  • @SLSchuerg‌ Where are you located? An hour in TX time is a hop skip and a jump away!

@KatieGummow‌ Oh darn! I should know better. Well mine are beasts but also flea bags ;) I love German Chocolate cake. Also funfetti-the kind from the box. Also, pie. Also, cupcakes. All kinds.

Thanks for all the welcomes! Y'all are so friendly. And very entertaining-especially on nights like tonight where Noah thinks sleep is for the weak.
  • @SoulTermination‌ glad to hear she's on the mend, poor little thing!
  • Coooooool. How to ruin an awesome day? With hubster yelling that he needs to just get away from me after me not wanting to have sex. Coooool.

  • Like seriously, I fucking rocked today. Grocery shopped at. 8. Took Mer into the office with me (had to go in for a meeting) from 9-1:30. Visited hubster at work. Cleaned the apartment. Pumped. Nursed. Sterilized bottles. Went to a meeting for an organization I'm a board member of. Made dinner. Bought tickets for our trip home. Bathed Merri. Rocked her to sleep. I'M SORRY I DON'T WANT TO SUCK YOUR DICK. God. Seriously. It's so infuriating. What about me?!? It isn't easy to say, "Hey I actually don't want to fool around. I'm tired. I'm overstimulated and I just want to hang out" because that will upset him but if I don't say anything he sulks and is upset. Like, come on man. I can't win. And it's not even that I want to win. I just want some compassion. Bleh. I feel so shitty now.

  • Life keeps shitting on me. I don't know how much more my heart can take. I wish something would actually happen to myself so I could have a real excuse to bitch and be depressed, but nothing is worse than seeing my family hurt or struggle. Bad day..
  • Sending you all the hugs and cake @kseccomb17

  • Alera's fever seems to have broken, it was 99-something a bit ago when the nurse took her temp and checked her vitals. She's finally eating again, though she still has a bit of diarrhea. Poor thing had to have both her arms poked for blood draws, and then her heel pricked because they couldn't get enough blood for the third test from her arms. Also had to have a catheter for a sterile urine sample and a spinal tap to (hopefully) rule out bacterial meningitis. They're planning on keeping her for at least 48 hours unless she starts doing really, really well, but we're a lot less freaked out than we were this morning. Thanks for the T&Ps, everyone! :x
So glad to hear your LO is doing better! I had to play some catch up and when I read about her high fever I was so concerned! Glad to see the update! Hope all works out well for you and Alera!

Drake didn't decided to get up for his motn bottle at 3:00 instead of 1:30-2:00
Should be interesting to see if he gets up at normal time around 7 or sleeps a bit more
I predict 7 . Boy is serious about his breakfast

@CollenSwerb I think our LO's planned this together or something. DD usually is a 'nurse back to sleep' baby for MOTN feedings. Tonite, despite nursing both sides, swaddling, burping, and rocking, she has been up since 3:30 (went down at 12:30) - wide awake. Momma needs sleep!

  • I try not to complain because, let's face it, I have the cutest/best Gummow twins in the world and my life is pretty easy in the scheme of things...but...
Ryan is back at work this week after having all of May off (another reason I shouldn't be complaining) I had (and have been having) the boys all by myself (I move to the guest room at 5:30-6am and sleep until 8-9 and Ryan takes care of them while I am sleeping) from 9am to 6:30pm, which is fine! We agreed on this. He is supposed to stop working at 6 and put his dad hat on, which he usually does and does well. Not today!

Bath/bottle/bed: Ryan has Carter and I have Pat; put him down dead asleep at 830 and skip dinner so I can go tanning (yeah, yeah I know.). Get home at 9:10 and as soon as I walk through the door:
    "Patrick is awake?" (Me)
    "Yeah, here."
    "Ooookay... You stressed out?"
"No, I need a break. I have been rocking the boys to sleep all night while you were out."
    "What."
"I've been working all day and then rocking boys all night. You were gone for a long time."
[insert sarcastic comments I could have said a little nicer]
    ---
    11:00pm
    "What are you doing?" (DH)
"Rocking Pat to sleep then Waking up Carter to feed him because I don't want them waking up at different times to eat."
    "[some douchy comment]"
"Says the man going to sleep."
"Well, I have to work in the morning."
    *Roll over and start snoring*
    [fuck. You.]
    ---
Boys Woke up at the same time at 1:30 to eat again. One was crying pretty loud for a moment and woke up DH.
*roll over to the other side and commence snores*
    ---
Usually Ryan is awesome which is why I am super upset at him. Ugh! TP. This weekend I am going to have him do every single night feeding for both the boys (he's only done this once or twice with one baby) while I just pump. He doesn't understand how 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep differs from 9 hours of broken up sleep (which is only really maybe 6 hours of actual sleep).

    I. Am. Exhausted.

Fuck me, I hear the toddler making noise in his room. ::cries ::

Oh no! Lots of hugs! Hopefully, they'll both take a long nap at the same time today so you can get some sleep :)
DD finally went down after almost 3hrs of nursing and rocking - praying she stays asleep!

I always do night feedings because it's way too annoying to listen to him bitch about it. Plus it throws off our night and Chase doesn't go right back to sleep. But I throw it in his face all the time that he doesn't offer. He shouldn't wonder why we barely have sex.

Edit to add I'm back to work full time too. SO is off for another few weeks..
