Out street is having a street yard sale so I put out a bunch of my baby things since my baby making days are over. A woman came and was interested in my pack n play. I noticed her shirt which was a Down syndrome awareness shirt. I started making small talk with her and she told me she adopted 2 Down syndrome babies. They are now 2.5 and 3 yrs of age. She said she was looking for one because the boys don't walk and she wanted something to put them in outside ( I guess they have sensory issues too so grass really bothers them). As I was carrying the pack n play to her car she tells me that one of the boys is a twin. Once he was diagnosed with Down syndrome at 6 weeks she gave him up for adoption!! My heart is breaking right now. Apparently the mom, who apparently comes from a well to do family in the area, was prepared for twins and was excited to have them and then just decided she didn't want a special needs child after they diagnosed them. I know I shouldn't judge but I think that it such a shitty thing to do. Thank goodness he ended up with his adopted family because it takes a special person to willingly adopt special needs children.
And I actually got out and ran ~5k this morning with LO! I had to take a couple walk breaks, but I feel pretty good about it. And I had a chat with DH about needing his help to facilitate some runs during the week (and he was very supportive) - things are looking up!
That is wonderful and awesome news @lioness13 y'all have been in my T's&P's since you posted about the accident. So glad she is so close to home as she recovers!
@sctiger I know I'm several hours late, but does she like baths? When I am at the end of my rope, putting him in the water with some toys usually buys me a little non-screaming time.
I give single mom's so many props. DH is normally out of town mon-thurs but this week its mon-sun. Those extra 3 days are wearing me out! At least he's off for 7 straight days!
So yesterday afternoon DH got home from work early so he called his parents to see if they wanted a visit from LO. They said no, which is totally unlike them. We were convinced we did something to piss them off (these are the ILs who didn't speak to us for weeks because we didn't invite ourselves over to look for Easter baskets that we didn't know they made for us). We spent all night trying to figure out what we did. We got them special presents today at the beach. We stopped by and dropped off the stuff on our way home. When we went in their house reeked of..."herbal refreshment." Turns out they weren't pissed, jus enjoying their Friday.
@CatalinaPink Nah. I have problems deleting pics on my phone. TB freezes and my phone totally freaks out. Oh, and thanks! We have to do it inside because we live in an apartment with no porch. The table cloth save a lot!
Thoughts on a 3-year old soccer league? One of Bradley's friends recently left daycare so she is looking for ways to socialize him now that he has a nanny. They only meet once a week, on Saturdays and they will all be 3.5 when they start
@whitney2302 Js been sleeping without a sleepsack for about a week now and hes totally fine without it.
I took it off of him bc he had a heat rash and i was afraid that maybe he was getting to warm with it at night.
So far do good!
Good! I've let Lyndin sleep without it a few times and he's done fine. I'm just afraid of him getting cold in the night! Does J still wear footed pajamas to bed?
@WasNotWas I have heard they are cute but kind of a waste of money until like 5 they all just run around confused and trying to get the ball. It is cute though!
Since the AC was out, I pulled out my mommy's juice cup and raft (from mom swap @Cricket81) and floated around the pool until they fixed it. I may be tipsy.

It's $129 for 2 months, so 7-8 Saturdays so like $17/week
I don't even know really. I am exhausted, my head hurts, we were supposed to watch a movie when Grayson went to bed but now A has decided he wants to play video games. I should have just gone out of town with my parents instead of stay here to spend time with him since he has a 3 day weekend.

So I just had the most ridiculous thing happen. On my run I saw and amazing curbside toddler Thomas bed frame that had a note on it that said they used it as ball pit. We have a big yard and it was perfect for another fun pen/ climbing structure. I came home, showered and threw on a boob accessible dress because my inlaws were coming over for dinner (and still nursing, not accessible for them! Haha). Anyway after dinner I mention the awesome Thomas two blocks over and DH is like, let's go get it while my parents are here to watch the kids, because we knew we would need to walk it back as it wouldn't fit in the car. So I go ahead of DH to make sure it's still there and I am walking alone down the street. I got checked out and then hit on my a bunch of guys at a college graduation party, they kept asking me to come have a beer (totally flattered). One of their sisters even ran after me and asked me to wave and tell congratulations to John because they all think I'm hot. Now my self esteem was like, they are just mocking me, but I realized they were drunk and far away so it probably was legit. Anyway, I go to the Thomas bed frame down the block and DH meets me. We decide the easiest way to carry it is Fred Flintstone style with us standing in the frame and walking. So not 10 minutes after these guys were thinking I was all cute and solo, I come chuffing down the street in a fucking Thomas train with my husband. I honestly felt so ridiculous I wanted to yell, "how ya like me now boys?!"
