File putting down area rugs with a helpful friend as a witness under Things That Will Test Your Marriage. But the hardwood floors that we bought a month before Josie was born are finally in! Three days out of the house with a newborn, several spats, and a broken bed (not our fault. Stupid contractor) later, look how pretty! SO freaking happy to see the swamp thing carpets we had finally gone. Now I just need LO to grow up enough I can put her in her own room, and I can finish decorating the bedroom!

I must be stupid in my mouth. :-((
Haha yeah, I'm glad my [chef] husband hasn't seen that episode. It drives him nuts that I don't dig fungus.
Same here! My (chef) husband's one complaint is that I hate mushrooms.
OMG - life changing discovery! Switched the swing to go forward and backward instead of side to side. He likes it now! I got 2 loads of laundry folded.
I feel so stupid I didn't try that before, but his brother was such side to side man, it never occurred to me.
:-O You're a genius! My baby girl hates the back and forth motion, but I never thought to try side-to-side! I'm trying that tomorrow. If she doesn't like that either, then she just hates the swing. Good thing it was a gift.
LO is having a bad reflux night, but I seriously cannot get her to take her meds! I've tried all the tricks I can think of, and I'm lucky if she swallows a small fraction of what she's supposed to. So frustrating! Thankfully she's sleeping tonight, but I worry she's not eating enough. @celticlullaby I'm glad to hear of your experience. She has mostly been refusing to nurse, so I was considering just pumping and bottle feeding full time for the sake of my sanity, but if there is hope, I'd love to return to full time nursing until I go back to work
@aviola329 she does, but I fear as soon as she tastes the medicine she'll spit it out. It's worth a shot though! I think I'm going to call her ped's office tomorrow to see if they can offer any suggestions. @rtv3 I think for you, it would be 6pm-9pm

March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
Bummer. I will miss happy hour with your ladies tomorrow. My sister is coming in from Austin to meet the baby so we will be at my brothers house with the family. Have fun ladies! Can't wait to join in next time!
Hi Ladies. I just got caught up for today, but it is late, I am tired, and I can't remember what I read. Going to participate in happy hour tomorrow, but I'll be refraining from alcoholic beverages. I'm trying to pump to donate to a milk bank (almost 100 oz in the freezer now) and I don't want to have to dump anything.
Hugs to those who need them and hope everyone is getting/will get sleep tonight.
My insurance company has a maternity support program with nurses that call you once a trimester and twice after you have your baby to offer support and answer questions. I understand that it could be helpful for a FTM who isn't on the Bump, but I found it pointless and annoying that they always called me at work and wanted to talk for 15 minutes. I didn't want to participate, but they kept calling me until I signed up.
Today I got called from a company that survey's woman who have completed the maternity support program to ask how useful they found it. When we finished with all of the questions, they asked for my age, and started listing off age ranges. By the time they got to 85-94, 95-104 I was laughing. Don't they realize that they are speaking to women who have just been PREGNANT. When I mentioned that I found the idea of a 104 year old pregnant woman funny, the guy just said "thank you for your comment."
Apparently he didn't want to be on the phone any more than I did.
Oh well, I as snuggling with this happy girl during the call...

We outgrew the napper and are doing the full pnp mattress. She falls asleep easy but is up every three hours again when we were getting consistent 5 followed by 4. Oh well. We will just have to keep at it.
Both kids are down for the night! We just started watching the show the following. That mike character is YUMMY. Cant wait for a big glass of wine mañana. Getting both kids down by 8:30 every night if successful is going to make my life soooo wonderful. A little evening me time was what I have been missing.

I'd be more concerned with the fact that they even think it's an option to be pregnant at 100!
I wish it were appropriate to text people at 2am during pumpings...
I have a friend with a new baby, and we always text each other around 3 am with quotes from that State Farm commercial. "It's Jake... From State Farm." --"what are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?" "Khakis."

I also have a good friend with a 4 week old and we text back and forth all night. The funny thing is lately we've both been up multiple times a night so I'll text her at 11, she'll respond at 1, I'll reply at 3, etc. Most of our texts are just complaints about being tired lol. And at least there's this thread!
I track Noah's feedings and diaper changes with BabyConnect. There needs to be an option on the diaper change button for "shart". Every diaper, I swear!
I cannot get DS to sleep in his crib! Had him in there for 1/2 hour GIO and replacing pacifier every few minutes. Finally said fuck this noise and put him in the RNP and the kid was out in 2 minutes flat. I'm going to die when he out grows that thing (which is looking like sooner than later).

Oh man. There's gonna be a day when they don't fit anymore huh? Like, that'll be a thing. Fuuuuuuuuuck.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to try to slowly transition baby girl to her bassinet during naps. But if I try to do that, I won't get anything done during the day. If I try at night, I won't get any sleep! Lose/lose situation.
February Siggy Challenge: Favorite TV couple ~ Jim & Pam
I usually rock the swing for the first sleep shift and then can get her into bassinet for the second one (which we just woke up from an hour for our morning eat and poop) I realized last night we don't have much time left in the bassinet.
So I stayed up until 1:00 Bumping and reading GoT. Then DS woke me up at 2:00 for no apparent reason (wouldn't tell me why he was crying for me.). Now it is 3:00 and I'm up nursing Carlene. Tomorrow is gonna suck.
Think Jake from State Farm will take care of my kids since he is up anyway?

How is it possible that I have hemorrhoids now worse than when I was pregnant??!! I had a C Section, no pushing, and I am drinking more water now b/c of breastfeeding than I probably ever have in my life!! I can't deal with my ass hurting in addition to my boobs/nipples. Ugh!! (

That's awesome! But it would be nice to text back people you need to get back to. I've got ideas at 2am, man! That's when I remember to tell people things i forget about during the day.
When does it actually become a habit that you have to worry about breaking? I put Lucas in bed with me every morning after his bottle to get a couple more hours of sleep out of him. I am not worried about it at all now. Just need to figure out when I should stop doing it so he isn't expecting it.
@Mamamonzo,my dd would come back to bed with us for an early am nap for several months. At daycare she would just sleep there for about an hour when I dropped her off. She dropped that nap eventually and we never had any issues with her sleeping elsewhere or "expecting" to nap in our bed. Hope that helps!

@macgrs B hates when I look at my phone when I feed her. She's like, "mom, this is our bonding time".
@KatieGummow we should text because I was thinking the sMe thing last night.
@dani+california B has two short chunks of sleep in the AM too. It's annoying but that first long sleep is great.

Me: go to bed.
DH: ..... What's the catch?
Me: uh, you catch up on your sleep?
He's snoring away and I've got fussipants in the k'tan cuddling on the couch.

I am stupid in the mouth, too. Things growing on poop don't appeal to me. It needs to be mixed in the soil. Out if sight...
