH and LO got rear ended on the way to daycare and work. Supposedly it's very minor and only scratches, but FFS, its only Tuesday morning and I'm so over this week it isn't even funny.
~X(
Edit: So DH just dropped Aiden off at daycare, and our gut instincts were unfortunately confirmed. The new girl at daycare didn't feed Aiden after 12:00, and then lied to the head of the center. DH called them out on it by pointing out the full bottle I brought home. My poor Aiden. I'm so furious it's a good thing I wasn't the one dropping Aiden off or I would have been hauled next door to the police station and arrested for murder.

We call DD's changing pad her happy place but I never thought about moving it out of the nursery. Genius!
Yuuusssss. I see why they did it I guess.. we're soft
@celticlullaby - that is awesome! My LO loves her changing pad too. Weird kids.
@Stace0616 - that is flippin' adorable!
