KJ took a 3 hour nap today. She was up late and still slept about 11 hours but if she wants to sleep I let her unless I have to wake her up to go somewhere.

Just finished Lily's book for her 1st year on Shutterfly (free book needed to be used). That took more thought than I would have imagined considering all of the pics I have of her. Also, while doing this, I realized that we have very few (like May 10 out of hundreds of pics) of Lily and H's family. They chronically don't spend the time with her, so they are pretty much nonexistent in the photo documentation of the 1st of her life.

I miss you all!!!
I'm so glad were done with our summer vacations and LO's party. It went good but it was so freaking hot outside. I just caught up with the past couple days and here is what I remember after a couple ruby red birds.
1.) @tiffletons518‌ I love your tattoo, but don't you know salads are not the hangover cure? You need a burger!
2.) I'm still dying over the @calikat80‌ box car story and the wine covered dog @NurseMommy13‌ .
3.) @WasNotWas‌ you and Bradley looked adorable on your run.
4.) @ColieAnn31‌, hope you SO reads your letter and y'all have a good long talk. You and Grayson deserve so much more.
5.) @subliminalrabbit‌, I can't believe someone broke into your car I'm so sorry. At least you get to move soon. Hope E had a good party.

Just got home from a busy day. Went to a sprinkle, had 3 mimosas, yummy lunch and now I'm watching the baby while DH goes out with some friends. Why can't he stay home and watch him while I nap!

I'm sad I have not been able to keep up with spam this week. I needed to pop in to say I go back to work tomorrow! I'm a little nervous, mostly about getting out of the house on time. If you don't hear from me at some point tomorrow that means TB is now blocked at my work and I will want to kill someone. Also, I should be at my cousins wedding right now, but I came home to put DD to bed and am waiting for my dad to come over to babysit. I hope I'm not missing dinner.

Can I have a quick vent? I love my ils, especially my fil, my mil is great, but can be a handful. We've been picking up the house for Js bday this weekend and all weekend my mil has been blowing up dh's phone, one of the messages was an emergency that she couldn't find her keys. I don't mind helping, but she knew that picking up our house was our priority this weekend. I just get a little burnt out about her acting like DH is at her beck and call.

Blood related family, no problem. Anyone else though is weird. But I was also raised in a very huggy/kissy/lovey family so that's prob why I don't see it as a big deal.

@CL8badB‌ every once in awhile I'll give j a kiss on the mouth when I'm playing with her(I'm gonna steal kisses and she'll giggle) but I usually kiss her cheeks or head. It annoys me when other people do it

We don't even kiss him on the mouth. I would be livid if someone else did. (I acknowledge I have very strong opinions on this) :-) But, I would simply say "please don't kiss him on the mouth." If they take issue with it, then too bad for them. I'd be rude at that point if I had to.

I didn't have a kissy family growing up but my husband and I love kissing our sweet girl.

I kiss Grayson on the mouth but only when it's not covered in slobber. He loves giving kisses and I love his kisses so most of the time I'll wipe his mouth off first. I also don't care if he gives our parents or siblings kisses on the mouth. They can have all the slobbery ones

This for me. Edited to add that when we were growing up, my mom would tell us they were the only ones it was ok to kiss, so I've always thought parents only.

No mouth kissing here. I think that mouth kissing reserved for your significant other and that is it. Everybody else gets cheek kisses.

On DD2's first birthday, I had the party outside and it was overcast and chilly and we all sat outside in hoodies. It was not the most fun. The next year, she played in a kiddie pool. This year since I'm doing the party for both of them, I decided to push the party back a full week. Give me a better chance of nice weather since I absolutely positively cannot fit people inside my house in my teeny tiny rental. The forecast now says 87 for that day. Awesome. I'm now wishing I would've just planned it for this coming up weekend. It's only supposed to be like 75. Dang. It.
