  • So peeved at DH. We rotate feedings. Usually dd gets a bottle before bed from him and I sleep. Well he had paperwork to do so I gave it to her. He said he'd to the morning one instead. I get up in the middle of the night and he's out here on fb. So of course he won't want to do the morning one bc he works tomorrow. Thanks jerk. I wanted sleep too! :-w
  • 4 am.. I go back to work in 4 hrs. Nursed LO & now I can't put him down :((

My son is to the minute 3 hours between feedings at night, wakes up I look at my clock and I'm never surprised.
    When will he sleep longer?

Also anyone else sweat when you nurse? I do for nursing and pumping :-/

  • I was cleared almost two weeks ago, but DH doesn't want to have sex. I'm pretty bummed. I thought he would be chomping at the bit- especially Since we have both had our birthdays and our wedding anniversary during these two weeks. I'm convinced he's scarred for life from labor and delivery and not turned on anymore, but he won't admit it.
  • @mrscrcalli‌ me! I always sweat! Maybe it's because we're burning calories or something?

I'm going with that.. Full on !

  • Lo had a 7 hour stretch last night! It was awesome! Now if he could be a bit happier during the day, that'd be cool. He fusses and cries all day long, still. I'm going to ask about reflux at his 2 mo appt because I just want an answer besides "normal baby development."

Best night in months!! We got toddler asleep by 8:30. LO asleep at 9:30. I pumped at 10 before I went to bed. Toddler is still sleeping now at 6am. Hubby just left for a run. And I just woke up LO to nurse - too scared to let my boobs go longer than 8 hours. If this happened even once a week I will be in heaven. ETA - for those that are jealous, LO are every hour yesterday for the full day.

    That sounds amazing.

RTT Ladies, I have a request: Enjoy Memorial Day weekend! And while you do, please remember 1st Lt Roz Schulte, my friend and classmate. 5 years ago she was killed by an IED in Afghanistan and buried on Memorial Day, 2009. She was a fantastic person and an awesome leader. Here's an article about her if you want to know more: https://projects.militarytimes.com/valor/air-force-1st-lt-roslyn-l-schulte/4102502 Thanks!
Hey @mamrotu73, I thought of you today-- there was a tribute to 1st Lt. Schulte on NPR! I'm not sure if you heard it, but it you haven't here is the link: https://hereandnow.wbur.org/2014/05/23/remember-memorial-day

    Thanks for your service!

We knew Roz too. DH was in country when she was killed. RIP.

I also use his body wash!

  • I don't sweat while nursing, but I sweat SO much while sleeping now. I can't sleep with more than a sheet, and even then I wake up with so much boob sweat I feel bad making DS eat from them..
I do this too. So. Much. Sweat.

  • Why can't my five week old hold a pacifier in her mouth? She seems to like them but I have to hold it in her mouth or she'll whack it out with her hand or unintentionally push it out with her tongue. Anyone else's baby do this?

That's right! What type of working out are you doing? And how do you manage to do it all (especially if you're nursing)?

  • The wubbanub is the worst for her because she smacks the animal and freaks out when she can't find the paci! I wish it was as awesome as it is for everyone else! And of course I think the worst possible things, like she's developmentally delayed or has some disease of the mouth. I just don't understand, she wants it and it's the same shape as the nipples on her bottle so what the hell?

I hate this mixed with the milk smell if I started leaking in the night. So gross.

  • @Ashleypixie‌ maybe she needs to get used to it? DD struggled to keep it in her mouth in the beginning but now she's a pro!
  • @Mamamonzo I'm sorry he's being a Turd Ferguson. At least he's an adorable one...

Pulled out my bin of summer clothes to try and find something new to wear. This could be really depressing, the post-2-sections muffin top is STRONG.
I went searching today too. Try a dress?
I told my sister to nominate me for What Not To Wear after I lose the baby weight (or however much of it that happens) since I don't wear a uniform everyday anymore and the only clothes that fit now are maternity and the few nursing tops I picked up. She agreed as long as I let her borrow some (we were the same size up until I got pregnant).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the WNTW series ended with a final episode a while back. :(
  • @Mamamonzo‌ he's mad at you. So damn cute.

Cora slept in her PNP (instead of on or directly next to me) for the third night in a row last night. This also means mommy and daddy slept in the same bed three nights in a row. Oh hai hubby, I almost forgot who you were.
how did you get her to sleep in the PNP?? LO sleeps on me/next to me every night and I keep saying I'm going to put her in the pack n play, but I'm always so tired I just keep putting her on me.

Is the infant insert worth the extra money? Penny IS pretty small still. Not quite 9 pounds and 6 weeks...

We used it till LO was 6 weeks and 11 pounds.

Calli do you still use the little pillow part? I'd like to try just using the pillow with C. It's too hot for the papoose part.
No, I use a light blanket like a swaddle one and just bunch it in the bottom.

  • Anyone else a crazy hypochondriac? I think it's my anxiety but every once in a while I convince myself I have something, Dr. google, then get myself all panicked about it. Most recently I decided I had a vaginal prolapse (nooo!) because I decided to check on things down there and I thought it looked different, after looking back to normal. Seriously I was worked up all weekend about it. I just scheduled my 6 week appointment and spoke to my OB and he was like "um no/just stop". I should feel foolish, but I just feel relieved. It's okay to laugh at me.
