DS is on his second day of marathon feeding, I am stuck on the couch. At least today I smartened up, put the boppy tilted under him to keep him at the breast, and turned on my PlayStation.

Damn, now I have to game all day.

DD stares off into the distance when shes feeding sometimes and I'll take the bottle out of her mouth and she becomes a statue. I then say in my best Agnes robot voice (Despicable me 2 reference) "she kisses my booboos, she braids my hair..." I'm weird.

Yes! DH and I sometimes put a blanket over her head and she'll close her eyes. We joke that DD is like a parrot.

LO went two 4 hour stretches between feedings last night. Amazing for my sleep, bad for my poor right boob! She wasn't eating much before bed either. She'd only eat for a few minutes and then pull off, so my boob probably wasn't sufficiently drained to begin with. Thankfully, after 8 hours of not eating on the right side, she was apparently ravenous, and it is much better now!

This was my night last night too! Except that she was gassy and didn't want to eat much when she usually eats from both sides. Right one was untouched since 1 this morning, so when she woke up at 9, I put her right on! Sweet relief.

Little guy slept over 5 hours last night!!!!

I still had to get up to pump, but DH fed him around 5, back to sleep by 6, and it's after 8 and he's still sleeping!!!!

Omg yes, the eyes! DD makes sounds reminiscent of zombies in movies and between that, the eyes, and her trying to latch onto whatever she can, she can be pretty scary in the dark.

We've stayed home the last 2 days.
Debating whether to try and find someone to meet up with for a "play date" (someone with kids)/ coffee (no kids) or to venture out today on our own. DH isn't coming home for lunch so we've got to do something or this day is going to drag on forever.

Some people are cleared before then. I was told 4 weeks, probably because I only had a small 1st degree tear. I'm pretty sure we had a few mamas who didn't tear at all get cleared even sooner.

WTF aside - when I asked the doctor if I tore, he said, "Not really, more of a skid mark." I mean, I'm glad I avoided a vagasshole, but there wasn't a better way to word it?

My Doctor told me I had a skid mark too! I wasn't even sure what he meant and I was too chicken to look to find out.

Day two of Aiden getting pissed off at the boobs. Tried gas drops, tried gripe water a little bit ago. Part of me thinks it could just be that he's used to pooping while nursing and now he's trying so hard to keep that going it hurts, but part of me wonders if he's developing a food allergy/intolerance. Any moms on here find out their LO had an intolerance? How did you know? I had a dairy one as a baby myself, so I'm kinda wondering if maybe that's the reason for Aiden turning into a red screaming monster while on the boob.

I'm so frustrated with BF right now, if for no other reason that it's just feels like torture. First reflux, now this - can't we catch a break? :-??

Does anyone else get creeped out when LO stares at the ceiling behind you or at the wall behind you? LO always manages to stare right past me sometimes in the middle of the night in his semi dark nursery, and it creeps me out...

I ALWAYS end up looking, as if he actually sees something. But I'm a totally paranoid person.

Before baby, our cat always did this. He would sit and stare at one particular spot and We use to joke that cats have better senses, and he could probably see a ghost or spirit. Now the baby stares at the same spots. We may watch too many paranormal shows...

No joke, I'm convinced babies see ghosts

I've always just bought into the 'bump in the night' and have a great ability to freak myself out.
